- PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING: Horrible crash on a dangerous part of the track. WORCS at Glen Helen January 2012. I started on the 450B line, where the pile up started, and all the lines behind us got involved too. Just to top it off, once I had made up most of the positions I lost, I got a flat tire and lost all the spots again. Glen Helen, please never run the ridge that direction again.***I see a lot of comments wondering why I or other riders didnt run back up the hill to warn those still coming. First off, we're wearing heavy motocross boots...not exactly the best for quick mobility. Secondly, we wouldve had to run back to before where the dust started (visibility was about 15 at best in the dust) which was about 500 yards back, all uphill in loose silt. I figure it would take at least 3 to four minutes to cover that ground (leaving my bike behind as another obstacle) and another few minutes to get back. You can see how bad the terrain was when I tried to climb back up to the track. There was a guy standing on the track up there the next lap telling everyone to slow down, and I nearly hit him cruising along at a slower pace than I was riding at at the beginning of this video.
If I was involved with that crash and was able to see what number the guy had on his bike that yelled "Get out of the way!" Better I hope I don't find you in the pits after the shit these guys were involved in....
You prove that there are still some good people left in this world, Keep it up man.
I hope this spreads out and a lot of people in the industry see it. People need to see this and think about it. I do not want to blame anyone here but I know the ridge cannot be watered and I know people will race through blind conditions. Glad everyone that was safe was safe, and I pray that everyone that was hurt heals up. Lots of views for 2 days old
@hondaredrider Well glad to see your alright. I was in the RockPile Enduro in Casecade,Montana a few years ago and this happened with about 4 people. End up brace my left wrist and 2 fingers. There horrible.
That's intense, hope no one got too seriously fucked up.
Wow, what a smash! I can believe everyone rode away from that! What actually caused that, did someone come off up there somewhere?
Are you guys wearing dust filters? I can't imagine breathing that stuff non-stop all the way up the ridge. Nice video though - thanks for sharing it. These things happen.
Wow, that sucks! Looks like it could have been a lot worse though, did you ride away from it?
That guy on the kawi went flyen. Then disappeared
i was the guy on the ktm at the beginning that went by you haha... i barely made it out of that and missed all of that
2:32 'Hey i think i broke my shoulder' was hilarious
Jesus, one of those bikes skimmed your head. Fair play in getting out of there, some of those riders were hitting that fast. Have never seen anything that bad before
Any word on the two guys you were talking too? Seen one was holding his wrist and the other guy I think said he broke his rib cage, but when you took off I didn't see their bikes or them on the side. So did they take off and finish?
I've raced that ridge in the 6 and 12 hour. I always had that concern but hey, that racin' desert! Carzy video.
Right.. I feel like an idiot asking, but why could he not have been in first? Couldn't he have just lost the back end or something, then another guy hits him or his bike, then another...and another until this pileup happened?
MX Rider:so thats why you guys wear protective gear!
@hondaredrider Nice job on finishing! Props! Glad you didn't get hurt!
wow that was a mess.. cool that you helped out.. hope there wasn't any serious injurys.

great vid man I feel bad
Have you seen any of the other videos they have uploaded of this?
"You alright, dog?" Sorry, I kind of giggled at that....
That's crazy were Is it at i'm going to race Glen Helen soon but mx
everyone behind the pile up wait saying get out of the way are super self oriented!
Hole. E Shit. This is what it was like at Prairie City yesterday too during my husband's race. Thank God there weren't any bad pile ups like this though. Hope everyone was okay! Pray for rain...
Man, that blows, I was riding the other day and I lost a front brake lever to some bad dust, but man this is really bad.
The beauty of dirt bikes. Toss it around, pick it up, ride again.
whoever was ahead of you guys must have gotten an immense lead
Alot of carnage, and you came out ok and kept a cool head props yo.
Breaks your heart to see soo many mangled bikes
@xmxxmx1 Did you come speeding in or did somebody hit you...how did you break your wrist?
wow :o how is the crash begin?
was no one running up the hill to warn other riders?
how many riders what that? and was anyone seriosuly injured?
Good to see no one bothered to protect themselves from the rear. to keen to win rather than to wave people down..
So glad I was racing the gold cup at perris, glen Helen is a dust bowl!
this is happening when the track is too dusty!!
I was in that pile up too,yes it was horrible and im bruised and battered but I cant wait for the next round!
hondaredrider you were solid bro in a knarly situation. thanks!
@crazychessie no word on them...but by the time i took off i dont think they were standing there so i assume they were at least able to ride back to the pits
shit!!! that was so intense! i hope everyone is ok!
glad your okay man you went flying!
any word on what was wrong with the 2 guys who were hunched over next to you? Plz message me back thx :)
And the phrase 'cluster fuck' is visually defined.
Frikkin lucky none of that fuel spillage ignited.
@LOVESooMOTERCYCLES fyi, the wreck started with the top three, and the guys yelling to move were on the line behind us, and therefore not even battling us for position. if we couldve moved and taken off that easily, we would have.
love how alot of these comments are from people who have never even kick started a bike but they think they know something about motocross
even if you're the master of X- BOX 360 you still know nothing about motocross
man that was intense hope everyone came out ok
dude that sucks were you injured
glad everyone was alright. that's rough.
