จุดหมายปลายทางสุดท้ายของทริปแบ็คแพ็คฟิลิปปินส์มาถึงแล้ว ผมเดินทางมาเยือนเกาะที่สวยที่สุดในฟิลิปปินส์และขึ้นชื่ออีกหนึ่งเกาะที่ดีที่สุดในโลกอีกด้วย วันนี้ผมจะพาไปเที่ยวเกาะพาลาวันกันครับ
อีพีนี้พาเดินทางจากสนามบินเมืองปัวร์โตปรินเซซา ขึ้นไปทางเหนือของเกาะคือเมืองเอลนิโด้ El Nido ซึ่งสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวหลักๆจะอยู่เมืองนี้ สภาพแวดล้อมและธรรมชาติผมว่าเหมือนกันกับที่ไทยเลย เมืองท่องเที่ยวไม่ค่อยดีเท่าไหร่ถ้าเทียบกับบ้านเรา

เจอคนขายหน้าหงิกใส่เป็นเราก็เดินออก หมดอารมณ์เหมือนกัน เกาะที่มีท่องเที่ยวเยอะแท้ๆ แต่ขาดเสน่ห์ของผู้บริการที่ดี ถ้าจะยกกระดับการท่องเที่ยวของเกาะ ฟิลิปปินส์ต้องพัฒนาคน สถานที่ และสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกต่างๆ ของภาคบริการด้วย ตรงนี้สำคัญมาก
เห็นด้วยเรื่องค่าห้องพักแพง จากที่ได้ดูมาหลายๆคลิป อย่างต้นคลิป ห้องพักเหมือนแคปซูล ถ้าราคาขนาดนี้ในไทย หาที่ดีๆหน่อยเผลอๆได้นอนห้องแอร์เตียงเดี่ยว ไม่ก็เตียงคู่สบายๆได้เลยด้วยซ้ำ ผมเจอเรทราคาโรงแรมแบบนี้ที่พังงาบ่อย หรือไปแถวพัทยา คืนนึง 800 บาท แต่นอนกันได้ถึง 3 คน ห้องใหญ่ติดแอร์ มีอาหารเช้าให้ ที่พักอยู่ตรงริมหาดจอมเทียนเลย (**นอนพักเพื่อเตรียมไปต่อที่เกาะล้าน) // (**จากที่อ่านหลายๆคอมเม้นท์ เอาจริงๆเรทราคานี้มันไม่แพงหรอกสำหรับคนไทยมันจ่ายได้สบายอยู่แล้ว แต่ถ้าเทียบกับที่อื่นและเปรียบเทียบในเรื่องของคุณภาพ มันไม่คุ้มค่ากับราคาที่ต้องจ่ายในมุมมองของนักท่องเที่ยว)
ปล.จากที่ดูมาตั้งแต่ EP.1 จนมาถึง EP.นี้ ทำให้รู้นิสัยคนปินส์อย่างนึงเลยคือ ถ้าคุณชมเขา เขาจะต้อนรับคุณอย่างดี แต่หากคุณวิจารย์เขาหรือเพียงแค่แนะนำเขา คุณจะถูกโจมตีด้วยข้อความต่างๆ และบูลลี่คุณ คุณจะโดนล้อเลียนในทันทีไม่ว่าจะเรื่องอะไรก็ตาม เขาจะดึงสิ่งที่ไม่เกี่ยวข้องอื่นๆมาพูดจาแย่ๆใส่คุณในคอมเม้นท์ น่าแปลกที่คนในคลิปคนฟิลิปปินส์เป็นคนน่ารัก และ เป็นมิตรมากๆ จนทำให้ผมอยากไปเที่ยวที่นี่สักครั้ง แต่ในโลกของอินเตอร์เน็ต คนฟิลิปปินส์ไม่ได้น่ารักขนาดนั้น
นี่แหละนิสัยคนปิน ต้องอวยอย่างเดียว ห้ามติ ทั้งๆสิ่งที่พูดมันก็ความจริงทั้งนั้น
I agree, but we are not all like that. But I understand that a lot of Filipinos are so butt hurt even with honest reviews. We really need honest feedback for improvement. I hope you would still try to visit the Philippines even though most Filipinos are like that on the internet. Cheers!

