the cactus looking thing that got one shot by saitama is actually insanely strong, he's the strongest fighter in the crew beside the boss (so yes, he's stronger than the 5 head guy that's fighting 4 S class), and he's basically the bang of the crew as he had over 20 different hand to hand combat techniques

I don’t think the S class heroes struggled. Because the alien creature they fought was not stronger than any one of them. Once they identified its weakness, it was a piece of cake for them.
Imagine that the strongest Heroes are supposed to be protecting u, ur friends and ur family, and then, despite nearly all of them right there, everything goes to shit in an instant... poor residents of City A, RIP, Heroes failed u, showing they are just Humans too...
I mean doesn’t matter if they won or not, they still tried to protect you, a total stranger. That alone is something to be grateful for. At that point if you got problems then you do a better job lol
