Between seasons is my favorite time to visit otherwise touristy full places. The summer folk have left and the winter folk have not yet arrived and it's the "quiet time" that I like best! Lovely vid today I really enjoyed the scenery !
things to do this time of year and Colorado if you make your way back around to Colorado Springs, you can do 14,000 feet elevation on pikes peak. You can also check out the royal gorge which is about 45 minutes from Colorado Springs. Pretty awesome this time of year they also have a dinner train that goes through the mountains for three hours at the royal gorge, and while in Colorado Springs, they have the seven Falls and Cave of the winds and the Manitou cliff dwellings pretty cool place to check out and all the stuff is pretty reasonable reasonable in price!
Ok guys you need a candle, Walmart has candles that crackle while it’s burning so you get that romantic vibe like a real fire. It’s called Wood Wick Candles.
Perfect time to travel and explore those peak season spots is spring and autumn affectionally known as the "shoulder season" where crowds are sparse and prices reasonably low. I think Jimmy has the pancake flipping technique nailed! Happy trails guys!
Your bus is beautiful. I would advertise it on your channel with pictures! New viewers might not know how awesome it is. Someone with know how would be so lucky. Your layout was just great!
It's so funny how impressed people from out of state are with Colorado. I live on Monument Rd. and hike with my dog on that trail very regularly. It must suck living somewhere that you have to go on vacation to escape.
Delighted that you discovered Western Colorado! I'm one of those nutcakes that used to peddle the Monument. I think the only reason to endure the uphill is to FLY down!
For years we have been going to the southwest part of Colorado to camp & fish... after the pandemic we squeak in a place to stay, 2022 we could not find a campsite😯 your love for each other brings joy to my heart❤ I feel like making it mandatory for my clients to watch your channel. 'Together' 👍
For reference if the pumpkin does not have anything sprayed on it to last longer you can put the pumpkin out for animals. Moose love pumpkins so do most rodent populations like marmots. Just do not put it by a road or right on a trail. The caves are cool , imagine living in them. Be safe guys.
I started watching you last week. You both are wonderful. I love the banter between you too. My husband and I have a class C , we’re both excited to see where you go thru the seasons!!!!
Wow this is so cool! I can’t wait to get my van to the mountains! This weeks project is getting new tires (ouch$$) and working on kitchen set up. Can’t wait to finish! This is so inspiring thank you for sharing:)
October in Colorado is known as the ‘Shoulder Season’ where tourist for the summer are gone and tourist for the ski season haven’t flooded the Colorado ski areas yet!
I rode a bicycle up and down that road a few years back and it was the most incredible and dangerous bike ride I had ever been on. I'm so glad you guys had the opportunity to see this.
Being that I'm a grumpy old man, and I almost cannot stand anything.....I have to confess that I really do love your channel. Welcome to Colorado by the way. That's where I live. All kidding aside, enjoy yourselves in Colorful Colorado. Stay safe.
As a European ! You have the most beautiful and diverse scenery. Be so proud of what the US has to offer us. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Hugs from a sunny November day in Dublin Ireland. 🍀💚😺💚🍀
It's messed up that so many campgrounds require reservations now. For most, reservations can't be made at the campground due to the lack of internet/phone connection.
We loved the gondola ride at Gore Mountain up in the Adirondaks in NY. My hubby and I did it on a whim during one of our trips up there and it was so fun.
Don’t forget to set your heater air intake in accordance with changes of elevation, thinner air in the mountains. Also, when the ski resorts open, rent some skis and take ski lessons in Colorado and Utah, lots ski hills have gondolas. Then when you get to Canada, you can ski six months of the year. BC & Alberta.
Such a great time! I love the sunrise shots! Go, Natalie! Beautiful! Jimmy, I'm glad you got a chance to be able to look at the scenery! Y'all are so amazing...almost 31,000 subs!!!! ❤❤❤From SC, Jane 🙏 Thanks for bringing us with you!
Welcome to Colorado don't be put off by the cold because it's actually the best part of Colorado. The black canyon of the Gunnison & Royal Gorge are canyons that are in Colorado that have no comparison even the grand canyon. Remember the Colorado River is the biggest dynamic part of the grand canyon so we got our hands in that one too lol!
Love watching your adventures!!! I've never been in a cave...I didn't realize that until you were deep inside wow Your videos have a loving, calming natural feeling to it ...thank you❤️
My wife and I are retired and built a skoolie this year. Been living in it since May. We have been working our way westward toward Arizona for sightseeing and exploring with a thought toward Skooliepalooza. Been fans for most of the build and hoping to run into you guys while we are in the Western states! Currently in New Mexico and will be in southern AZ by Thanksgiving. Keep up the good work!
They call a late breakfast/ Lunch: "Brunch". (Two meals in one). Then end off with Supper (Or a BBQ). Sure was nerve racking going through the curves and being close to the edge. Thank you for sharing your hike and your adventures. "Awesome" views. Regards from South Africa 🇿🇦..
What fun following you two around on your adventure! Thanks for taking us along! Here's a suggestion for climbing your first "Fourteener": Mount Bierstadt near Georgetown is one of the easiest of the fourteeners to "climb." It's really just a mild hike that's not hatefully steep. You can easily do the hike without any fancy gear: just hiking boots, or even just running shoes, if you're surefooted. When you reach the top, you'll be looking over a long "sawtooth" ridge, with Mount Evans on the opposite end of the ridge. If you haven't had enough of the altitude yet, you can hop in the van and buzz down the road to Idaho Springs, and then drive Pancake to the top of Mount Evans, and then you can look over that sawtooth ridge the other way. A hike up Bierstadt now would be chilly - until you start to generate your own heat and take off a few layers! Sunday and Monday have the nicest forecast! I looked at a webcam, and there's no snow standing in town in Goergetown, but you might want to check and ensure that the top of Bierstadt is not yet snowbound. It may be too late in the year to do it now.
