I got to get one of those horns plumbed up.... Have an old sugar cane locomotive one collecting dust in my shed we scrapped years ago when I was an apprentice diesel fitter in north Queensland. Nice looking truck mate....good to see young blokes like yourself taking an interest in these beauties.
Bit of a coincidence but I also have a 1988 Landcruiser HJ75 ute with a 12H-T here in QLD. Mine's largely unmodified though, it was previously a farm ute (split rims, no snorkel etc) and I quite like it in that form.
So gotta get one of those air horns.... Enjoying your practicality over powder coated graphite grey approach. Seriously, where did you get that horn from? I’ve looked on eBay and it’s all electronic. BESIDES I’ve broken my second clockspring (and hence horn button and airbag) on my vdj 79 in 12 months. It was running a strong electronic horn but nowhere near the sound that I wanted. And apparently the 79’s break clocksprings frequently.... sigh.
I got the air horn from an old Mack truck i had. I've never seen a place that sells any but my best guess would be to check out a truck shop like Mack trucks or something. Been meaning to have a look myself but never had the chance
Thanks mate! I got the reverse camera from jbhi, i just went for a cheap one but so far its been great for the price. I purchased it when it was on special for $80. If you wanted a really clear image I would spend a bit more money around $200. This is the one I got: www.jbhifi.com.au/gps-car-audio/smartcar/smartcar-rcs43m-reverse-camera-with-built-in-reverse-sensors-and-4-3-monitor/807243/
I got them from Australian door cards here: australiandoorcards.com.au/collections/landcruiser/products/toyota-landcruiser-70-series-abs-door-cards-manual-window-models-2-door-models-black
Hey bro just got my cup holders ! Yeewww pretty happy with them :D but i peeled off the sticker and the paint came with :S Biggest rookie mistake! Just wondering where you got your paint from was just going to do a quick patch :D Thanks heaps for the videos !
Buildin70s thanks heaps mate ! You guys are legends ! Can’t wait to see what’s going to happen with the 79 ! The cup holders are the essential piece of equipment my cruiser needed ! Can’t recommend them enough ! Cheers heaps!
Love your build mate keep the vids coming. Was wondering how you got a hold of that snorkel/filter? I have a 75 of my own and that looks absolutely beast
Nothing, you can do it with any reverse camera! All you need to do is wire it to the 'on' position on the ignition barrel (not to the reverse lights) so when you turn the key the power turns on the camera and it stays on until you turn it off

Nice mate, can't beat the 12ht! I don't mind the 75s when there unmodified, split rims look good on them i think.
keep making it awesome!!
Curious as to where you got the diesel tank. I have been really enjoying your videos. Appreciate your fresh and simple approach to the build.

awesome horn mate, just wondering if it is air horn pull cord is an air valve or if you can get electric pull switches to power the horn??
Thanks mate, it's an air valve. you should be able to get a electric one just not to sure where you would get it
Hey mate, where did you get the plastic tubs for your cutlery from?
Could you reply with the link as to where you bought the rear veiw mirror screen (aka reverse camera)?
So gotta get one of those air horns....

Thanks mate, made the snorkel myself and just purchased a truck filter from eBay
@@Buildin70soath thats awesome mate
What size Shackles are you running??
sick
Is that snorkel steel or stainless. If it's steel how'd you go about coating the inside so it doesn't rust
It's stainless, definitely worth the extra money!
Buildin70s yeah that's for sure.
Where did you get the diesel tank from
I got it from Facebook marketplace from someone who got it custom made
How much horsepower does that turbo ad
What gauges are you running in your dash pod?
There the Saas trax dual gauges
what kit did u use for the reverse camera to be permanently on? want something similar but dunno what to order
Pretty sure you can just order any kit and ground the camera to make it permanently on
Nothing, you can do it with any reverse camera! All you need to do is wire it to the 'on' position on the ignition barrel (not to the reverse lights) so when you turn the key the power turns on the camera and it stays on until you turn it off
where abouts do you put a spare tyre in
I actually made a bracket for it yesterday. I just put it on the tray, that was pretty much the only spot I could put the tyre.
@@Buildin70s yeah fairo then, cant wait to see it finished
