I absolutely can not thank you enough, Miyavi, for bringing music back into my life, the nourishment of the soul. I am a self taught bass player but lost motivation to play when I began to think my way of learning and teaching myself was having no impact and all I did was make meaningless wails of sound. Then, after a long hiatus from his works, a new love came to my life who mutually shared love of his music as a fan and it helped bond us. More than that, as I listened to Miyavi mature as a musician, I fell more and more in love with his talent to individuality, and I had what I was missing, INSPIRATION! I can't pick up my bass without playing with total confidence and prevent myself from getting lost doing it for hours. Even warming my fingers up, I'll play for a minimum of an hour and a half. Even without my bass in hand, the music is always bouncing around in my head, music once again walks hand in hand with me everywhere I go. I honestly don't believe I would have ever truly dedicated myself to my instrument if not for catching up on years of Miyavi's rhythmic and stylish ART, nor have trusted myself to wholly and completely dive back in with the pride to play and experiment without restriction, shame, or embarrassment over what would happen, nor doubt myself due to being unconventional in what is most comfortable for me.