Honestly, there's a type of those people around the world. ex. It is like when white people discriminating colored people ( doesn't mean, all white people are like that right ? ) it is not surprising at all, we are human, human are greedy, some are bad and some are just evil and some are good, it is not about the race , it is about individual character and personality.
We never meet the good ones, because they may not the type of arguing here on nonsense arguments.
We should never generalized things, it just lead to chaos.
I understand that you have your own opinion and you have the right to tell what you observe.
For me, we still not meet every people around the world to make assumptions about one race or other race. I know nothing about each own personality. _People are not the same_ not surprising
Every country has its own problem, wether in economy, tourism, safety, and I definitely agree that Philippines needs a lot of improvement, it depends on those in power now, how they make a change, hopefully they do the right thing for the sake of the people not just for their own sake, *sigh

*I saw the comments of "some" filipino here and it also triggered me how they say inappropriate things, not tolerating those behaviors but we can't avoid it or stop them.

เพิ่งไปอ่าวมาหยามาเมื่อเดือนที่แล้ว สวยมากตั้งแต่ปิดเกาะไปธรรมชาติกลับมาสวยมาก อยากให้ซันนี่ลองไปดูอีกครั้ง
The difference of hostel fees I think is base of the location,it's expensive when the location is closer to the beach and cheaper when it's far.For me Coron Palawan is more budget friendly spot☺️
It's expensive everywhere here in the Philippines. If you check his vlogs from other countries, he usually stays at ~$5 hostels.

The next time you travel Philippines, you should visit the Cordillera, especially Sagada, or Baguio if you are looking for colder climates and more peace in nature.
Yeah, because Boracay,Bohol and el nido is very common tourist destination..why didn't he also visit northern Philippines or Southern Philippines because Bicolanos and Ilocanos product are not much expensive compared to Visayan.....

Sorry for the bad experience,, but i thank you also for choosing Philippines as one of your bucket list..yet there are some problems you might encounters but believe me, we the Filipinos are friendly and hospitable, and as an Asian people we cares others, because i've been living here in Thailand for 5 years now..and palawan is almost the same island in Phuket, amazing beach,..hope you have more time to explore the Philippines and keep enjoying your travel ..stay safe...khapkunkrap 🙏
ผมล่ะไม่ชอบเลยคับกับธุรกิจเรือเที่ยวที่ชอบมาจอดตามชายหาด แค่กลิ่น น้ำมัน เวลาออกเรือ มันทำลายความสะอาดของชายหาดโดยสิ้นเชิง อยากให้ตั้งจุดจอดเรือห่างจากหาดนักท่องเที่ยวจะดีมากๆคับ มันจะดูสะอาดตา สวยงามมากๆ
Thanks sunny, I have learned a lot from your experiences. I saw your channel when I was looking for travel experience in Vietnam. Then I found out your channel. Too bad you had left Indonesia at the same time I found your channel. But your vlogging style is very addictive and honest. Thanks for english subtitle, I feel like I was travelling with you and started to watch all the series you had. Sometimes I saw the comments and even though I am new here, but I notice that you got a massive subscribers in Philippines series. The comments become vary and and changing. In previous series, most of comments are quite peaceful but in these series, the comments which dominated by thais and filipinos, they started comparing to each other. To be honest it also affect me to look more on comments than the video itself 😂. Then from the comments, I realize that all ASEAN countries at least have same mentality
1. We are very nationalistic which often create overproud behaviour
2. Overproud behaviour then also create two distinguish habits. Sometimes we started to look superior at countries which look poorer or more disorganized (recently a lot indonesians really like to watch travel vlog in india or slum areas in U.S. It is an eye opening for them and wake up indonesians how thankful they are living in right now). Then in other side overproud behaviour also make some people begin to hate criticisms and only want compliments
So beside your vlogs, I also learned a lot from the comments you get hahaha. Always looking forward for the next trip series. Maybe you are on the way to India right now so I hope you have a nice trip there. I lost my smartphone and had worst experience in India, hope you do not experience the same things such as me.
P.S. Indians have their own online cab application called "ola". Cab in India was much expensive than Gojek or Grab but much safer rather than take public transportation. Hope it helps you for next trip!
I watched til the end. A very detailed vlog. I also went there and it was also gloomy and raining most of the time. We are also travel vloggers like you. It’s good to see Palawan at a different perspective. Nice vlog! 🌴❤️
I feel you! even locals here find it expensive to travel esp the hotel and transpo most of them are overpriced. The PH government should do something about it but of course it's not their priority. lol but enjoy your Vacay!

