Nice job! One of my favorite scale models in a good color scheme. Congrats on making a Guillows kit fly so well!

Nice job! I wish mine would fly this long. Well done!

Thanks! Your P63 looks as if it could easily squeeze such a duration, its just not trimmed yet :-) Good luck!

Was there really ever a full scale F6F that was painted red?

Thanks! Let me copy paste from previous comment (lazy) :-)
I cut out some wood from the inner side of formers to get more space inside the fuselage for the rubber. In the plastic nose piece I cut out square for the removable nose plug. Covering is domestic tissue, still lighter than the one delivered in the kit. Bigger, 6.5 prop and FAI rubber completes the modifications list. Rubber is 3/16"wide Tan Super Sport.

@@livingroomflight2780 hahaha dont worry mate i know the feeling least ya getting the comments tho! ;) .
Thanks for the tips mate,Do you recon, with abit of lightning, and a few formers removing, that you could get one of these to fly with the kit rubber and prop?

@@BurntwolfAirsoft Hehe thanks man :) Should be possible to get it in the air with a kit rubber, but I did not try it. I would not remove the formers though, it will not make the model a lot lighter, probably lot weaker.
Maybe read also about trimming here:
      www.gryffinaero.com/models/ffpages/tips/10step.html
Also, you can get the rubber from the UK for couple of pounds here, they also have tissue and props.

That guy builds quite some guillows and he might be flying on a kit rubber, not sure.

Nice flight ! How much modification did you do to the stock kit?

Ah, forgot about custom tissue decals, the one from the kit looked too glossy for an unpainted model ;)

@@livingroomflight2780 thanks for the reply I know that the older kits had some pretty heavy wood in them haven't tried the Lazer cut ones yet . I had friends in the past that have built the hellcat with good results.looks like yours is well on it's way to becoming a good flying model as well. Thanks for sharing & happy flying 👍🏼
