Hopefully these steps will help. Only setting i really want to keep is force max refresh rate from dev settings so my phone is always 90hz. What's your opinion on 5g? I changed my preferred network type from 5g to LTE recently but I'm not sure if that'll really help or if switching back to 5g will be okay for the battery.
Hello, I am trying some of your advice because my brand new Pixel 7a has been draining a lot of battery recently. I love the phone except for that issue. When I first got it, it did not seem to drain as fast, but for the past couple of weeks it can go through 30% of its battery while idle. I had it in ultra power saver mode with all notifications turned off while I was sleeping (also night mode for screen) and it went from 66% battery to 33%! I really hope Google releases a fix because I have to recharge this phone twice a day right now and I am not a heavy user! I think their idling software should be examined first for a potential patch. I miss my 300 € Xiaomi which could last for three days 🙃
One thing which drastically reduced my overnight battery drain is me turning off the always on lock screen. Earlier it used to go down by 20-25% overnight but now it's 6% at max.
im having battery issues with it. I contacted support and they wanted me to send in my phone to fix the issue, really not wanting to send it in. hopefully there will be a new patch
@@pratham2333now in 2024 with my pixel 7a I've had for 6 months and recently got android 15 and my standby time is about 46 hours but if I turn battery saver on a airplane mode it will drop 1 percent per day it's really good now
This phone is universally panned for having the worse battery life on a Pixel device. Even compared to the older Pixel 6a. So, my question is will thrse help get me up to 5 hours screen on time and still have at least 20% before midnight on moderate use?
After flashing custom rom chime build device(Redmi 9t) it doesn't boot it goes black screen how to fix this please help. Btw, I'm using orange fox recovery android 13 hoping you will help me
@@munchy_cool Yeap, iphones specially are overpriced devices, Samsung too, but at least iphone doesn't overheats, and S23 is a good smartphone for $700. No bro! Processor efficiency is terrible. It charges really slow. It takes more than an hour and a half and SoT is bad. I get like 2-3 hours. Look for other options in that range.
Today now at 39°c it's charged 35% in 80 minutes, few days ago it's charging 3% in 30 minutes and 10% in 40 minutes almost. What's going on, is this normal? I've contacted Google via Facebook page, and last I told them, Good job Google.
there's a ghost in your phone ..lol battery charging slows down as it reaches 100% ...so you need to see that starting and ending battery percentage as well when you are trying to compare charging speed at different temperatures
Well, at the end no User want to investigate a lot of time in the smartphone to save battery power and reduce the functionality of the smartphone! Google work on it!
Nah this isn't the problem. The problem is the phone is at 12% and rapidly drains to 8 or 5 then shuts off completely. It refuses to turn back on if i try to power it up but if i plug it in for even 2 seconds it turns on like it was never off. No clue what the hell causes this problem but I'll be trying to trade in my pixel for a Samsung on marketplace apps because Galaxy phones never gave me these problems. The ONLY saving grace for any pixel series is the camera. I've had battery problems with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 6 as well so it seems like a brand problem and cell phone shops I've spoken to are all aware of this
Can you make a video about the heating problem and network reception issues in indoors after the May security patch update.(you've only made video about the video recording after the May security patch) And compare the same with pixel 7. Here in India people are discussing a lot about those issues. It may be a deal breaker if they don't have a fix. Thanks in advance.

Spending $500 on a pixel 7a, and then disabling functions or looking for tips on how to avoid heating, battery drain, etc, is masochism.
forget $500 7a, youtube has videos for $1000 iphones and $1800 folds as well..

Thinking of getting this. Are the battery drain issues fixed? And the heating issues?
It has both problems. It has nice aspects to it, but the heating and battery drain are the two big negatives.
Nice. How much does your battery last?
