Hey bro thanks a lot for your comment, really appreciate feedback like this! Def a lot of time etc in editing but I'm enjoying the process! Cheers mate 🤙
Can’t get enough of your videos Mate! Absolutely love what you're doing and so Inspirational, I’ve just started my own Spearfishing/fishing channel based on The Great Barrier Reef.
Keep up the mean work Ollie! I'm tellin ya this channel is gonna blow up one day at the rate you're making these sick vids with this level of production quality!
Another great video. Love your work. It's simply stunning around the Coromandels, particularly Flaxmill Bay. We spent a couple of weeks there earlier this year. Got a couple of good drone shots too :-)
It is very enjoyable to watch you and to watch the things you share with us about the places you visit and your shooting. I hope to dive with an energetic person like you one day.
Outstanding video dude, the dive, camera work and editing altogether is a work of art. I sure hope to get back into the water soon. Your helping me to get the priorities in order...looking forward to the next video
Them red Moki are definitely on team Ollie. Only discovered you a month or so ago. And been binge watching since. Man do they lead you to some crayfish. They look like what we call a banded morwong.
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit Castle Point is pretty good though, its the breeding ground of where NZ crayfish migrate too before going back North (or South).. so it isn't uncommon to find them at waist level water in rock pools during summer
Hey Ollie, love your movies, good balance of action and commentary and the music has a lovely vibe too! I've just moved to Aus from the UK and can't wait to get into the water but need to sort some transport (car) and then maybe consider a Kayak! Need to get to know the sites/whats good eating too!
Ollie Craig - Reef Hunter I’m in North Sydney....need a car to get to the coast but got most of my kit from the uk. They talk about kingfish here but everything seems so big! 😂
Awesome footage and naration...classic Ollie Craig quality video presentation. I'm very envious of your aquatic environment 🐠🤗🐬. Didn't comment on the last couple of videos, but thoroughly enjoyed watching you do your thing 🤙🌞. I was surprised with all that choice for diving locations that it can be so barren at times. Does the area come under a lot of fishing pressure Ollie? Looking forward to seeing you in the warmer water. Cheers. Trev
Hey Trevor! Appreciate it mate. Yes, Compared to a few decades ago fishing pressure has made some big damage to the environment especially where there were once plenty of Snapper, and the big once eating the Kina now not there, has left the Kina to spread and multiply. The kina eat the kelp which starts to create barrens. Sad. I'm also very exited for the Months ahead! Can't wait to get onto the Kingfish!
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit thanks for sharing your info Ollie. Also, I was not aware that red moki only partnered up once in their lifecycle. Does that include the Blue moki as well? I guess if you can't get in the water, you'll be doing land based training like breath-holds while walking between lampposts (eg: 1 B'H between a pair of lampposts, then rest for 4 lampposts....then repeat the process). That's a rough guide. There's other options as well. What is your average B'H on your dives? How do you train/what are your training preferences? Cheers. Trev
I really enjoy watching your video been doing so all day now its good that advice divers on what to do in certain situations and also let them know about proper tide conditions and techniques when diver in deep or shallow waters names Rojay as i said before love your work.
Interesting and such great technique stunning video makes me wanna go try my own hand at it and do it this way. The vibes, wakes my instinct I wanna go, setup a playlist with Metallica and Delta Parole and go off into my own world soon.
Hey Maurice, in that vid was out on my mates little kiwi kraft I think it was. Unsure of size. Around 4m? Yep enough room for 3 people as long as not huge distances I guess.
Hey there Ollie, my old stomping grounds The Coromandel, A good mate and I fished there earlier this year before The Corona Virus set in, I was lucky to get back to Aussie before the travel bans occurred. Hang loose bud.
the whole of the gulf is barren now i remember when you could catch atleast 4+ kings a day now hardly can get 1, crays are the same you have to go so far for them now used to be able to get them in a foot of water not anymore have to dive deep for them now, area is over targeted
Immigrants (specifically from Asia) could care less about New Zealand’s toothless environmental laws. They just laugh at our laid back overly friendly personalities which assist in facilitating their wanton destruction of our coasts. Same thing is happening on our international boarders and all through out the Pacific. Need a privately funded NAVY to enforce things.
Hey mate, thanks. Im using a 100cm roller and a 120cm gun in this vid. 120 is a perfect all rounder unless you're down south or welly? Might be slightly long. Where are you based?

Hey Tim, Thanks mate. We are in 'Level 2' currently, I don't know what it exactly means as I don't have a TV and if I did I wouldn't turn it on. Basically, We are allowed to go fishing etc. I really feel for you guys in Victoria, I have family and friends in Melbourne, sitting under house arrest with no scientific justification. Hopefully that changes for Victoria soon and we don't enter into the same laws..Cheers Tim, Ollie.
Ollie Craig - Reef Hunter yeah, these Premiers here have so much unfettered power it’s unbelievable. The Vic Premier is so slimy as well that he’ll most likely get out of this after putting us in the situation. He should be taken out to sea and made to walk the plank. Good idea about the TV, nothing good on there anyway. I am just waiting on the opportunity now to get in the water. New wetsuit ready, gear ready, bring it on.
Have used them on the odd occasion. Generally in summer you don't need them as there Re so many kingfish around. Probably would have been a good time to use one when I was filming this mission in spring!
