Kurt was in a class of his own! Danny Hamel and Kurt are roosting in Heaven now! RIP Kurt
Rest in Peace good friend I never meet you in person just when I follow the racing in last Dakar 2013 here in Chile...I was surprised to see your skills...was amazing..winning two stages during that race...now you finish here and still runing in Heaven God Bless you Kurt !!
there is no doubt Kurt was going to end the European streak in this year Dakar just like he did to the colorblind red´s at his last Baja, damn you! stupid free loader norman.
It's always great to see other riders stop to help, check on a down rider during a race. Shows the bond between all riders
Whats so awesome about his is Kurt was clearly hurt pretty bad. But instead of asking them to go back to the pits he just told them to finish, Kurt wasn't at all selfish one bit. So cool to see even when Kurt was frustrated and in pain he was still being totally kind and supportive to other people. Ride in paradise Kurt #KC66 #KC66ForEverInOurHearts
True sport & a good man. "Nah I'm good, go getem". Godspeed 66.
Shredding the dessert at 85-90 reaches up to clear the camera that was awesome
He was just so amazing
More like 25-35
10:35 always makes me glad to see other riders to stop and check on a down rider. They all know it's a race and a competition but when a fellow rider is hurt they will always stop and make sure they are okay
3:08 he hit the ground and bounced back up kurt is literally insaneee
Kurt sure was something else. Pleasure getting to meet him.
Watching all these POV from Kurt lately. I wish I would’ve been able to meet him. Watching these videos as a kid was so shocking/amazing. RIP KC
yeah
Some great sportsmanship here! :)
GOAT...... Greatest of all Time...
What an awesome display of sportsmanship by the competing riders and Caselli.
God Speed ahead Kurt!
RIP, sad news for 2013 Baja
Rip mate
I got to hang out with kurt he was the greatest guy I had ever met he was in a class of his own I really looked up to him miss him e
Ride in Peace ♡
11:54 these 2 riders are HEROES! It's a competitive RACE...that means it's every man for himself...because that is what SPORT means. Survival of the fittest & fastest wins. However, sportsmanship is BOTH above & beyond cut-throat competition and this is so clearly on display here when tragically Kurt Caselli had a nasty crash that resulted in a 3rd degree AC separation. Both riders abandon their hopes, aspirations, and dreams of winning the race to instead come to the aid of a fellow fallen soldier. Their actions have almost made me cry in the hope that we humans can be empathetic under the utmost stressful circumstances when we could choose ruthlessness and selfishness. Faith & hope won on this occasion. However unfortunately tragically Kurt Caselli lost his life in 2013 on the 2013 Baja 1000 California, Mexico. R.I.P.
"naw, go get em!" Caselli!!!!
Truly amazing! these guys would be having so much fun in this race!.. flat out on natural terrain is probably in the top 5 fun things you can do on a motorcycle
IVAN.. u rock man.! good sportsmanship and teamwork..!!
i cant belive he die i met him before he is such a good pearson. one of the kindess people i have ever met ride in peace kurt youll good down in the ages. GODSPEED66. 1983 to 2013. rest in peace kurt. you will allways be a insperation to every one that has ever met or heard of you.
tough break for Caselli. hope he recovers 100% and makes a strong showing at the 1000.
...love to see that smoker in the top 5 out there in the desert.
that makes my shoulder start to hurt
Great sportsman ship for those two guys!!!!
Rip
Whoa that is the nastiest part of Hare and Hound. Just sit and wait in the middle of nowhere for help... Caselli is a tough dude, and nice to see other racers to slow down and ask if he is okay!
Baja 1000
Oh my I help with hare and hound!! Sugarloafers is the race team I work with! Crazy this was a race set up by my team in Utah!!
incrediblely fast and dangerous kind of race!
He's so far out front it seems to take forever for someone to come up on him.
Damn - he was 2+ minutes in front of 2nd place
Hope he's okay.
This reminds me of tav off road fury. Unreal.
great start he was haulin some serious ass sucks to end like it did
Ah yes. I've felt that feeling before. :D
shoulder...
you where flying!
how did he crash? the rocks lift his rear end or what happend
ivan rameirez (not sure if I spelled right) and Mike Brown
Interesting. He saw it was a tough section and backed way off to just cruise through only to get slammed. May be the best all around rider of our time. Humbling to watch his GoPro vids.
I AM a mini and i race the race down here in utah and i was at this race and they ca be brutal . Because the race after this i hit some sage brush lost control and i hit a tree the stuff down there comes out of no where .
there's ribbon and little signs
11:44 Like a boss !!!
Pin it Kurt!!! Godspeed R.I.P.
wow thats weird, i saw you comment on another video that wasnt dirt bike related
You're a tough man, Caselli!
He must have flown 25 feet and yes; it appears the rocks just "stopped" him as he was coasting down the hill. What is amazing - and ask any seasoned desert racing veteran - it is not the high-speed "get-offs" that are so bad; it's these types of falls when you're running anywhere from 10 to 40 mph.
good Samaritan RIP
Help me out here,,was it internal bleeding or was he poked by handlbars, handlebars, I want to know for my boys and myself. I've watched Kurt before he was sponsored by ktm,KTM, didn't know him but felt like I did.
rip
Rest in peace
He's going to win baja with quinn Cody watch and who was the other Ktm rider
Was he in 2nd when he crashed? Who passed him?!
The desert racing community is all so close. Its a mutual understanding that nobody wants to be left alone out there
Whooooaaa Whoooaaa, what happened?? from the comments--he died??????? Is he still here or did something go bad??? This guy is amazing fast, whats the end result???? I do hope hes ok and riding again
yeah, those trees trees just jump out at you right!?
shoulder separation....that's no fun =(
rip kurt...
kurt caselli is the most bad ass rider
What does the "DNF" stand for?
Did not finish
HE HAD LIKE 5 MIN LEAD IN THAT SAYS BALLS ON DESERT RACING
cant see why he fell. just looks like he lost his front tire. Get well soon!!
Ride and Rest In Pease Kurt
agreed that you have to wait for help in the middle of nowhere,,most racers stop for anyone who is down , even me!! lol
crash is at 8:36 :)
11;53 You know that was a hard hit when you start seeing rabbits riding motorcycles,
Caselli is a god!
That's right, real bros lay their bikes down to help you.
bummer
at 8.48 that hole was possiply cause by his head
Tough SOB. Where he landed left a crater like a meteor. Those are the crashes when you say how the F---- did that happen??? Seems like he rung his bell and was out for a few seconds there.
In the East, we lean our bikes against trees, in the West they just lay'em on the ground; )
did not finish
notice he cleans the gopro lens at 4:00 while still hauling ass.
man that's some skeche shit to do
Wasn't that bad of a crash it looked like
TheBaller03 ur dumb is was bad
risky move
3:09 how did he stay up ? haha
how do you know where to go? "follow kurt caselli he knows"
Sucks that he wiped out. Heal fast and race fast.
ivan ramirez is a cool dude! MEXICAN POWERRR!!!
Well It is unfortunate it happened the way it did but now we know he is human at least. :/
