Absolutely, I watched the game with a top club ref and he said that the refereeing in this game was so blatantly wrong that he would at all be surprised if there wasn’t something sinister going on here it was so bad.
Can someone at Grey explain to me what the thinking was behind this. To go with a generic under 16 and 17 team where not even all those players are available and play rugby in December. Season ended 3 months ago and you will only play again next year late March. Seems like a waist of time and money. And you can't say it's good experience. You could have played against plenty of other schools in South african and the level would have been the same if not better.
Its not always about "the rugby". Having the name of your school on a stage where the world is watching is attrative for the Grey brand. So sending youngsters to gain experience on such a stage is a massive bonus. But the real reason is marketing and the brand of Grey as the best schools rugby team in South Africa and potentially in the world.
It’s an opportunity for Grey to blood in the new kids they have bought too. The pool of players they have is huuuge. It’s an opportunity to see what everyone has
I don't know about the other schools in the country but these guys are said to train and do several trial attempts to be in the first team in the off season, I think they do at least 3 trials before a first team is selected so this might be a preparation for next season as they are the age group where the first team can be selected
The black kids attend English school. They want to be educated in English. That's why the Afrikaans school will be more white and colored kids. Like your Kurtly Arendses. So if you play Dale queens hudsonpark Glenwood and and and it will be predominantly a black side. Our top 10 sides are mostly Afrikaans schools.
Ref was looking for an excuse to give that try by going over to the touch judge. By doing so hes admitting that he clearly didnt see a grounding, but still didnt want to give up
Congrats to the Welsh team from an Englishman. You can be proud of your performances.
Wow this ref was shocking. 😂
100% agreed - could not keep up with the game.
ref was a shocker
Get Rassie on the case!!!!
Why would you pop a ball to someone when tackled in your try line 😮…
Nice to see some Welsh talent out there.
Welsh lads not taking any shite! Good game
Congratulations Grey !!
This ref should not blow for the unborn.
A lot of questionable decisions by the ref. Almost like he was paid to blow against Grey

Against grey?😂 what about that last try then clearly not grounded
What a pathetic ref. He should rather stay away from a whistle. Blatantly against Grey.
@@harryryan6661 God is good.
@@robroy8485 Does he ref?
Commentators curse, "Grey probably go on to win it"(tournament)
This said it was the final. It's clearly the semi final
it was for a spot in the final. They were playing to see who faces hamilton boys in the final
Maybe learn how to read.
Seemed to me that the welsh were the better side here
Don't be confused, the bald headed fellow looked good, but he was supposed to be the ref
@@dirkrenierswart6947 ya not moaning about the ref again are ya?
@@markhamer7220 I think Rassie needs to be brought in to make a video.
@@Adam-uy3td yeh i am sure he has at least two hours of injustices done to the boks.

@@johndanielchurch6441 They are the best but then you send your first team to do that.

Because most of their u18 have matriculated and moved on.
Playing on a cowpatch ffs...is this the Grey 3rd team btw?
Unlucky not to win the tournament ... For me they looked very strong
They definitely should've beat Grey here and they looked great against Millfield, very unlucky tournament for them
Well done Grey, you won against Cardiv and a very poor ref.
It is weird that there are more black kids playing for the English, Irish and Welsh teams than the SOUTH AFRICAN teams…
I thought this was a rugby game.

Coming from England
Completely agree, there is no way the lino has seen that either
If you watch the man with the ball you can clearly see him drop onto the line uncontested
Always blame the ref you guys were very lucky 😂😂😂
That's y rassie will help all the southern refs not be so shit world rugby are getting his help 🤣
Firts try of the Welsh team is way forward but you guys complaining about the ref 😂😂😂
The ref couldn’t even keep up with the play. Not even wearing boots? What bullshittery is this
Scottish teams should have been invited
I know the ref was bad but grey did just not play good
Strange decisions
and your commentating is so neutral ! not
my fellow South Africans let's stop complaining about the ref (no matter how bais it may seem) they love to see it
Jammer dat ons, ons kinders laat sport speel op gelofte dag.
No9 at 1m27s typical soccer stunt, no other player near him and he fakes an injury.
All saffas do is complain
and win
I thinking winning as well.
This ref was useless
Exactly, like what is he even wearing??
