I've always said that Undertaker vs. Jeff Hardy was JR's best match he ever called, in terms of how he called it. Some of the most beautiful storytelling through commentary I've ever heard.
Watched it on tv when it happen and it was great to watch taker put jeff over. Being a ladder match you felt the rush that jeff could win but undertaker winning was awesome.
My favourite part about that match is something small, but there’s a point where Jeff is just throwing punches. He throws them with such passion, such fire, such determination that the crowd audibly come up, and i felt the excitement and support for him. Just from punches, but knowing how to get the crowd behind you. Today’s wrestlers could really learn from it
Hardy vs Taker ladder match is one of my favorite matches of all time purely because of the storytelling. JR's commentary solidified this match as something truly great.
John cena vs CM punk John cena vs Cesaro John cena vs Seth Rollins John cena vs Shawn micheals John cena vs sami zayn CM punk vs undertaker Seth Rollins vs Finn vs miz Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins vs Big Cass vs Roman reigns Brock Lesnar vs Chris benoit Brock Lesnar vs Kurt angle Team Rollins vs Team reigns 5-on-5 elimination match all are among some great TV matches :)
seth Rollins remember in the summer of 2015 when rollins broke cena's nose and came out that I can also do an open challenge come out anyone who's less than 200 pounds and 6 feet. Expecting Torito. And Neville came out. That match was fucking bonkers! and it wasn't even the main event of Raw that night. shame
Couldn't agree more. I was waiting for that one to pop up. It was one of the matches that initially got me interested in wrestling. That match went 30 minutes back when Raw was only one hour long. It was fabulous. So much drama and so many near falls. You seriously thought 1-2-3 Kid might actually defeat Bret for the title. Now I have to go back and watch it again. :)
I was hoping I'd see one of my all-time favorite matches mentioned: Owen VS. Bulldog from RAW, March 1997, to determine the first European Champion. Great match that I've always wished they would have waited another 3 weeks and featured at Mania 13. It definitely deserves to be recognized more.
Michael Woah, woah, woah. Hold the phone. Are you going based on the fact that he doesn't like Jinder as WWE Champion? If so, that is purely his opinion, considering he never said that he didn't like it based purely on the fact that he is Indian. (Yes, he is Canadian, but he is of Indian heritage)
I would have mentioned Rock vs Mankind on Raw Jan 4th 99. Even though it is not a wrestling clinic, I have watched it more times than any 5 star match. It's pure bliss.
Yes. Thank you. Shelton Benjamin is one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time. Pairing him with HBK was pardon the pun sweet chin music. Great stuff.
*Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn 1* *Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn 2* *Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn 3* *Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn 4* *Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn 5* ... .. .
My satellite bill tells me that USA Network is not "free TV". I understand that it's not a PPV, but I am paying for every channel on my TV. The truly free TV was when Smackdown was on "UPN", which I'm pretty sure Lesnar-Angle was.
It would be hard to narrow it down to just 10 because you have to leave off other gems. RVD vs. Eddie in the ladder match on Raw Benoit vs. Triple H ironman match on Raw Benoit vs. Austin on Smackdown Also have to include Shelton vs. HBK from Raw. So many good ones out there. May have to do a top 20
I just can't believe Flair and Perfect from one of the very 1st Raw's didn't make this. Could exclude others, but that was one of the earliest TV match classics....
It's sad it's not on here. Flair vs Perfect, with Flair's career on the line. I re-watched it before commenting just to make sure I wasn't remembering it better than it was. Turns out I remembered it less great than it was as I couldn't fully appreciate Bobby Hennan on commentary to go with the drama.
Jeff Hardy vs The Undertaker has got to be on the top 10 greatest ladder matches of all time, I remember watching that and jumping around like crazy hoping Jeff would grab the belt. Thats story telling at its finest.
The Rock, Mick Foley, Too Cool and Rikishi vs HHH, X-Pac, Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko (2/7/2000). If you haven't seen it, it's worth the watch! Great match!!
I love that someone else remembers the action zone tag title match. It was amazing and maybe the best tag match ever at the time it happened. But come on, nothing beats that Cena/HBK match after 23!
seth Rollins OK I get it but it was great story telling and the crowd was into it and a lot of false finishes so thats y I said that but thanks for pointing it out to me
Good I'm glad the Ironman match between Angle and Lesnar was #1, I remember watching that as a kid and those last few seconds of the match with Kurt having Brock in the Ankle Lock had me biting my finger nails wondering whether or not Lesnar was gonna tap. Absolutely amazing!
I was at that Austin/HHH vs Y2J/Benoit match back when I was 12 or so for my birthday. I always remembered it as the match that HHH got hurt but now I'm happy I'm able to rewatch it and see just how damn good it really was
