I admire your work and your explanation of your thinking as you paint. That looks like a Josh Bean pallet. I bought one from him and sure like the lightness of it, though it must have just been spray painted and the arms of the canvas holder seems to stick when folded even after months. But no complaints...it is a very handy tool. Beautiful country you paint.