It's really pretty there and thank you so much for taking us on your adventures! But... The scenes are almost as pretty as Goblin Valley and almost as pretty as Canyonlands and Arches and almost as pretty as Bryce Canyon and Zion :) Almost as pretty as Utah, but, nope. Still really pretty though. Great filming with the sunrise and camera time-lapse and angles. Thanks for putting in the work
The gondola in Telluride is FREE! It was implemented to encourage commuting from Mountain Village and reduce the need for parking in town. Bonus is a camp site in City Park as it’s an easy walk to the gondola station and downtown!
Another bonus is taking your mountain bike along in the gondola, and riding back down the mountain into town! Like so much of the rest of Colorado, Telluride should be on your bucket list!
Hey there Jimmy and Natalie . Colorado is beautiful but too cold loll. Right now to enjoy.. you should go back during the summer.. there are free camping you just have to look like.. you should try Lake Freyer here in Borger Texas.. free camping. You guys are fun to watch. Camping and traveling is fun enjoy every minute of it alot to see.. thanks for taking us along with you everywhere you go. Stay safe out there on the roads 😊 🏞🏞🏞🏞
If you like gondolas, check out Telluride. Bonus: It's free. You park at Mountain Village and ride the gondola into Telluride and then back (which is good, because there's very little parking in Telluride)
You gotta get Down jackets, or synthetic jackets for the cold dry days. Its a game changer. Marino/Super wool socks are also perfect for the cold. Good luck acclimating.
you all know there are a lot of rattle snakes, however most snakes will stay hidden in the cold, but I would stay away from bushes brush and make a lot of noise kick rocks and sand.
Get a artic lined carhardt coat or jacket. You can wear your bibs too. Or get artic lined ones so you can still go outside come winter time. Beautiful country, I loved Colorado, I live in Arizona and been to the Grand Canyon is gorgeous and different during the seasons.
get a pie tin ,3 to 4 small clay pots , candles and light the candle and place the clay pots around so you can turn one upside down onto pso you can generate heat
GUYz, When you connect to campground water, especially in the off season, no water has flowed out of that faucet for who knows how long & the water that has been sitting in the pipe is usually tastes pretty bad. So, it is best practices to run the water for 2-3 min before you connect & fill your tank. ALSO, NEVER put any water in your tank that does not go thru a water filter. Not even big city municipal water. !
I stayed at the hotel at the base of the gondola in Glenwood Springs this summer. Definetly a lot more busy during the summer months. Hope y'all got to visit the hot springs there.
We call it Mud Season, here in Colorado. The best place near Glenwood Springs is Hanging Lake. I hope you climbed up the trail to see it. You would love it.
Colorado has always been one of the tops on my list. I can't wait to visit one day! Hope you guys are enjoying yourselves. Can't wait to see where you're off to next (hopefully somewhere warmer for your sake) lol
Nice video. I'm always put at ease watching you guys. And, you're in my backyard, per se. I live inna suburb of Denver. I highly recommend Red Rocks Amphitheater. Yes tourist-y, if you will, but a wondrous place. Go for sunrise. Yes close to Denver, but far enough that you aren't in the city. Holler if you need a place to stock up on water, or whatever. I've got tools Jimmy can play with if you need anything done. Be safe and keep on..keeping on! BTW, I love your music selections.
The whole Western Section of the U S is stunning! You keep mentioning work do you work from the road or is it planning routes, night accommodations, sight seeing & editing know that’s time consuming. Happy Travels! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
PS - yes, you're here in "mud season". Just like you described it, it is the season between other seasons. Typically, this is the time that places like ski areas and other winter season towns do their clean-up from summer and fall and prep for the winter season. They also give staff a break, before the next tourist season begins. Its a best kept secret, so shhh, don't tell anyone! HA! PPS - yes, all CO state parks now require a reservation.
You get to see beauty like that, amazing. We in N.Z got nothing like that here. We only got the Milford sound and the Fiordland's at the bottom left hand side of the South Island near Queenstown N.Z, Oh and Mount Cook.
Great video guys! I'm from Colorado and just left there for the south. It's getting cold up there. You definitely have gone to places I haven't been so that was cool to see; Rifle Falls. There's still plenty to do in Colorado all year round. But some of the smaller places shut down once it gets cold. It's like there's an in-between before ski season hits. Safe journeys and I look forward to seeing what else fun you find in my home state. I'll be going to some of the places you mention in your videos. Thanks!
you should have a filtration system on that never trust any water at face value we learned that the hard way when we got sick from not filtering it out
There is a tramway in El Paso, TX.. When it reaches the top, you can see Texas and Mexico. Also, New Mexico. I'm not sure if the cars are the same size, and I have NO IDEA how much it costs. Looks as if y'all had fun. I love Colorado. I used to visit once a year, but all my dad did was fish. We didn't do anything fun...sadly.
I have gotten a site without reservation every time I've tried. I just go up to the campground and ask if they have a site available. You should try it sometime 😎👍
dang! you missed grand mesa, the tallest flat top mountain in the world -- my view out my window every day -- you guys are so cute -- much love from grand junction
Are they not the cutest and most sincere couple???? I love your videos
Aw, thank you so much!! 😊💚
You guys are so stinking cute! Thanks for sharing clean, wholesome lives for us to enjoy!

