I got a 5/8in hole punch for $7 on amazon to make what I call crimp cards just to ensure the crimp comes out nice. I use single ply cardstock like cereal boxes or even old primer boxes and it works excellent.
Yeah. I’m doing the same thing. I’ve found that cheap, dollar store paper plates work great to use as media to punch out disks with. I can get 35 disks out of 1 paper plate.
Hey Tyler, I’ve done a ton of big buckshot testing in those hulls as i have 2000 of the old school put up. I have found necessary to put 20 ga .050” undershot card in CB1138-12 wad because the big pellets will destroy the shot cup floor and end up often blowing the gas seal. That small undershot card normally takes care of it. Great video , can’t wait to see the range performance as I’ve done many of these without the buffer but all other stuff the same. Awesome buddy!
We’ve had that happen too actually, so has wade rush. Seems to happen with the larger pellets when loaded fairly warm. I kept these mild though so we’ll see if it happens again.
Have made 1,000’s of buckshot loads with this Claybuster wad (no wrap, no buffer) with 700X, Longshot, Green Dot, Unique, and a couple of others in silver and red AA’s, Gold’s, and various other pick up hulls. Claybuster wads never disappoint.
Great video. How is the hull holder I sent you for roll crimping working out? I would like to see a video like this for the 20 gauge maybe using 3" cheddite hulls.
I subscribed to your channel. I began shooting shotguns in the 70’s with my father. We used to shoot trap together. We were in leagues and various competitions throughout the state of Michigan. My father had a FFL and used to buy supplies and firearms for the club members. We would go on trips together to pick up supplies. Typically he would buy twenty or thirty kegs of powder. Most of the shooters used 700x or red dot. A lot of the guys would buy 5000 wads at a time. I remember days when we would go through 250 shells on the trap range. My dad used a Mec 650 for reloading. It was a good system, however some of the guys had an electric press. Those are the guys that used to go to Vandalia and compete. I thought we were serious about trap shooting until I saw those guys at Vandalia. My favorite shotgun was a model twelve. I liked the BT-99, but the model twelve was my favorite. I love your channel and it makes me want to get back into reloading.
Would the 27 grains of longshot and 32 cal shot be adequate for deer hunting? I know the buckshot size will work but my question references the longshot load, I hope my question makes sense. Great video by the way.
Wow I just got done loading some 12 pellet and 10 pellet #0 with the cb1138 wad and longshot. HS hulls unfortunately as I've run out of compression formed lol. Thanks for the video!
Another great video. Can't wait to see the range test. Thanks for all the info you share. I got a mid. crimp die and my crimps look alot better. I also picked up a taper die that works good too. Again thanks for the info and keep them coming.
Oh by the way , not editing video works fine because you are just like us then at home, we to grab wrong shot, bump stuff and spill, etc.. we all do same , if you haven’t, you will soon enough!
I love your channel, but please, no more powder coated pellets! Powder coating is ceramic coating. It is harder than any metal and will destroy barrels and chokes! We both know someone will overfill a shot cup.
Factories make powder coated bullets all the time man nothing to worry about. We, and so many others, have been shooting powder coated stuff for years/decades with no issues. If it was an issue, no one would be doing it. Nothing to worry about man.
@@kerryburns8058 Look up bubba rountree outdoors video on powder coating buckshot. We do it to color coordinate sizes and to prevent lead build up in barrels if not using a shot cup.

Same here, I use manila file folders to punch out overshot cards.
Nice.
Yeah same here I use these ek craft punches for 410 up to 37mm stuff
@@theshotgunscientists What is the buffer for and do you put it in all shells or just for buckshot?Sorry new to all this lol

Would you mind showing us the set up on the? Gaep RIBASSATORE how you make it fit in the Lee load all
Watch the video titled the tools we use every day I go over that there thanks for watching
@@theshotgunscientists ok thank you
Those are very useful wads. They preform better than you would think. Affordable too.
Exactly
Excellent video. Thanks Tyler. Would love to see how these loads pattern.
Definitely coming for sure

It’s over 1300 fps man it’ll work lol check out the range video we did on these
Love this wad, great with large lead too. Coyote loads and what not. Great video bud!
Thanks
Great video with great information as always. Keep up the amazing work Sir.
Sure will man thanks

This is VERY good Tyler. EXCELLENT information in there. Keep it up man!!!
Thanks man
Great video, Tyler. Don't worry about editing. it makes you more relatable. Are these loads transferable to roll crimp?
Yeah but you’d probably need 29 grains in a straight wall and flare the wad out/paper towel under it.
deserves a sub, nice work
Thanks man
IDK if you guys saw but BP has steel F shot on sale for 40% off. I got some and loaded some 1 1/8 loads with tps1275 and they are some meanies.
That’s cool. I had someone send some F steel recently, a whole bag. That’s a good deal though man. Big pellets lol.
Another great video! I’ve been reading about coyote loads using BB or F shot. Have you ever experimented with either size?
Both several times actually
Thanks. Is wood sawdust or azek sawdust good buffer?
I’m not sure to be honest.

Trust me, you do just fine…. We’re all just your average folks here. Ain’t a one of us that wouldn’t say it all perfect and not fumble here and there
Thanks man
Great video. Where did you get that rebasator crimper
Bpi
I looked and they are out of stock. 😊 thanks
great video, awesome data
Glad you liked it
And thank you u always make great videos and I learned a lot watching
Thanks man
Can these loads as is be used in AA HS gray series hulls?
Tapered hulls share the same data so yep sure can
I know this has nothing to do with this Video, but are you aware of ANY TYPE other than the TPS Wad that will work in a 28ga. TSS Turkey loads ?
I don’t think there is any. Maybe the hv28 with Mylar.
Thanks

A 10 minute video from me actually probably takes about 20 minutes to film on average because I can’t talk right and drop stuff constantly lol
Which gaep will give me a taper finish
Bn series
Great Video
Thanks
Great video
Thanks
