I'm a big complainer about crappy background music, but I have to say you chose some great tracks! Thanks a million for posting this!.

    Thanks for posting this.
Just last night I had a dream of my fiance & me driving in her Mercury Capri. She passed away 20 years ago, but the best year of my life was when we lived in CV, back in 1980.
Miss my two buds, Jeff & Dale who lived on Spruce Ct.

WOW!! This whole video was of my neighborhood, OTAY. You captured all the places I walked around and seen as a kid in the 80's - 2000's. You even capture my grandmas house, My house, my aunts house. I almost cried watching this. Even the Otay Park where I grew up doing it ALL!!!! Thank you so much for this. ORTEGA Family!!!

At the end of this video, it shows the construction of the Sears department store... Man, a lot of shopping we did there. Sadly, it closed it's doors there forever just this last year 2019...

I appreciate the foresight you had then, You felt it important to capture life in the surrounding area you lived. To preserve what was and knowing in your heart that it would all change one day... I also feel a sense of regret for not doing the same in my area where I grew up... Our house was on Guatay ave. I attended Cook School... I'd love to take a trip down memory lane remembering the gas station on the corner of Hilltop and Naples and the market behind it "Mayfair!"... I'd love to see Telegraph Canyon road between the 805 freeway and Oleander ave. As a 6 or 7 year old we'd ride our bicycles to that area as there was a bicycle makeshift track there before the Telegraph Canyon business plaza was ever thought of...Anyway, I think it will always be a memory in my mind... God Bless †

I lived off of Zenith in the 80s. Used to walk to the Kmart to look around. The old library was in a strip mall by the mobile homes.

Back when brand new houses with a pool were $60K. The drug and human smuggling was off the charts!
