I was just too young to remember Patrick Troughton so Pertwee and spearhead from space were my introduction to the show. If you're from that era you'll know all we had were the odd repeat or target books to relive what we'd seen, so it was really a case of miss it, miss out. These big finish releases are so amazing, making me experience my own personal time travel, back to saturday teatimes when I'd sit enthralled for 24 minutes and give my parents some well deserved peace and quiet! Great job everyone, keep them coming!
Honestly, I can't say in words how much I love your audio dramas and more so all your Doctor Who dramas. Please keep doing what you do, between the casting from original cast to the replacements of those who are sadly no longer with us and with the story/scripts which are so fitting and pay tribute to both classic and new Who.
Big Finish always finds a new angle, an unexplored gap to investigate. And I love that the classic Doctors and companions are thrown into these stories.
This looks amazing. I only came to Doctor Who as an adult with Eccleston and worked my way back. I could never quite square away the Pertwee Doctor with the more rebellious iterations that came later... until I started to listen to these Big Finish audios. The Third Doctor is basically your cool uncle who dressed in a nice suit and drove a Saab. So looking forward to hearing this.
Big Finish audio dramas are my escapism from my depression i listen to them at night in the dark & let the story & characters take me on a amazing adventure.
I loved Tim and Nicholas mucking about for the camera, and a great job by Tim of demonstrating that yes, voice actors CAN convey emotion through facial expression! 😄 To be fair to Jon Pertwee, a lot of the Dalek stories he got handed were kinda half-baked, to be honest.
Season 11 story's were my entry point into Doctorwho so I find this particularly nostalgic & poignant to hear. Big Finish are so very brilliant at recreating a era long past. Sadie sounds absolutely spot on. Brilliant Stuff.
Sadie is getting more and more closer to Sarah Jane. I would say "impressive", but maybe that's bit of an overreaction, considering she's literally related to Elisabeth Sladen.
I love how Revolution in Space gives Season 11 vibes in the storytelling, voice acting and sound design/music. What a way to celebrate 50 years of the Third Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith!
I would love to see Sadie continue her mother’s legacy on the screen as well. Doctor Who has a history of explaining away physical changes, and I don’t think that anyone could pull it off besides Sadie. It would be wonderful if she could lead her own narrative branch in the Whoniverse to follow in her mother’s footsteps.
Love this! Also love how its lizs daugter playing the SJ role! Speaking of sarah jane, will big finish be releasing any more "rani takes on the world" sets? Ive finished both as soon as they were released and im obsessed!
The Third Doctor adventures are my favourite Big Finish series. There’s times when I listen when the voices are 100%. Plus I think I’ve fallen in love with Sadie
I’m loving what you’re doing with the 3rd Doctor era - it’s my least favourite era but I absolutely love the dynamic between the Doctor and Liz and the Doctor and Sarah and these new stories with them have been brilliant - halfway thru Revolution in Space and loving it - Tim and Sadie are on top form!
Sadie, singlehandedly, fulfilling the hair quotient.