Tas yung ibang pinoy naman, di makatanggap ng negative comments eh yun yung naexperience niya dito sa pinas eh. Mas mabuti nga na nakikita natin yung negative side sa tourism industry natin eh para matama ng DOT at makagawa ng possible solutions.

Ang transportation system wala talagang kwenta kaya sobrang pricey mag travel sa Pilipinas. Isa pang dapat matutonan ng mga Pilipino, ang tamang pagtrato sa mga customer. Kapag mag-order ka feel mo talaga madaming masungit kahit sa school canteen namin.

One thing I hate about traveling here in the PH is the accomodation prices. Hotels are really expensive. When we traveled to Palawan 3 years ago, we were shocked with the prices on the menu. They were quite expensive too. I mean I don't mind paying for good food, kaya lang ung quality hindi akma sa presyo.
That's what you call bad Planning.. what we did first was checking on other bloggers who already went there getting some good tips! so you would end up of good experience..
We had a great time in Puerto Princesa and El Nido. Compared to Puerto Princesa, El Nido doesn't provide many options especially for food.

100% correct regarding quality of accomodation and price in Philippines compared to other parts of Asia and even other cities outside of Asia. Finding quality accomodation will cost you an arm and a leg and if its affordable you will be surprised how terrible it is.

Even for us majority of Filipinos, many places in Palawan are really expensive or pricey since it has a lot of expensive hotels and beach resorts.

เคยไปเที่ยวชายหาดเวียดนาม โอกินาว่า จีนกับเกาหลีใต้ ทำให้ผมหายสงสัยเลย ทำมั้ยฝรั่งชอบมาเที่ยวทะเลเมืองไทย โดยเฉพาะฝั่งอันดามัน / โอกินาว่า นี่สวยนะ แต่ค่าใช้จ่ายแพงกว่าไทยเยอะ ฝรั่งเลยชอบมาทะเลไทยมากกว่า

i am a filipino and the thing you said about hostels or hotels having a high fee but low quality is true! i have been to other countries too and when i compare it like if you stay on a 3 star hotel in other countries, it is much better and the quality of the rooms are great, but here in the philippines it is not

Amanpulo in Cuyo is the most expensive,Elnido,Taytay,San Vicente Coron are places most known in Palawan and for diving Tubataha reef is absolutely paradise and in Puerto princesa you must also visit Underground River
As a Thai, I have seen so much improvement of tourism industry in Thailand. We wouldn't have come this far without a long-term planning. As far as I remember, when I was young, back in 1987 or 35 years ago, it was the first year Thailand launched "Visit Thailand Year" campaign before few years later changed its campaign name to "Amazing Thailand" and it was super successful. Back then, the infrastructure of the country wasn't as good as today. But we saw the future of tourism industry that would pull in so much income, then a lot of budgets being spent for infrastructure improvement as we see it nowadays. However, it's been such a long way to go for Thailand to be a wealthy nation like Japan. But the government is continuously working on it for Thai people sakes in general, I believe.

I love your guts. I wish I could travel with someone like you. I'm so bad at negotiating and I tend to please people too much. 😅 I hope you'll visit Philippines again. Don't be discouraged by how other locals treated you. We have more to offer. Maybe next time, check out where there's a festival ot Fiesta. You won't have to worry about food and drinks! Every house will welcome you. Try Masbate if you want white sands, seafood, rodeo,caves, etc. Less tourists so you won't get tourist price. Try to avoid touristy destinations, they are expensive. Like in Boracay, it's 2 hrs boat ride away from Masbate, we can visit anytime without paying too much.

