Grandma made EVERYTHING yummy at Christmas... Chocolate fudge, divinity, every type of cookie and pie you can imagine, coconut cake, delicious cranberry salads and jello molds... plus, her noodles and dressing were LEGENDARY! Awww, been there and done that on burning the chocolate! Girlfriend, get yourself some Almond bark! Walmart sells it and it melts perfectly in the microwave! You can even reheat it when it starts to harden. Once I discovered it, it’s all I use now. Much love xoxo

You were still having fun. Tip: add some coconut oil to your chocolate .It will add shine and and thin out the chocolate for dipping. Melt chocolate on very low and keep over water (off flame) to dip.Love them all. I'll try chips

One of our family favorites around Christmas was my Nana’s Biscochito cookies. They are basically a crisp sugar cookie flavored with cinnamon and anise seeds then dusted in cinnamon sugar. They are a family fave and a traditional New Mexico cookie. They always remind of my Nana and her holiday baking traditions. She made tons of goodies but she was famous for these.

My mother is such a GREAT cook. She always makes caramel popcorn at Christmas for us all while we are making our candy. Everything she cooks is Delish! Right down to her beans and cornbread. Moms are the best.

Instead of chocolate chips, you should use almond bark. It’s specifically for coating things. It works so much better!

One package of white almond bark plus 1 ounce bakers semi sweet chocolate squares (4 1/4 sections) melt in microwave. Stir every minute. Add one bag of semi sweet chocolate chip (12 oz) stir to melt it (don’t heat at this point...warmth from other mix will melt it). Delicious, easy, looks creamy and delicious. Nice bite. Just....yum

Tradition in my Polish family is making Kolaczki’s with different fruit fillings. Also another tradition is spritz Christmas tree cookies, and candy cane cookies. We bake big time around the holidays. For Christmas dinner we always make a lunch meat platter with potato salad, baked beans, and olives and pickles and cheese cubes.

I’m so happy that you just stopped and realized that all doesn’t have to be perfect! Lots of women don’t even attempt what you do. So just keep trying. It’s how you learn. Read as much as you can or watch Others TH-cam videos. That’s how I have learned so much. There are so many things I have had to learn that most men do around a home bc my husband died three years ago. He was my Bunkey! He was my first and only love and I miss him terribly. We have three grown sons who are married now with children. So live and love all you can! God bless

Ooooh Christmas treats. My Grandma always made cookies and candies every Christmas - my fave being those peanut butter cookies with the Hershey kiss on top, coconut cornflake cookies, buckeyes, and cow pies (buckeyes are peanut butter balls covered in chocolate and cow pies are raisins and slivered almonds covered in chocolate) my Grandma passed away 2 years ago so Christmas is hard because her bday is the 23rd and we always had Christmas Eve at her house and obviously we can’t do that anymore. Every year we got a pajama set and ornament from her, and $50 bucks from her dog haha. She said he can’t shop cause he’s a dog so he gives us money. I never dared ask how he got to the bank hahaha. I have a very small family with just my mom, sister (and her in-laws) 1 uncle, and 1 cousin who has 1 kid but they live in Vegas which is about 4 hours from me (Long Beach CA). We try to keep our traditions alive but it’s harder each year. I will never forget about Christmas with my Gma (we called her g-ma)

I don't know how she did it. My favorite cookie she made was called seven layer cookies. Yummmm miss her dearly. 🙏❤️🌹💔

Hi Jessica! You should get yourself a small dip size crockpot to melt your chocolates in for dipping treats. You won't have to worry about chocolate scorching and it stays warm while dipping, remember to use the low setting.

You've inspired me to attempt some of them. I'm usually the one in my family who is bursting with Christmas spirit but some things have happened this year and it doesn't even feel like Christmas to me yet. My mom and grandma always made cookies, lots of different kinds, but gingerbread was always a must.I just finished baking 5 different kinds of christmas cookies for my goodie trays that i hand out to family and friends each year. I have an electric kettle too, and love it! try reconstituting "burnt" chocolate by adding a teaspoon or so of shortening. I have not necessarily burned chocolate but over melted it so it seized up before. You can also try melting most chocolate by microwaving it on half the heat and at 30 second intervals. All the treats looked super yummy!!!

My mom always makes homemade sugar cookies in assorted Christmas shapes and then we decorate them as a family. Since I’ve had my daughter, we continue the tradition at her house every year. She makes a ton of yummy, fattening things you probably should only indulge in once a year! Oreo truffles are a favorite of mine to make. An easy way to dip them in chocolate is with a fork. The excess chocolate drips between the tines of the fork & you can use a toothpick to slide the truffle off the fork. Easy and hands stay clean!

    Hi Jessica,
That water boiler machine is a must have. I will definitely look into getting one of those!! 👍🏽👍🏽 There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking a breather. I've never done the double-boiler thing--for fear of messing up. Lol! Lord knows I've messed up on several occasions but once you pull away for a little while & go back, you just know it's going to be alright! 😊 Thanks for not editing that part of the film--it simply shows that we're only human--no such thing as 100% perfection. Also, the Oreo balls look yummy. I'll have to give that a try. 2 things that are a must around this time of the year--RED VELVET CAKE WITH WALNUTS ON TOP & FRUIT CAKE!! Thanks for sharing!! ☺️🎄

Sour cream sugar cookies -- we get together every year as a family and decorate them. Mom makes the cookies, my older brother and I make the frosting, and the whole lot of us bust out the sprinkles and creativity. Dad usually decorates one and eats it, then disappears to watch TV. 🤣 And Christmas Eve wouldn't be the same without chicken wings and shrimp cocktail for my dad's birthday. ❤️

Cut-out Christmas cookies. I do a batch of those now as an adult. I also like making Chex mix.

You definitely succeeded in giving the cozy vibe in this video! I should have made myself a hot cocoa so I could relax and watch you also make hot cocoa LOL. So glad I found you, you’re one my new favorites!

YUMMY! Our kids always want me to make peanut butter balls (think Reese's peanut butter cups), molasses cookies, and poppy seed bread. We all have those days where things just go wrong, I take it as a sign from above that it's time to stop and take a break. :) Your little snowman spoon rest and character spatula are so darn cute too!

My favorite thing this time of year is the Original Chex Party Mix, but, I add something special. I add dried cranberries and the M & M chocolate candies. It’s the best of everything, the sweet, the salty, and tartness of the cranberries and the crunch. I add a cup of both the cranberries and candies after the Chex Mix is completely cooled. Jessica, you love savory, you will love this Chex Mix! Bunkey will too, love you guys!

My favorite treats are rice krispy treats and crispy buckeyes. But every year we tend to make fudge, pumpkin sheet cake, veggie and fruit pizzas are some of my families favs.

We have a Strawberry Shortcake with boiled custard between the layers. (I know WEIRD!) We freeze the strawberries after picking them in May. We dye the custard green, add red food coloring to the scratch cake batter and top it with fresh whipped cream. Add a candle and sing happy birthday Dear Jesus! FAMILY TRADITIONS are AWESOME!! Stay Blessed and Inspiring! xo
