The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is one of the most powerful mantras for Shiva, with an emphasis on the power of Shiva to free us from worldly misery and suffering, by realizing our true nature and becoming liberated. The mantras are chanted with clear pronunciation in the proper Vedic intonation, and at a slow speed which makes it ideal for meditation.
It has a special benefit to chant these mantras 108 times. The number 108 is significant as the nine planets moving through twelve constellations create 108 different effects or influences on our lives, and thus chanting a mantra 108 times has a beneficial effect on all these different vibrations. To make your mantra practice really effective, chant the mantra, or listen to it in a meditative state, every day - this will make it more and more powerful. It is said that when one chants or listens to the mantra daily, for a certain number of days, the mantra becomes like a Kavacham, or an ‘armour’, that protects the person from negativity and harm, both on the gross and subtle level. This chant is part of the album Mantra Kavacham, by Swami Purnachaitanya.

Vasant Paranjpe received from Master Parama Sadguru Shree Gajanam Maharaj (1918-1987) the mission to make Agni Hotra known throughout the world. He wrote the book: "Homa Therapy, our last chance". There he explains that this mantra known as Triambakam or Mahamritjunjaya mantra is one of the Homas that can be done in conjunction with the "sacred fire" to help purify the planet's atmosphere. I was fortunate, honored, and happy to meet Vasant Paranjpe personally and I bear witness to his humility and the fulfillment of his mission to help decontaminate the planet.

Amazing how you apply the anusvara sandhi by uttering the anunaasika of palatal group. Commonly it is done with semivowel Y but very few know that both Ngya and Y are palatal sounds.

Swamiji, this is the best recitation I have EVER heard - soothing and following swara niyamas 🙏. But it doesnt have Om preceding each recitation 😢 I beg you to recite with "Om" for each recitation 🙏 please please please 🙏

That is not for general use, it needs certain initiations.

People are of the opinion that all mantras are like roadside taxi/cab.and any body can call for it.
They are not aware of many, many prerequisites for chanting mantras such as iNitiation, place, time of chanting etc.,.

It is chanted initially, but as the mantra itself does not include Om, and the mantra is repeated, it was not repeated.

Ashtang Yoga these are not “lyrics”, it is mantra 😅🙈. And it is written “bandhanaat mrityor”, but due to sandhi if pronounced in one flow, and not as separate lines, it becomes “bandhanaan-mrityor”. If you would take a pause after “bandhanaat” then it is pronounced as “bandhanaat”
