I believe Zeev will spend next year in Colorado for his final NCAA season and then sign his contract to start the next season on his NHL Rookie season.
There were 2 scouting reports that had him 3rd and 4th and another at 7th. This kid is highly intelligent, has superstar skills. With Zeev and the Faber Tooth Tiger...man! Lock em' down, blow em' up!

Judd is working his magic, this could be his second best trade ever!!!
Both times it was for (likely) a mid-late 3rd round pick. EDM passed on the top goalie, moved back and still picked the wrong guy when they passed on Wyatt Johnston.

Definitely not mad abt this pick arguably 2nd best defenseman in this draft I’ve seen some say the best. I was hoping for Inginla or Eiserman but a Faber Brodin and Buium core will be crazy.
So jacked for this pick! Probably the most excited I have ever been for a Wild draft pick. Rossi or Wallstedt are the only ones close.

Buium at 12 will be looked at as one of the drafts biggest steals in a few years, this kid is just special... He'll captain the USA WJC team and try to repeat as NCAA National Champions, then he'll sign his ELC and join the Wild in April (with Yurov) No chance Buium stays his 3rd year at Denver, all he needs to do is get stronger this season, nothing else to prove in College...
The big question now is, what do they do with Middleton and his supposed 4 x $4 extension waiting for July 1st to sign?
NHL needs to loosen up, get their GMs opportunity to speak to fans as they announce pick, then give some love to their draft picks NFL NBA style 😊

@@travzimmerman1340 I’m pumped for this pick because I know he is an actual “do it all” type player. But then they talk about how he needs work on his defensive game. It’s wild. Like are we watching the same player here?
I saw this somewhere that stuck out to me. He defends like a Gustav Forsling. Great at cutting down angles and stick work. He isn’t afraid to make plays through contact either. His defensive game is already pretty good. Not to mention his spectacular Offensive game. I think we got the steal of the draft personally.
I could be a bit biased because I am a Denver fan though.

Colorado got the best player in the draft when they drafted Nabokov in the 2nd round.
Its a no brainer to pick best available for what your team needs..Still think he needs a Stramel resurrection to get a resemblance of "brilliance " Running scared as far as I can see..Trade a pick to move up one spot with Eiserman still on the board...?????

If Laine is cheap and healed physically and mentally it could be a huge pick up
He adds nothing to the Wild. Wild don't need another left hand shot. Wild don't need another guy who doesn't take the body. Wild don't need another small(ish) defenseman. Not happy about the pick at all.
I have been hearing and reading year after year how the Wild have the best prospect pool. But where are they? Why is it year after year we still have no studs other than Kaprizov? I call major cap on this notion we have all these elite prospects waiting in the wings. Now, the only one i do believe is that is Zeev. But even Jesper has not done anything.

@@tegridy27 Boldy is already playing. Been playing for multiple seasons. Rossi is trash. That is why they were looking to trade him. Those other guys are all just names brought up that have done anything in the league. Lol.

Yes, and had Danny Briere known any better, he woulda upped his return to at least a 2nd rounder.....consider the Flyers fleeced.
The 3rd rounder from next year's draft shouldn't be expected to play til the 2028 season, and even then, odds are far worse than a coin flip that he'll even make the team at all.

Slightly better than a coin flip. His RECENT stats unimpressive and over those 4 seasons he’s averaged a -14. I hope he can turn it around dude but one 40 goal season 8 years ago is unlikely to happen again. I don’t wanna give up any young prospects for this guy at any price.