Totally agree! We love visiting places during the off season 😄
You both are a a bolt of energy. Great video!
Aw, thank you!! ⚡️😄
I absolutely love seeing you two having such a good time and not worrying about your bus! So sweet!
Always a pleasure to hang out with you two.💜💙

Another fantastic video! Thank you for taking me along!
You two are a breath of fresh air! This 69 yr old grandma from Pennsylvania loves following along your journey! Your videos are awesome!
Thanks for showing me new places to go on our next colorado trip.
Delighted that you discovered Western Colorado! I'm one of those nutcakes that used to peddle the Monument. I think the only reason to endure the uphill is to FLY down!

It definitely threw a wrench in our plans! 😅
I try to call and research before I go over, noticed each park is different. Frustrating!
In this time and age!! It should not be too hard to have good internet!
We loved the gondola ride at Gore Mountain up in the Adirondaks in NY. My hubby and I did it on a whim during one of our trips up there and it was so fun.
That sounds awesome! We’ll try to remember that for when we make it up there 😄

Colorado is the state we were most excited to visit, and so far it lives up to the hype! Although we might be better suited for their summer season… 😂

My favorite time to go to Colorado is in October. I highly recommend Colorado Springs to do the manitou incline and and to see the garden of the gods
Going to places that are closed during the winter is cool not so many people. Your own private tour. The gondola was super cool..
The whole Western Section of the U S is stunning! You keep mentioning work do you work from the road or is it planning routes, night accommodations, sight seeing & editing know that’s time consuming. Happy Travels! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
It takes us about an hour to edit one minute of a video, so it’s mostly editing! 😊
I'd recommend driving the bus to California where the conversion market is larger and it's still warm. Would increase the odds of it selling
I really enjoyed your video. 👌🏼
Great channel. 🤝 ⭐️
Greetings from Albania. 👋🏼🇦🇱
Pumpkin soup and if you have an oven, toasted pumpkin seeds
candles do a good job of helping heat it.
That was a fun trip!!! Thanks for taking us along!
That’s why they call it the GRAND Canyon.
Way too cold for most people to travel too is why everything is closed. Best time to get to places that are packed during the summer though!!
Great beautiful gentle video's. I really enjoy them. Hugs UK

I like your new Van home. easyer than the bus to get it around tight roads
As you head south you must visit Mesa Verde - National Park. My niece is a Archaeologist at Mesa Verde National Park.
You get to see beauty like that, amazing. We in N.Z got nothing like that here.
We only got the Milford sound and the Fiordland's at the bottom left hand side of the South Island near Queenstown N.Z, Oh and Mount Cook.
Way to go

Jimmy got a cold, hope it passes fast
November is mud season in Colorado between fall & winter ski season. FYI Telluride has a free gondola
Glad you guys made it here to the western slope of Colorado. Rifle is where I call home when I am not on the road.
love your falls -- theyre especially spectacular when frozen
you should have a filtration system on that never trust any water at face value we learned that the hard way when we got sick from not filtering it out
Make pumpkin soup with your pumpkin it’s so good! 😊
those people are training for the triathlon doing it in the mountains helps you go for the long haul
Awesome adventures🥰😍
There is a tramway in El Paso, TX.. When it reaches the top, you can see Texas and Mexico. Also, New Mexico. I'm not sure if the cars are the same size, and I have NO IDEA how much it costs. Most likely CO is a 'closure' state. Like it is here in PA. Oct 1 is when our state parks shut down for the season
You two are so great! 😊
Come to Colorado Springs & say hi!!
Those waterfalls are beautiful. Have fun and be safe
I enjoy your travels and your sharing of them. A REAL gondola ride can be had at Teton Village ouside of Jackson, WY.
Very pretty area to visit