I have to say, lists like this remind me of why shawn michaels has always been one of the first names to pop on my lips when I name the best wrestlers. That man had true talent. He was godly on the mic, godly in the ring, and could make anyone or anything look good.
I watched it back last night after this video and I could see that......although you gotta say this much, Bobby Heenan was GOLD on the mic for it. I laughed so hard at how over the top he was for Flair at points in the match, ala the 92 Rumble. He made it as much as anything.
I have to throw in a couple from 1994 that I thought were two of the best matches I've ever seen on Raw. Bret Hart defending the WWF title against 123 Kid in July, and Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon in August just before SummerSlam.
Thank you Adam for making Brock lesner vs Kurt Angle Iron Man Match match No1 on the list its one of my all time favorite match and no one else mentioned about it thanks a lot
arguably my favorite WWE televised match was on RAW with Shawn Michaels vs Shelton Benjamin. Shawn Michaels had cemented his place as one of the best ever, and Shelton Benjamin was a definite up-and-comer. This match let you believe either of them could have got the win, and it was Shawn Michaels hitting Sweet Chin Music on Shelton Benjamin IN MID-AIR that got Michaels the win. I had taped that episode of RAW and literally rewound and rewatched that ending a dozen times. It was a fantastic match that could have easily been on and even headlined a PPV, and they did it for free. It has been one of my favorite matches ever since.
I always think of that one too😂, it was the perfect mix of a up and comer and a veteran and he could do and hold his own between the ropes, that's the match that should've launched Benjamin to the top
I knew what the number one spot was going to be as soon as I clicked the video and I don't even care. I remember watching that match when it first aired and knew how unbelievably awesome it was. I had decided last minute that I wanted to stay home instead of going to a Linkin Park concert with my mom, brother, and sister when I was a kid and my older brother stayed as well that way I could and we both just god damn loved Angle vs Lesnar that night. It was phenomenal and I don't regret my decision whatsoever.
If you can find it, look up Ziggler vs. Del Rio from Main Event in February 2013. I just had it on while I was making dinner and by the end I forgot I was making dinner (glad I wasn't using the oven). The match is a completely out-of-nowhere battle for the ages. Gets ridiculously tense with several near falls and some fantastic counter spots. The only bad thing is the commercial breaks ruin the pacing of it but it's so good. It's a shame none of their other encounters could match this.
Also for your consideration: -The Rock vs. Mankind (Raw) -Bret Hart vs. The 1-2-3 Kid (Raw) -Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero (Smackdown) -Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro (Raw) -Rey Mysterio vs. John Morrison (Smackdown) -Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels (Raw)
Michaels vs Shelton Benjamin on Raw. That sweet chin music at the end!
I wass waiting for that too
yes, also HBK vs Kurt Angle 30min iron man
HBK is the ruler or Raw
Yesss
That's a moment or spot.
And he did it all alone
A slobber knocker
My favourite part about that match is something small, but there’s a point where Jeff is just throwing punches. He throws them with such passion, such fire, such determination that the crowd audibly come up, and i felt the excitement and support for him. Just from punches, but knowing how to get the crowd behind you. Today’s wrestlers could really learn from it
Go on make yourself FAMOUS kid!!
Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar 60 minute iron man match was the greatest free TV match.
Back when Brock did more than German suplexs.
Moss Head Zoro Agreed
Moss Head Zoro lesnar can still outwrestle most of the roster even with his 2 moves of doom
So you say Lesnar only does germans now..but did you see Punk vs Lesnar.
Tommy Mandi that was 4 years ago
What about Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero in a No Holds Barred match on Smackdown?
Firee
What’s funny is that WWE actually considers that match to be better than the Smackdown Iron Man Match between Angle and Lesnar.
I know I’m late but what is the date of the match I want to check it out
@@pyrowater0186 September 26, 2002.
HBK can have a great match with a broomstick :)
HBK Fan like Kenny Omega and the sex doll
Matthew Evans expect not
Did he ever have a match with Nathan Jones or The Great Khali? I think that would qualify.
HBK can fight the air and put on a top 10 match
HBKTheGoat Yeah remember his match against the air at Summerslam 05? HBK bumped like crazy for that air
I'm so happy that cena vs punk got the credit it deserved, the most underrated match of cenas career and of the last few years
Adam is doing this list ok Lesnar vs Angle is no.1
Hardy vs Taker ladder match is one of my favorite matches of all time purely because of the storytelling. JR's commentary solidified this match as something truly great.
This just shows what a great entertainer Shawn Michael's is
Where's El Torito vs Hornswoggle?
Payback 2014, hair vs mask. Amazing 😉

