My daughter did something similar a while back but it turned into a funny "what the heck was I thinking" moment. She had an extra small glove so that she was sure her rings would fit, she poured the resin, then while the resin was still malleable she manoeuvred all the fingers except one to a folded over position. They ended up a bit distorted of course, but can you guess which finger she left extended??? Yep, that's the one, the middle finger. The funny part was that she didn't realise what she had done until I was able to stop laughing and pick myself up off the floor. She loves it all the more now. I will have to get her to take o photo for you. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Who raised that woman?...oh yeah, right. 🤣🤣🤣

Julie…use YOUR HAND as a mold. Make one of your amazing silicone molds from your own hand. That way you can position your hand how you want it and all your rings will fit your own fingers. Loved this episode. Such fun. 👏🏻👏🏻🌺🌴

    What a genious idea!
I've seen the blah ones out there for holding jewelry, but I love this and the colours you could do are endless!
I agree it needs the fingers spread wider.
I adore your magpies. They really respond and talk to you!!
The last one that answered you with a beautiful song was adorable.
Thanks for including them in your videos!

I love your colorful concept! Pre-pandemic I decided to make a few resin hands to display jewelry when working trade shows. I made solid colors with various glitters. It was a lot of trial-and-error before I I found a way to have a more natural hand position. (Since I wanted a dozen+ a silicone mold of my hand was not cost effective.) I finally discovered I could create a 10" cardboard box and cutout all the sides except the corner supports and placed a glove over the top, secured with rubber bands and tape. I used small bits of cardboard and cotton balls to hold the shape of the fingers in a relaxed position. Having access to the open sides made it easy to manipulate the fingers. I added resin in layers after pouring so much at one time it was an epic, messy fail. After all that I was burned out making hands but now my curiosity is again peaked.

A well thought out idea - do not know if it works 😅🍀
A bucket of moist sand. Shape with your hand how you think it should look in the sand.
Put the glove on a ring of a kind that fits the size of your wrist.
Gently insert a glove finger into each hole.
    Resin in a syringe.
There should be about 2 cm of resin in each finger, so maybe you can see how much is needed in the syringe for each finger, by comparing with the one you have made.
I would love to see you try it 😍
I have never tried to work with resin but SURE I would like to 😍
