Me, too! Although mine would be in the semi-large town where I live :) I would sell books (obviously), and stickers and enamel pins that I would make! And then I can live above the bookstore with my personal book collection.
I really miss my "third place", since COVID has forced so many things closed in my city. So much time in semi-isolation really makes you appreciate the community spirit that places like this facilitate
When she's talking about the 3rd place to just be. That was my local store but it closed a few years ago. Still really sad about it, can't replace the energy of those places.
hi, i'm looking forward to be a bookstore owner as well. i just have a question, i'm wondering where do you get the supplies for books? is it from a middleman? or direct from publishers? Thanks!
Don't know much myself as I'm still researching on it but I found if you Google you can find some book suppliers around you who sell at wholesale prices, so my guess is they are middlemen lol.. Would also need to know more on this too
BTW, it's just something of a technical glitch I found on your video. The sound is not balanced equally when the Bookshop owner is talking. I think it's better to have a look at it. It's kind of a bummer when listening through the earphones. 😉👍
Tbh when I walk into a bookstore I feel infinitely smarter
Its my dream to own a small book store in New York! I plan to sell crystals and some coffee there too! Hopefully I can achieve my dreams :)

@@bobarlotte I love that! Follow your dreams I believe in you!
Me too! I'd mine to be a mix of Oxford and Harry Potter ❤️
Janet is who I wanna be when I grow up

Mines a Starbucks, which is where I am writing the book that I am watching this video for research for.
I'm thinking of starting a bookshop myself. I'm doing my research now.
Thanks so much for featuring Janet and Avid Bookshop!
So happy The Tylt team was able to, Rachel!! We are obviously huge fans :)

She needs artwork above the shelves......huge canvases. That would look awesome.