Holy Shit! that's was crazy hope everyone was ok
@Bholyak this was only my second one, the first being the glen helen course last year. that track was awesome, this one was clearly a death trap
holy shit brother, u okay? anyone get seriously hurt?
this is up on the ridge...if ur racing mx, you wont have to worry about running this ridge, but even if you did, they recently installed a water tower up there to avoid incidents like this in the future
That's racing, Everytime we throw a leg over, it's not a matter of if, but when will we crash. Hope all heal up and get back in the saddle.
@sikracing633 no my bike was fine except for cosmetic damage. it was just at the bottom of the pile as you obviously saw. when i went to take off, my rear wheel was caught on something, and i knew i had to lift the back of my bike over in order to go, but i didnt want to risk getting clipped when i hopped off and start the whole pile up again. i got a flat a couple laps later but still finished
was that guy ok?
MX Rider: What are these tall brown things?
OFF-ROAD rider: Uhhh... trees.
MX Rider: OUCH!!! They hurt when i hit them!
heres the difference dude: bomb runs are hundreds of feet wide. this was no more than 12 feet wide at best. also, I knew where my bike was...under 2 other bikes. idk about you, but im not strong enough to deadlift 250 lbs dirt bikes. and, because of the lack of visibility, i had no choice but to wait there until the crashing had stopped
Is everyone okay?!
Lol hope you all was okay fuck those who are telling you to move
@52foreman52 i took off, got a flat tire a couple laps later, but still finished
@yfsblaster101 not sure how many...i was hearing broken wrists, collarbones, ribs, and punctured lungs
@surfsup1552 Do you have your sound on? "aw my fuckin rib cage bro!" "Think I broke my wrist..." "Aye I think I broke my shoulder!"
0:53 is the best lol
@twag0735 me yelling "stop" was really just an impulse thing. i know he didnt have nearly enough distance and he probably didnt even hear me. and there were people at the top trying to slow people down but they we bascially invisible with all the dust
exactly what was going through my mind when he said it.
HOLY SHIT!!!!
0:52 the dude in green might have just saved that guy on the left from a terrible hit!
ive always thought about doing a worcs race...until now lol hope everyone was ok
Damn!!! That's so gnarly.
This is why I don't like to race at all :p I'm too scared that I would be the person to start this mess XD trail riding by myself or with friends pleases me just enough :3
that was crazy, such a sucky situation to be in.
Nigdy bym się nie spodziewał, że zawodach może dojść do takiej masakry!
Dam,what a clusterfuck.
what did u brake??
"My fuckin rib cage bro" lol i thought that was funny
wow thats crazy i hope everyone was ok
MX Rider: oh...so thaaats why you have hand guards...
Maybe he didn't make the video for a while.
@twag0735 heres just a few reasons why that was improbable... 1) i raced with a sprained ankle and therefore cant run very well, 2) its hard to run in motocross boots, 3) that hill is silty and a heck of a lot steeper than the video makes it look, 4) there were people at the peak trying to slow people down already, but to no avail, 5) since dirt bikes can't stop in 10 ft and that was the maximum visibility, it wouldve been pointless, 6) hindsight is 20/20, so quit trying to act tough
@rsideleau no, but at least those are hundreds of feet wide...
@CplCramer there was a guy up there, and he nearly got destroyed
@DUANE799 kinda hard to climb a silty hill that steep in mx boots, and even if i had, no way anyone wouldve been able to see me
@cmills725 we ride blind in the dust all the time in the dez and in Baja until you get out front and get some clean air. Just part of the deal.
You almost got fucking nailed by that rear wheel of that YZ
If that guy flying past you was any closer you would of been paralyzed.
dued i hope everyone is okay i know how you feel in that situation but damm someone should have made the effort too try and slow everyone down that horrible i cant even watch this vid man
he was either first in his class or in his gate... He probably caught up to the class in front of him when they stopped.
holy how many riders were there looks like alot!
that is gnarly! i felt like i was watching som WWI trench war footage. holy shit
Ok thank you
@52foreman52 The one with the wrist it was confirmed broken, another a punctured lung, another 5 missing front teeth ETC. Yep for sure pile up!
@RMZ250Number18 Where do you race cuz I'm buying a plane ticket.
dude your lucky as shit that bike didnt clip your head at :51 , i hope you bought a lotto ticket after that cause the speed that bike went by would have caused some serious injury... how was everyone else hopefully no serious injury. those bike where flying into the pile up.
dude @0:52 on the kawi........ OUCH!!!!!!!!!!
@dh4life100 i got out without a scratch...lot of people had to go to the hospital tho
gnarly as hell.
damn that was intense!
Holy shit! Look at how bad the honda is at 2:40... Damn..
@z50king29 They can and did water that section after seeing the problem with this race. 1 hour later it was nice and damp. Sorry for the guys that had to deal with it. Us novices later had it better.
@dist37rcr whoops sorry man, that comment was for the other guy.
