I’m British and I remember the baby bop pop ad in the 90s, we had the American one!
Yes we did. We also had the caprisun adverts too - they American ones. Most of the time Nickelodeon would just play the American adverts. I’m pretty sure we had the American Frosties advert too but they changed up the last scene to have Frosties instead of Frosted Flakes on the box

I've never seen 80% of the commercials shown here oof, but there are a lot of jingles and other commercials I remember from my childhood that others may not know, because you would only see them here in my state. I live in Texas, and DQ is a jingle that has never been able to leave my brain.

All tv ads I have ever seen for "new" boardgames are some version of Buckaroo/Operation i.e. do something until something bad happens.
for the dont wake daddy thing, i remember there being one were you had to take biscuit from a sleeping grandma, if she woke, her denchers popped out but it was the exact same game lol.
That baseball add became a softball cheer that people sing TO THIS DAY

The zoo pals ad brought back memories I didn't even know I had-
Head on does cool down the skin on you forhead though, so there's that at least. I'd use it to cool down if I had a headache or if I was too hot, when I couldn't just stick a wet paper towel on my head lol

The Chef on the front of Chef Boyardee was a real person. His name was actually Boiardi, and he became well known for making up meal kits during World War 2 and putting them into army food packages. Eventually he made a business of it, and he spelled his name Boyardee on the can so that people could pronounce it.

Y’all missing out on the next generation of Capri Sun ads after the liquid cool ones, which their entire concept was I guess kids were getting in trouble for blowing them up into little balloons and stepping on them or smashing them into the table to pop them so there was an entire series of ads telling you to RESPECT THE POUCH or else YOU’D explode. It was an ad for caprisun and a safety statement in one.

We had “Don’t Wake Dad” in the Uk, I think it was the same ad just with English voice over.
We got a few ads like that
yeah we also have it in France and it's called "réveille pas papa" so I guess it's a pretty international game
I don't know whether this is me remembering stuff weirdly but I think in the UK we had 'Don't Wake Dad' but it was something like don't wake the mummy and was Egyptian themed.

I'm Scottish and I have a game in our cupboard called "don't wake dad" and the point is that you're trying to get to the fridge to get a snack lol. Other than that it's exactly the same, even the plastic dad is identical they must've just changed it up a bit for the UK lol

I have vivid memories of fighting my brother over who got to have the dog and owl plates and when we got to the bottom of the package there would be fights over who had to deal with the frog and pig

Fun fact #5: I remembered "IDK, my BFF Jill?" but totally forgot it was from a commercial or what the commercial was for until I just saw it again here. The phrase is just burned into my brain without even remembering why. That's either really good advertising, or really bad...