I agree with you. And i think The reason why accomm is more expensive in PH vs other countries is because there are less supply. It is harder to find accom the more remote places you go to. Thats the difference with other countries where there are more supplies and tourists have more options.
it's really expensive here. and that's because the tourism industry here is geared towards the upper class and westerners, instead of making it affordable for everyone. you can go to malaysia and the really good hotels are cheap, even in cambodia. but here in the Philippines, and i'm speaking as a filipino, the prices of the hotels and resorts are good for people who earn euros, dollars, for japanese and Korean. that's why it's rare to see other south east asians traveling here since it's expensive. even ordinary Filipinos can't afford it. the cheap ones are ugly, especially the bathroom. if the prices are affordable more people will travel here and that will improve the tourism of this country.

That waiter thought you were just another normal Phillipino so he wasn't very customer friendly towards you. If you had been a White tourist, he would have treated you better. That's how Phillipinos are.
Same in Thailand. I looked like a Thai, But, Im a fair complexion pure Filipino, Thais, they shouted at me many times 😆😁🤣
That's normal in most of the countries all around the world. Just take your siblings as example. Syempre parehas kayo ng dugo kaya medyo nalalabas mo mga panget na ugali mo. Pero if other people, kumbaga ibang pamilya medyo nahihiya ka at you want to serve them more gently. HAHAHAHA. Parehas dito sa india, kapag foreigner ka or filipino medyo hospitable sila pero nakikita mong medyo ganyan rin umasta kapag kalahi nila yung kausap. Not all pero mas malaki chance makakuha ka ng respect kapag naiibang lahi ka😆

cuz he's just a tourist. He's just showing a tiny (as in part, not the importance ) percentage of what you've got to see that literally all country has (talking about THE bad side). Its not his fault to not see the bigger picture of our country since he's not from here and knows few things. He's might be just being careful based on his experiences on other countries just like how Americans thinks it's unsafe in Davao City but here we see it as the safest and how we think it's unsafe in America. We don't have to be ashamed if he showed the bad side of our country, infact it should be a cue for us to fix the current problem since the problems were addressed. That's why you have to put yourself in his perspective and you'll understand why he's doing that.

What would you think of Francis’ viewers reactions when they heard him saying something like what Sunnie said in this video?
Pinoy audience is so sensitive. They praise the vlogger when they say nice things about Ph but when they state the obvious, Pinoy bashed them. Also, Sunny’s a Thai so Thais are watching his vlog. And obviously, they got to know more about Ph through his vlog. The same way we learn about other country through Francis vlog.

@@dantesalazar7805 You don't have to be someone to criticize. Criticism don't have to be constructive and obviously it isn't destructive. He's just saying what he sees and his OPINIONS. All facts and no misleading information was provided. For ex: He said he feels unsafe on a dark alley but that doesn't mean that the alley was unsafe. Some of us are just easily offended by simple critisicms who are way too naive. Can't you take criticisms? You can't expect them to say all nice things they see but not the good things. Maybe he addressed most of the bad things but that doesn't generally mean there's no/few good things to see.

I also commented the same in one of his video. I love to see the kinds of them very honest in their review. Brave enough to tour solo and try new things and always budget minded. Mga tourist from developed countries kasi iba ang mindset. They prefer comfort. And also iba rin mindset pagdating sa pera.
He has a good point. The cost of renting a hostel in a tourist spot is underwhelming. Whether the cost of renting a hostel is appropriate or inappropriate, the interior is substandard most likely.

Yup! (Biggest tourist trap of all) Accommodations are Pretty darn expensive here including bike rentals, some restaurants and that annoying addendums of fees. it seems to cater more for foreign travelers in mind, rather than local tourist. Sadly,That’s why traveling TH-camrs like yourselves are a hit. You get to experience what most Filipinos can only dream of.
