- I recently received my custom pipe from SP Engineering, in short, it's AMAZING. Here's some footage I put together to give you an idea of the sound. A deep rumble almost Harley-esque, but still keeping to that signature parallel twin thump. It's a wild animal when opening it up! Pops, gargles and sounds beautiful on the overrun. The note just fits the Scramblers aggressive styling, and I goddamn love it! Not only that, but it looks insane too, photo's and further details are over on my Instagram @unparalleledtwin, check 'em out! This sold me. Makes it sound like how the 900 sounds with the peashooters! Love it.

I still have the cat in, and I'm still rocking these pipes today. Honestly love the sound. They are loud, but not Harley obnoxious. Great balance. Straight through, they are a bit too much.

Cheers! Sold? NEVER. I'm resorting to watching this video to get me through the lockdown! But yeah, no issues with power, I ran the 12 minute cycle once fitted, so that may have made the difference. I have also removed the rubber snorkel from the air filter, so these subtle changes may be helping overall air/fuel flow. If I did suffer power loss, this Scram has so much low down poke, and the sound is just 👌 too good to care. Stay safe out there!
Unparalleled Twin 😆 No Sold as in if there are no ill effects of the straight exhaust...then I’m Sold on buying one! My ScramblerXE and I are best friends...I’m never getting rid of it. This is great news! I’m doing a booster plug at the same time, so it’ll be interesting the difference and sound! Cheers! Stay safe my friend.
Mondo Oso I’d skip the booster plug and go with the TuneECU reflash. I’ve got a cat delete with this pipe, with the tune this bike definitely pulls harder in the mid and upper rpm range with no noticeable loss down low.

Sounds great but do you think decating the headers will affect the performance negatively?
I ordered these for my 2022 XC since my year has the cat in the muffler section I Also ordered the baffles with mine. It’s on back order but I can’t wait to receive them!
Very nice!! I have already fitted a Zard decat to my bike so not sure if to get this exhaust or not. I've contact SP Eng to see if they will do a baffle option for it, I'll make a decision on their response. Stay safe and enjoy!!
With a decat I can tell you this setup is extremely loud, straight piped Harley loud.
Bit late to reply but Total will put baffles in theirs. Sounds good without scaring the all the horses round here.

Cheers dude! They're Mitas E10's, and they're the best knobblies I've ever used on the street. Super sticky, but the compromise is lifespan. Rear lasts about 3000 miles.

Not too sure, but still have the stock pipes, so can play it safe should that time come. ;)

I don't believe so, as they're straight through pipes, no baffles etc.

No totally different pipes.
Totals stop shorter and do away with number plate, basically 2 straight tubes
What Colin said! (apologies for super late reply) this exhaust is made by SP Engineering. Not sure who fabricates the Total pipes I'm afraid.

It is yes, still the stock header with cat. I believe this pipe would be far too lethal with a decat, volume would be truly INSANE!
Tough choice! For performance and in particular heat development reasons I want to go with the Decat, but the sound is really awesome!

Those straight throughs would awaken the dead if you de-catted it.. Not a fan, sorry. Would rather have something more in line with the stock ones looks-wise, and de-cat. Waiting for TEC bike parts to come up with something tasty that weighs about half compared to stock :)
HerrBlackwood I can attest to the fact that they do indeed wake the dead with a decat...
Any heat reduction or about the same as the stock pipes?
No real heat reduction to be honest. I mean you have way less surface area for your legs to touch etc, which is a plus. If mounting a dry bag or wide luggage to the rear, it'll be well away from the exhaust too, which is a bonus.
The exhaust gets so hot doesn't it. I ended up decat'ing my one (Zard decat) and the difference is really noticeable, no more skin melting while sitting at traffic lights! Well worth it.
