FYI Lavinia at 3:00-3:12 would not activate since only one unit was called (being herself) at the time of her placement. Even though Gurguit's skill is still in the midst of resolving, unless unite is either achieved before her call or if she achieves unite when she's called, she is considered to be called before unite is active.
Since Gurguits skill is still being worked on, you don't really have to look at the cost of one skill before. I've done that play before and no one has said it's not allowed. So *shrugs*
I've seen it being talked about in the comments of Gurguit's wiki page. I too have done this play a billion times and no one has said anything about it, but after seeing what people have said, it seems like you can't her skill if she's the first one placed.
How do you check the timing of Lavinia's on place skill before completing Holy Sword Gurguit's skill?
I guess the argument is that she was placed as a card before unite was officially active even though Gurguit's skill is still continuing. Because the two cards called from stride skill aren't called at the same time, like how Upheaval works, that fact that she was called when unite was not active when she is placed is why she doesn't work. I'm assuming that's how people see her not working, but I can also see why see would work. In theory, you do have to complete Gurguit first before anything else can happen, and both Lavinia and other call are called through the same ability enabling unite by the time either card can activate.

Richard Gilroy This may seem a little off topic considering the video, but I think you guys should make an in-depth beginners guide to Buddyfight. You guys praise that game so much and it makes me wanna get into it, but the online guides are a bit confusing. And without someone to sit down with and explain the rules as we play, im kinda screwed. I don't wanna drop money on a game I barely understand. I can't be the ONLY person who feels this way. I'm sure by doing a guide video more of your die hard vanguard subscribers will get into the game and appreciate your Buddyfight content more.
I love that their buddyfight videos can't even get half the views of their Vanguard videos. They are too capitalist to expunge their Vanguard content completely so they are forced into labor that they themselves don't enjoy.
