    I pull a lot of different trailers and always have a cordless drill with me. This winch will go behind my seat for when I'm loading a car that won't run. Great idea.

    OK . I was laughing at it until they got to the fence work. That looked a lot easier than using a come along. For that I give it a thumbs up.

    The in applications on the vid could be done otherwise by driving the vehicles ! !
    Could be used by Hunter to hoist up large game, especially if over 500lbs, using a 2:1 or 3:1 mechanical advantage and Dynemea rope instead of wire rope

    I would never use this to recover my car. but for fencing and construction work as a helping hand ore lift a steal beam it looks like the right tool. Ore as a hoist to the attic when the went unit need replaced/change.

    cool piece of equipment, but it seems like it would take much longer than simply driving a lot of the vehicles the commercial had shown onto their respective ramps, I see the usefulness, but maybe it should be a little stronger and faster?

    • @kadmow
      @kadmow 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Then the drill may not have enough torque to do the job...
      (also the battery will "sag" worse if the (power) draw is too high)
      Horses for courses.

    Man there are some dumb comments on this video. Yes, if your 4 wheeler is running you can ride onto the trailer but sometimes things aren't working. Therefore a winch is very helpful.

    Does it come with a hand crank, so when your drill battery goes dead, you can still get the job done?
    When you see all the other reviews on TH-cam, you realize it is not quite powerful enough to do most jobs that you can't do by hand. Yes, you can use a snatch block, but that makes it incredibly slow. It seems more like a nice idea that doesn't quite measure up to expectations.

    • @DSMattitude
      @DSMattitude ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ive used one of these and it is painfully slow. A hand crank would take actual hours to reel in all the way.

    • @fhuber7507
      @fhuber7507 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mounted a Harbor Freight 2500 lb ATV wingh on a "stinger" extension step Combined with ability to plug in RC model 3 cell LiPo, I have a higher power much heavier duty (but much heavier) portable winch with remote control.
      (might give Warn ideas....)
      The thing that is missing is a reasonably priced cable kit to run wire from truckbattery to the rear bumper for a winch.
      I used a 20 ft 4 gauge jumper cable + 150 amp rated stereo fuse holder (40 amp fuse in it) Heavy duty RC model battery connectors rated 50 volts 180 amps.
