I feel like this fixed the song for me! 😂 I've always liked the lead vocals and the melody on "Flowers" but never liked the bass sound or the weirdly loud backing vocals. The 80s Cassio keyboard corrects it all to my ears!
Miley Cyrus became my mother's favourite pop star when she came into the spotlight in the early 1980s! She was so talented she became a pop icon mentioned in the same breath as Madonna or Michael Jackson. The 80s were the golden age of pop music and Miley conquered the hearts of her fans with iconic songs and a style that epitomized the era: Her colorful hair, bohemian outfits, and striking makeup became her trademark. I really love her greatest hits: '(I Can Buy Myself) Flowers' from 1985 and '(I Came In Like A) Wrecking Ball (I Never Hit So Hard In Love)' from 1984.
I remember she was the queen of the disco clubs in the 70s when she had the stage name “Hannah Montana”. Then in 1983 she entered into the world of pop and completely conquered it
Spot on, my friend. Seamlessly transformed into an "80's no.1 hit". I was born in 1972, my teen years were formed thru the music of the 80's and I'm so glad to have had that I had the privilege of that experience, this took a modern chart topper with the sound/feel of the 22nd century and took us thru a wormhole into the past, and twisted and tweaked the song into an 80's masterpiece. Well done! ❤️😉👍❤️
Do you like Miley Cyrus? Her early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when “Wrecking ball” came out in '83, I think she really came into her own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. She’s been compared to Laura Branigen but I think Miley has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '85, Miley released this; 'Endless Summer Vacation', her most accomplished album. I think her undisputed masterpiece is 'Flowers'. A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of singleness and the importance of independence. It's also a personal statement about Miley herself.
I love how Miley turns 68 this year, yet still refuses to retire and releases new bangers to this very day, a true legend of the 80s!
Lol for a second I was really surprised that she "is" that old
I'm dead! I can only hope I look this good when I'm her age.
I love how Miley's reinventing herself ❤
I still remember when I attended Miley's concert in 1987. It was a great experience
