Thanks. Very informative and enjoyable. Happy knitting from Scotland. I’m churning out baby knits for several friends. Keen to get back on Christmas knits or a change of project. 😊
Enjoyable ideas presented for gift making. I am going to make ornaments for gifts. It is with An Advent 12 Days of Chiclets. I am presently knitting on a Sea Glass Cardigan. I have finished socks in plan vanilla and mermaid. So far having a great deal more on my needles and hooks. Kitchen towel holders toppers, hot pads and muckluck slippers. Swatching for a brioche Bataklava.
Hi from California. I’m knitting the Cocoon Choki out of reclaimed yarn from a thrifted knit dress. I resist gift knitting, but these types of episodes seduce me into knitting a couple of small projects.
Such a great list. I’m going to cast on the Cabin Slippers after watching so Brioche refresh tutorials. I’m workin on Nancy Wheeler’s Freddy Beach socks. They are fun and have a very memorizable repeat.
Thanks for the list of gift Knits, I'm adding them all to my Ravelry queue. 😊 Also your podcast was fun to watch! Nice to meet you, from South Alabama ❤
Just came across your podcast. Thanks for the pattern suggestions. I think I will try some of those mitts with the flap and the brioche slippers. I am madly knitting hats (Hum, Minster Cables, A Twisted Affair and Hipster), mitts (Lift me up mitts, Everything November and Hudson Ripple), socks for my eldest grandson and his fiancé (coordinating at their request)and a pair for my daughter, and a small shawl Pluma Morada by Joji in the softest alpaca yarn ever. For me, I am knitting Instant Crush by Joji- my first time making a sweater in only mohair (from Frankie Grey Fibres)-such a splurge, beautiful colourwork and I fear I am running out of yarn -argh-so I can relate to your yarn dilemma with your cardigan.
Hello from Swansea, Illinois. ❤❤❤❤ I am knitting socks, you can put puff paint on the bottom of the slippers to keep them from slipping on hardwood floors.
Nothing new on my needles but I want to thank you for this episode, well done! I am excited about the Underwing Mitts, my daughter love moths so much she has two colorful tattoos of them as well as a tattoo of moon phases so perfect!. I do not have the skills for that colorwork yet, have not done any actually so I am looking for a beginner pattern - maybe a hat or easier mitts to start with. Be well!
Someone else in the comments said that they just finished the Underwing Mitts and it was their first colorwork project! Maybe if you are motivated by the design you could pull it off!
I'm currently binding off my first underwing mitts. It's actually my very first colorwork project lol I think the pattern is so well written its achievable for an ambitious beginners especially if you watch a few videos on color work tips before starting which is what I did.
I wear DK hand knit socks all winter here. My feet get really cold, then all of me is frozen. Warm socks help lots. I just can’t fathom living somewhere where the winters are really cold!
Hi - thanks for the pattern recommendations- I’m knitting the Flying Solo cowl from Espace Tricot- it’s a free pattern and I’m using Sirdar Snuggly and Sirdar Country Classic leftovers held double- it’s working up really well and makes for a different neck warming solution!! I do believe you could use a DK or Aran weight as I don’t think it’s really important to get gauge spot on ❤

That is so cool that you were able to reuse some yarn from a thrifted dress!

Thanks for the tip about puff paint! I’ll have to try that!

I live in southeast Ireland and am going to make a pair of socks…

Oh wow awesome, thanks for the real world input on how that pattern is to knit up! And great job doing your first colorwork pattern!!

Sounds great!
Great suggestions! What sweater are you wearing in the video? I looked in your Ravelry page and didn’t see it.
Ahh sadly it is store bought. It’s from Madewell and probably 10+ years old. But I always tell people I COULD make it if I wanted to 🤪