seth Rollins Seth vs Neville in 2015 was good as well.
and they say Cena killed wrestling...
seth Rollins Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor vs The Miz was a great Raw match a few weeks ago
seth Rollins
remember in the summer of 2015 when rollins broke cena's nose and came out that I can also do an open challenge come out anyone who's less than 200 pounds and 6 feet. Expecting Torito. And Neville came out.
That match was fucking bonkers! and it wasn't even the main event of Raw that night. shame
KO winning universal title on Raw is also a good one!
Shawn Michaels vs Shelton Benjamin on Raw was an absolute classic.
Never could they have that match again
That ending call. "OH MY GOD IN HEAVEN, IT IS ACADEMIC"
Michaels vs. Benjamin Gold Rush match from Raw in 05 was absolutely amazing
HBK vs Edge Street fight main event Raw 2005 is a good match.
No one remembers the I Quit match on Smackdown between Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero. That match was a classic, to me...
How bout Bret Hart VS 123 Kid on RAW 94? that match was awesome
Teuku Maulana Ansari yeah man great match

I was happy to see CM Punk/Cena from around WM29 on here. That was such a great match and I've watched it several times.
What about that TLC match on Raw 2002 between Jeff Hardy and RVD vs. Chris Jericho and Christian vs. Kane vs. Bubba and Spike Dudley??
DJ Trankilo that one was thrilling
"Sometimes losing gets you over more than winning" make that that into a video!
Hearing Plumpy's voice at the start of wc video > sex

Pedro Mata good point from an emotional stand point it's a classic. People wanted Mankind to win and the reaction when he did was amazing.
Pedro Mata That'll put asses in seats
Technically, it's wrestling history so yeah
honourable mention rollins vs neville
Shawn Michaels vs Shelton Benjamin
Yes. Thank you. Shelton Benjamin is one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time. Pairing him with HBK was pardon the pun sweet chin music. Great stuff.
I was there live for the Punk/Cena match on RAW. Everyone was losing their minds. Great match
HBK is the GOAT
Lunatic Architect Everyone can agree on that.
Undertaker is.
Bullet 285 Undertaker is the greatest character of all time, Shawn Michaels is the greatest in ring performer of all time.
AJ Styles is slightly better than HBK in the ring.

The best RAW match I ever saw: That Street Fight between Matt Hardy and Edge in '05. Criminally underrated.
My satellite bill tells me that USA Network is not "free TV". I understand that it's not a PPV, but I am paying for every channel on my TV. The truly free TV was when Smackdown was on "UPN", which I'm pretty sure Lesnar-Angle was.
Shawn Michael's Vs John Cena was such a great match! !!

Hard to argue those last two matches. Spectacular.

