- Everything That Rises, a Stop Motion - Animated - Time Lapse Journey Over Canada's Great Divide. A landscape forever changing by the slight of hand of man. In the next 85 years humanity will witness how the use of hydrocarbons for energy will cause a region to lose it's native habitat in a time period where glacial progression should be occurring.

Thank you everyone for enjoying Moby’s tune “everything that rises”, I made this film from many photographs picked to flow with the beat and rhythmic story telling. The editing approach is to be as if a novice traveller was capturing these images for the first time. There is literally thousands of photos to create this video that is 100% printable.

I grew up in proximity to the Canadian Rockies. I visited the Columbia Ice Fields as a child in 1963 and then again 40 years later. I was shocked at how much the ice had receded in the intervening years. For 10,000 years, the general trend has been warming. Human beings are also part of the ecosystem. Our activity is, from a geological perspective, a blip on the radar of time. Our hydrocarbon emissions, seemingly important now, will be seen, thousands of years from now, as a tiny undulation on the graph of the earth's climate changes.
