I like that Saitama asks Mumen if Garo was stronger than the Deep Sea King. As if Mumen is in a position to tell. Saitama is so much stronger than everyone else, he has trouble differentiating Mumen's power level from anyone else's. But he respects Mumen as a hero, and so he asks.

I think Saitama respects Mumen so much because he saw how Mumen went way above his limit, he gave his all to fight Sea King. Saitama doesn't quite know/understand the feeling, the rush of going above limits. He has forgotten that and recognizes that in Mumen.
@@rxhx Hell yeah, that was the moment where he earned Saitama's respect. Even if Saitama can't really judge the scale of the fight, he still sees a dude giving it his all against impossible odds. Compared to the S and A class heroes he meets, here's a dude actually being heroic.

I always thought of Garou like an evil version of Goku.
He is a prodigy of martial arts, learns and adapts to fighting styles quickly and just wants to fight stronger and stronger guys (in this case S-class heroes)

1. Whaaaat? Goro would run home to his mama in Netherworld-junior or wherever he's from, if he would meet Garo! Garo would finish his Mortal Kombat career before it even begins!
2. Well, Mumen Rider did attack him and he does hate all heroes and thinks they deserve a lesson to which I happen to agree. Heroes bulshit starts to stink and Garo calls it out. They keep splashing the monsters organs all over the place without as much as a trial to assert quantity and quality of guilt. How about a taste of your own medicine MF-ers, Garo asks! But... Mumen Rider is not like that, he is A TRUE hero, sadly Garo doesn't know that, although he should have to be honest, Mumen protected even him here when it was just, he should've noticed that, I agree. But he doesn't kill anyone, just beats them to a pulp, so there's that.
3. I wish to see Garo give a kiss to Amai Mask too, I honestly YEARN for it! It's one of my life's goals right now!
4. Garo's story will be revealed in 2 sequences, one in an episode very soon and one towards the end of the season. What I like about that story is how mundane it truly is. It's not even far fetched at all, it's extremely likely to happen even today, all over the fking planet! That's what I love about it, it's as believable as it gets. But nobody knows it and nobody cares, only Garo and us, the viewers.

If there is something that I have learned from the hierarchical system of heroes, it is that your rank does not indicate your power, maybe it is not so noticeable with the C, B, and A ranks but when we see the S class Heroes We can notice that the range does not always determine if someone is stronger than another, we can see this in OVA 6, Silverfang was worried about King's intentions, which tells us that even though he is 4 positions above him, silverfang still believes they can have the ability to fight at the same level (of course now not much can be said about it because King turned out to be a fraud).
But what I'm trying to say is that ranks don't determine your power level, but probably your rate of efficiency when dealing with monsters or any danger in general, The number should not be taken as a measure of strength, but of effectiveness.
This is why Tatsumaki is ranked 2, because his psychic powers give him an almost absolute range of effectiveness, but he looks far below Blast's abilities, which havent yet been fully revealed.

Despite the season as a whole being an overall downgrade compared to the first in terms of quality, this episode (mainly certain parts of it like the Garou vs Tank Top Master fight) is evidence that the season DOES have some great animation. If they were given enough time, I’m the staff could have made something MUCH closer to season 1’s quality (not saying they’d match it, but it would be a lot better).
Definitely mate, and there are other fights where the animation is pretty great too, and others moments where it is least good enough, unfortunately there wasn't enough time to complete the rest. All that aside, i loved S2, just hoping here season 3 won't have the problems during production that S2 had.
