Gustavo definitely went back to both soundtracks and put his own spin on it, because I definitely can hear the Viklund inspiration oozing from this track more than most of his other work for PD2
Stealth vs loud is less binary now. If you want to go loud during a heist while still being stealthy, you can start out in stealth to get a head start before you go popping helmets 😉
@@donovanjoseph737 I'm so glad that's a more viable strategy. I think plain stealth is way less fun than loud, but I really enjoy pseudo-stealthing my way through heists like Big Bank, maintaining stealth for as long as possible but intending on going loud eventually.

They definitely made the right choice with having Gus do the music for this game, as this has shown that he is the one who can get closest to our lord Viklund. Can’t wait to hear more of his awesome tunes!
Honestly, part of this song remind me of trailblazers from payday 2 and im a little disappointed that the trailer music wasn't the heist music for this one, but nonetheless it's still good
I was really worried that without simon the music would start to feel less like payday like some of the later heist tracks in payday 2 but this has that grimey, low down and dirty sound with the hybrid acoustic and electronic sound that makes the franchise's music stand out so much. Great shit Gustavo, can't wait to hear the rest of the tracks and the future heist songs.
So far one of the best songs, from the build up to the action and downtime parts everything is awesome. The bass is the true mvp, and I do love my funky bass.

Payday music has allways been one of huge aspect of what i love this game about. Goes amazingly well with pd world. All this different ''phases'' how it builds up eventually from sneak to fk up situation yet something so epic moments with friends. Cant wait to spend another almost 3k hours with this one too!
Also: the "tactical" version usually sounds durning final charge. While you just wanna to run around and scream at cops, the music tells you: "Stay focused! You can fail right now!"

Simon Viklud music made Payday 2 epic. And now that I could play the beta I loved what appears to be a new era in Payday 3. I really liked this Gustavo's Coutinho soundtrack, I think this is gonna be a great game and soundtrack too!

I think the soundtrack feels way more "organic" than Viklunds music. Way more transitions. The music refreshes itself all the time. Just great.