You guys definitely need to make another 10 Best WWE TV matches of all time. Too many to name off.
I usually dont disagree but not having 123 Kid vs. Bret Hart from WWF Raw in 1994 is absolutely crazy!
Damn! I'm glad you're back!
Owen Hart vs British Bulldog for the European Championship on RAW in March 1997
I was really good but super technical so it might not be everyone's cup of Tea.
sidewayze
Greatest match in RAW history
Joejoe Brian amazing match
I need to rewatch all of these
what about the rock vs mankind for the WWF championship anybody disagree🤔
nasbitw 16 that was a memorable match because mankind won the championship but that wasn't an in-ring classic at all
seth Rollins OK I get it but it was great story telling and the crowd was into it and a lot of false finishes so thats y I said that but thanks for pointing it out to me
The explosion of the crowd when stone cold enters is enough to make it on this I reckon. And the significance of it during the wars adds up aswell
beau jacobs that might be the loudest stone cold pop I've ever heard
The ladder match they had on raw was better
Good I'm glad the Ironman match between Angle and Lesnar was #1, I remember watching that as a kid and those last few seconds of the match with Kurt having Brock in the Ankle Lock had me biting my finger nails wondering whether or not Lesnar was gonna tap. Absolutely amazing!
The moment I saw the title the first one that came to my mind was #9
I was at that Austin/HHH vs Y2J/Benoit match back when I was 12 or so for my birthday. I always remembered it as the match that HHH got hurt but now I'm happy I'm able to rewatch it and see just how damn good it really was
Proof Cena, Jericho, Benoit and Lesnar can put on great matches

Pears great match dude
Lucas Viana yup I agree
Pears another great match i love is benoit vs stone cold smackdown
Lucas Viana oh yea same dude that was another great match. I love that one too
Pears was a classic man and the crowd was nuts
One that I think is really underrated was John Morrison vs the Miz in a falls count anywhere match for the WWE championship
Notice how a bunch of these matches are from the ruthless aggression era and not the overrated attitude era
The ruthless aggression era, specifically 2002 and 2003, definitely had a great talent roster, probably why a lot of these are from that era
No one rates the Attitude era as great in terms of in ring matches. It was great for other reasons.
Better than you Attitude era was overall more entertaining, Ruthless aggression era had better matches.
That's what we're here for
Three words. Flair and Perfect. How does that not make this list?
I might get so much hate for this, but i didn't like that match that much tbh. Too 80ish for me and overrated
I watched it back last night after this video and I could see that......although you gotta say this much, Bobby Heenan was GOLD on the mic for it. I laughed so hard at how over the top he was for Flair at points in the match, ala the 92 Rumble. He made it as much as anything.
It's PLUMPY!!!!!!!!
This is one of the hypest lists WhatCulture has put out. You listen to this and, holy shit, you wanna see some wrestling.
Triple H vs Shelton Benjamin on Raw.
I have to throw in a couple from 1994 that I thought were two of the best matches I've ever seen on Raw. Bret Hart defending the WWF title against 123 Kid in July, and Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon in August just before SummerSlam.
Do a wcw version of this :)
I'm a simple man. I hear Plumpy's voice I hit the like button
Bret vs 123 kid on Raw?
I'm just happy that someone else remembers Taker and Jeff's match.
PLUMPY IS BACK
Thank you Adam for making Brock lesner vs Kurt Angle Iron Man Match match No1 on the list its one of my all time favorite match and no one else mentioned about it thanks a lot
Um where is Shawn Michaels Vs Undertaker
It was a ppv match, he's on about televised matches on raw and smack down for example
Damn HBK vs Cena on Raw was better than their match at WM 23 for the Title
Who In The blue hell is Plumpy?
Bring back Adam.

One of my all time favorites must be The Hardy Boyz & Brothers of Destruction Vs. Edge & Christian and The Power Trip (Stone Cold & Triple H)

one of my favorites on Raw was the 8 man or 7 man TLC tag match that Kane won.

That TLC match on SmackDown had me and my friends talking about it the whole weekend.
