I feel like all of us who are deeply touched by FF music are one family....
That´s true....specially because most of the people who don´t play VG´s are missing lots of amazing songs just like this one. And for the ones who do know about FF tracks and happly enjoy them.
I feel like final fantasy is the perfect name to for the music and art created in this space. Cause for many of us its hard for us to go back to that nostalgic place . the final fantasy before we take what we've loved and bring it to the real world. 🌺
yeoldmedic: Fun fact, the first game was named Final Fantasy because they thought that would be their last game (they were running out of money). Luckily the first made a ton of money and now we have a treasure trove of beautiful music. I especially love Nobou Uematsu’s piano pieces.
@@MossyMos yes I love that tidbit! I was just playing eyes on me I'm a guitar player and multi instrumentalist. This music is very special to me and I want to create great melodies of my own some day. I mean I do everyday, but maybe get them to the masses as well :)

I just played FF9 for the first time. I am 28 years old and I felt like I had played this game before. I definitely loved it

I played this arrangement for my older sisters wedding, she marched down the isle to it. Years later played it for a dear friends funeral service. No other song from the series has as much emotional impact as this one in my opinion. You played it better than I ever could, my friend would be smiling at this this. Thank you 🙏

When my son was first born I played this song while I was driving to get everybody food by myself. I've never cried so hard in my life. This song is very moving and had hit the deepest parts of my emotions. 💕✨

Final Fantasy IX's soundtrack is without a doubt in my heart the most beautiful soundtrack Nobuo Uematsu has ever written.
these songs bring back so much nostalgia it makes my 30 year old ass cry. especially seeing them performed. amazing job.

There are so many Final Fantasy songs to choose from. The list is endless. But this song is so hard to listen to, especially the lyrics resonate with me so much. I met my wife 14yrs ago in a Final Fantasy 12 forum. We shared our love for Final Fantasy games and music. When she passed away Jan 2022, this song "Melodies of Life" describes so perfectly the love I have for her. May she go to the sky beyond the flying birds - forever and beyond. (My dearest love). I know you've put the piece out for 6yrs, but I come to listen often to this song and shed my tears all over again.

Coming back and listening to this after having finally finished IX, I started crying as soon as the first note came.

This game was so important to me, in the early 2000's I had a troubled adolescence and I really seek and found relief in videogames, specially the Square Enix games teach me a lot about art, architecture, design and music, I learned about classic music, progressive rock etc.
Even if I wasnt the happiest of the kids I remember those times fondly thanks to some of those games, a couple o books, some albums and some movies.
I just loves FF9, my personal favourite with FF6

I don't know how they do it, sometimes. The perfect topping off of the leitmotif. "Love's short refrain." Thinking of Vivi, and all the other personal story archs of the characters: rips the tear out of the eyeball.

This song is so underrated. I think because its between 8 and 10 which both have some of the best OSTs in the series its forgotten, at least that's the case for me. I've been replaying this game lately and this song is just beautiful and you played it so wonderfully, thank you!
9 is universally considered the best FF soundtrack. For me like half of my favorites are from it alone. And this is the best piece.

i played ff8, ff9, and ff7 but ff9 is the game that really change my outlook in life.. every game is great but ff9 is just something.. I am currently playing it on switch, the first time i played it is when i am just elementary, now that i can fully understand the game and the story.. i was hooked even more.. this game really brought tears to my eyes..
