This show was soooo bad. So many things established in the original series is thrown away just for this trash to exist. What makes things worse is that it makes the UN and the black knights into the most useless government body in anime. Without Lelouch, they can’t do nothing. I’m not even going to bring up Suzaku being zero and doing nothing while the people of Japan suffers. I guess Sunrise let the interns make this
Watching you watch this live hurt my brain but somehow watching the recap further makes me hurt my brain. Like there's still so many unanswered questions, the final battle was great but it also sparked some more unanswered questions, Ash with his death was very powerful but at the same time it could have easily been avoided and the entire ending is just a rushed mess. Seriously this whole rushing an ending out the door seems to be a big standard for most Mecha anime nowadays and the fact that all of the old cast and extended cast were really just here for cameos brings this show down hard. But hey at least Sakura got a new haircut and we survived this trainwreck so it was a victory all around. Great job with these videos!
1. Why didn't Sakuya make the Gease temporary by adding a line like "Until Norlan is defeated" 2. Why didn't Ash just crawl into Sakuya's Knightmare or just disconnect and drop Norlan or fly down fast it got up there in no time they could have made it. 3. What where they thinking with this series?
So how do the usual people who hate fanservice in other anime, hypocritically defend Kallen being a fanservice character with her additional bigger boobs? Oh she fights? So does Erza Scarlet. Big whoop.
So it’s ends with Sakuya muting herself, Ash dying the same way Gambit died in X-Men 97, but lame, Sakuya becomes empress of Neo Britannia even thought the empire should have been a republic, a government or a collection of city states and Lelouch, C2 and all of the other returning cameos didn’t have one final scene before ending. And it was all in season 1.
Code Geass: Rosé Of The Recapture is without a doubt the worst Anime Series of 2024 for me and one of the worst shows I've seen. Complete waste of time that now became a shit stain on the Code Geass Franchise. I don't understand how anyone can enjoy this, especially if you are a Code Geass Fan.
She's not speaking in sign languange. She's speaking with subtitles that's why they(and we) understand her; like Johnny Bravo speaking french subtitles.

Why Geass herself to not speak, she can technically control the Geass at this point still and she doesn't know about Geass Runoff. She barely knows anything about her Geass as she didn't even know if it would work on Ash. Which they just make us assume her Geass has the same limits as Lelouch's. I honestly wish they would focus more on building the world lore for Geass, which they have the perfect opportunity since L.L. is new to the Geass world and with C.C. as an ancient one. As they explore for Geass fragements can learn more of the Geass. Alongside that going what they could do is follow a team of characters. Like Zero, Lolyd and Ceicle, maybe one or two new characters, that support Zero as they travel the war torn countries they mentioned back in Ressurection. That or do an anime adaption of Oz the Reflection to develop the characters shown in Roze of the Recapture. Be interesting to see where they take this franchise
having just finished watching the finale myself, this was the first thing I came to watch. it does make me wonder one thing. if this season was given the time to get 50 episodes as well, would it have been a waste of time, or made us care and enjoy a continuation of the franchise? I want to think it was just rushed and that's why everything is "who the eff cares", but it could also just be that the people writing this didn't have the same passion as the original team to make such a dedicated story.
So I just decided to look up the legal drinking age in Japan. Admittedly not thorough but it seems to be you must be 20 to drink in Japan. Just something I wondered as I was questioning this scenes translations. Context is everything.

I cannot ignore the fact that the story could have been so much better then what we have been given, I STILL has this off feeling about the clone twist and roomba stuff, as well as the damocles and fleija. As for my thoughts on episode 12, ending should have been different entirely, Ash should have live, Sakura kicking ass as the Empress/Leader of the SAR area, and both Ash and Sakuya have pleasant life ahead of them, to me at least would been a refreshing to be (if I am remember this correctly) first to not have a main character death.😭

Roze of the Recapture was a bit similar to Cross Ange, and the ending is more like Magic Knight Rayearth season 1 ending (where SPOILERS, the villain guy is actually the princess' love interest, the true villain is the princess herself!!! And the ending was a downer...the villain guy and the princess died by the three mahou shojo protagonists) Roze of the Recapture is the saddest, but bittersweet ending I ever encountered, and I gonna cry on episode 12! We have the exact same reaction to the ending but now that i have rewatched i disagree and the main reason is because when we watched the OG Code Geass the story was already cooked analysed overanalysed even so it was easier to digest.Roze is even more subtle and needs chefs to digest the story so in the future its viewed in a positive way.When i finished watching it i gave it a 7, to me it felt short but then i realised that its actually not 12 episodes but 24 because the rewatch rewired my brain. For example you wont notice that Norland's role is meant to be an antithesis to R2 Lelouch Lelouch is the Black Knight in chess the one that wants to unite humanity against him and attain world peace Norland is the White King the one that has ''no attachments'' that wants to divide everyone and end humanity Norland's only bond was a twisted obssession/love with Ash Phoenix (relatable fr) because he raised him as his weapon and used him to kill those he needed gone and thats why everytime Ash gets mentioned in front of him he shows interest and thats why in his final moments he's able to smile because for the first time as a father he's proud of the weapon he created(sick fuck i know)I could make a whole essay after rewatching Roze with stuff like this about its characters People can "muh rational story!" this and "muh logic!" that, and in a lot of ways Rozé has the same flaws as Code Geass But the deeper you go, the more you analyse it, the more you fall in love with it atleast that happened to me and i hope it happens to everyone else too because its more fun to love a story I respect your opinion because this video is exactly how i felt the moment i finished it, i even had Re;surrection of goro taniguchi's bank account ranked above this but the more i analyse and digest the more i realise that i love this story even with its flaws and thats because the strongest part of code geass to me was always the character dynamics like Kururugi Suzaku Lelouch and now Ash Phoenix Sakuya Sumeragi.The actual weakest part of roze that i didnt like was the death roombas and the obvious fan service by showing old characters even though they're doing nothing.OP is a banger OST is great i love the connection of Ash's Knightmare Zi-Apollo and Sakuya's Zi-Artemis because they are twins representing the sun and the moon and thats why they can combine and the double meaning here is that the sun and moon hints to a doomed romance because they can never meet,Also love the ED song called ''Roze'' because its sakuya in the future remembering ash because she'll never get over his death, for the OST and animation i dont need to speak its sunrise studios i hope my yap session managed to show that even a flawed story like this can still be enjoyed the more you analyse and think about it my final score was 8.7/10 after rewatching 2 times and it can go higher.Again even though we disagree thank you for this video!
