As a new subscriber & previous Owner of Harley’s i love watching your vids on the older bikes. This build is awesome and will be a stunner when completed Thanks for sharing 😎
"I love it when a plan comes together" Thank you Matt for sharing your knowledge. It is truly invaluable. And Bless your Father. I dream constantly about his Trike. Appreciate WTT.
Love this bike and think it's going to be the next giveaway bike. Love the color John did a hell of a job. Love the white parts on the engine, one of my favorite bikes of all time.
Man this is so awesome to watch I ride a 2023 Indian Chief bobber and some guy at the store today thought my bike was a classic because of the old style look but I told him no, check this 41 out, that’s a classic- man so beautiful
By the time you are done is going to look beautiful a unique piece of history 👍 you are a master builder very unique knowledge of the Harley Davidson Engines you knowledge is second to none 👍 😎
Thank you for an awesome video! I love this channel! Very therapeutic and can listen to it all day! Not too into HD though and more into the vintage British Motorcycles! Especially BSA Wish I could send you guys some parts to restore from my Grandfathers 1962 BSA A10 Super Rocket! Had started researching it from 2002, been searching and collecting parts for it since 2007 and have many original parts for it now 99% there. Unfortunately it started off as a basket case, only had the frame, engine and transmission. Had to put it on old for a few years, marriage, house, family etc but back on it and will eventually have it running again. My Wife thought I was crazy when we first met and wouldn’t shut up about the Motorcycle. Now she understands why
I've got a 41 knuck, too. But mines an EL. It's been a few years since its run, but it next on the lift after I finish my shovelhead. That bike is turning out beautiful. I've been down to WTT twice and can't wait to go again.
If I win your raffle 37 HD it'll be cruising 6 hours north on the coast road every school holiday to my little plot of wild paradise just out of Port Mac. Dream life for a teacher dreaming of a Harley Knucklehead. Great ep. Thanks guys.
Hi Matt, the HD is looking fantastic, as others have said, the person who wins this bike will be very lucky, good luck with the remainder of the build, best regards from Australia 👍👍👍👍
If I ever do a color change on my 2016 FLSTC this color is at the top of my list. Thank you for this great video. I’m really enjoying this one come together. It’s going to be gorgeous.
I was a vote for red and didn't want to hear anything else. I definitely admit, this bike is gorgeous! Of course, I've never seen a bike from you guys that I didn't love. Great work guys.
If you have time to answer I would appreciate it . Were chain sprockets made different back in the day ? Looking at the one on the tranny it looks like the teeth points were almost pointed verses what you see today where the ends of the teeth are more squared off or flat . Just something I noticed . Beautiful bike and excellent build which as per your high standards . Your Dad taught you well . I did get a chance to meet Him at the museum .
YO BIKER BRO MIDWEST EAST COAST WILD BILL NEW HAMPSHIRE HERE GREAT VIDEO LOVE YOUR DAD NOW DIGGING YOU THANSK FOR ALL THAT YOU DO FOR MOTORCYCLING INDUSTRY. LOL❤🎉🎉🎉
That’s so weird. I have one of those cylinders and looks like it’s new old stock. I always figured it is aftermarket because there’s no casting marks on it except on the side of the cylinder and now I can see the last number is a zero. So it must be a 40 thanks.
Excuse me sir but your dad was great friends with gene voyle williams, he is my grandfather and me and my grandmother Cheryl Williams and my father Charles Williams were wondering if we could come out from northern illinois to check it out
I hear you talking about taking the cylinders out to .040 then there done. Can’t you re-sleeve them? I’ve done this with car engines for years and I can’t see why you couldn’t do it with Harley cylinders since they are rare.
Wonder how old time engine designers designed complete engines and got pattern makers, molders, and machinists to get parts made and to fit and work properly as a whole.
So what did David get on Harley Davidson - looks like the bottom part and all the poop that goes with back taxes ( we just pemmican scrapple ways of doing it) at at not religious persecution it with the king David kosher meal deal tea tax
That little story about your first knuckle was awesome!!! Thanks for sharing that bit of your history
The history of these Harley's is amazing, Matt you are a wealth of knowledge!! Coming to the Museum next week for the 1st time, can't wait.
Gorgeous! Simply gorgeous! As Matt always says, "One of my Favorites!" This build is so special. Super Deluxe's are sooo sweet!

Hello! I have seen some variations between makers, but don’t think they’ve changed much based on the era. Thanks for watching the channel!
Awesome, more engine assembly videos please!
Memories. And they wanted to know why. Just because. Thank you.
Ain’t she Purdy - great stuff !!!-

Do you guys ever have the cylinders nikasil plated?

Looks blue
You make this look sooo easy ! Lol
Can I have it?
Pretty please.
That Green is the SHIZ NIT.
Why do they call that blue color "cruiser green"?
Howdy
I thought the plating in this era would be nickel and not chrome ?
I like to buy this bike but I got no money
It’s a pretty color. Not much of a difference between bike then till now
