I played the crap out of Ridge Racer 7, MotorStorm, Blur, Split/Second, Driver SanFran, Midnight Club 3 + LA, DriveClub and Burnout Paradise. If we're talking PS2 racing games, then there's even more franchises that haven't seen the light of day past one game like Auto Modellista and Enthusia. I miss when new racing games were released often and most of them were quality titles. Now we're just trying to settle for running Gran Turismo 4 on an emulator, or lucky enough to have any of these more modern games in your physical library or on a SSD/HDD before the publishers couldn't keep up the licenses and pulled them from storefronts.
Feel like MotorStorm Apocalypse would still be taken in poor taste considering current events. Some of the tracks have full blown war going on between the gangs of the city and an extremely well armed 'security force'. Recall one track having that security force staging their own version of storming the beaches of Normandy as they bring in troops and tanks via landing craft.

Pure incompetence to game companies. Sony cared less about MotorStorm, Disney cared less about Triple A game development, Activision cared less about good games, EA cared less about fun singleplayer gaming, Rockstar cared less about other games, Namco cared less about Ridge Racer, and Ubisoft.... Ubisoft cared less about us.

👄 *"mwah"* 👌 perfect.
Motorstorm got me into Slipknot, Burnout 3 got me into My chemical romance and Atreyu.
We need a remake of Motorstorm Apocalypse...
Blur, Split Second, Brunout, MC, Driver, PGR some real classic racing games that i played so much back in the day
Blur is my favourite game of all time, never get bored of it, still wish for another controller though :(
Crazy taxi and midnight club were everything, driver SF I genuinely enjoyed and I am praying the new TDU game picked up and recreates the franchise, not like what EA did with NFS 2015
they will not disappear and be forgotten because they will be remembered forever in the hearts of their fans
I played blur while listening to 2017s music... Nostalgia !
So true especially the EA & Rockstar part.
Yeah, that's a shame we don't get racing games like that these days. But who knows, maybe one day they'll rise from the ashes 🤞
NFS Heat was pretty good imo, as a singleplayer game.
honestly motorstorm Had A LOT of potencial, especially pacific rift, sony just didnt know Nor cared about it
Midnight club, blur, burnout, driver sf, split second and ridge racer in particular made me feel the most. Midnight club especially, 2,3, and LA are among the greatest of the genre
Thank u JEF u have truly honoured these games. We have truly lost them
road rash and street king both game motorcycle had underrated motorcycle game ever had
Crazy Taxi was one of my first games on PS2 and Motor Storm one of my first games at PS3 bro I miss this times
wipeout, f-zero, choro q, and tokyo xtreme racer too imo. so glad ridge racer was on there though often forgotten about. loved all of these games
Split second and blur are my favorite games next to the original Need for Speed games. I can't forget the menu ost of blur. And literally installed split second 3 times and completed it 100% again and again.
I've been replaying playing motorstorm pacific rift and apocalypse on rpcs3 loving it brings back so many fond memories
The best crashing game, burnout series
thank you for making us relive our good old times spent on these games especially Motorstorm which has a special place in my heart
Same
Even Flatout on PS2 and PSP that I've never forget about.
Midnight club is supposedly coming back but with current EA that owns pretty much every ip address too most of the games in the video I wouldn't even waste your money on buying it
Driver, in these firsts games have more craziest police chases
Until Driver San Francisco, where it's just a vehicular police chase. The police chase system back then was similar to that of the GTA eras.
@@windows10759 Wii version had weapon system aswell like older driver games.
I understand you had to cut the soundtracks because of youtube's copyright policies, but Damn, really makes you realise how HUGE of an impact the songs added to the overall experience !
Loved burnout games. Sooo much replay value there. Split second was close with the track course changing effects
Split/second
Motorstorm
Blur
Burnout
Flatout
Wreck your opponents and win the race
They may be gone but they aren't in last place
Also motorstorm:
*Crush your opponents*
*Throw them off a cliff*
*Throw them into the lava*
*Crush them with your big MONSTER TRUCK*
@@J.M91843 *Anyway you can destroy them... MAKE IT MORE CHAOTIC*
@@diegogouveia8409 oh yeah..
*BOOST EXPLOSION NEAR THEM!*
@@J.M91843 Outstanding move
Motorstorm and Motorstorm rift made my entire chillhood like it was coming back to school and start to play motorstorm for HOURS in my ps3 what a good times.
Ngl i wish about to continue the franchise of Motorstorm
Motorstorm pacific rift, split second, burnout and midnight club shaped me into the person I am and I forever hold pacific rift in my heart because of the tracks, songs and vehicles and how everything felt alive
I actually Still play Burnout 3 Take down on Pcxs on android
And i play Burnout legends and Burnout Dominator and Sega Rally Revo on PPSSPP the games where Fun and Addicting tho😂
Title for this video is very true. Even Blur had left a mark on the video game industry. Just shows what kind of company Activision was, back then.
The car sounds for blur are so good my god.
Split second was my childhood's only disney i knew. And i love that.
That intense and everything. Nothing has overcome that experience till nowadays.
I loved playing MotorStorm Pacific Rift and Apocalypse games, along with Blur and Split/Second
This may never start
We could fall apart
And I'd be your memory
Lost your sense of fear
Feelings insincere
Can I be your memory?
😢
So get back, back, back to where we lasted
Just like I imagined
Holding out to feel this way...
So get back, back, back to your disaster
My heart's beating faster
Holding on to feel the same
Blur gives me Need For Speed: Rivals vibes
Blur was the greatest game I've played
Split/second and blur are my fav arcade racing games of all time
I never heard of most of these games, but I do know Blur, Burnout, Midnight Club, Split Second. Burnout Revenge was my favorite growing up.
blur with the bois was one of the most fun I had in a game
Split/Second was the bomb! Loved it
Still remember playing Blur and Burnout Paradise on my Xbox 360, and how can I forget, Midnight club on the ps2. Ah good times.. good times indeed.
great video, I'm gonna have to try and complete my Roadrash collection I think!
😍😍😍 merci pour tout ces bon souvenirs.
Blur was definitely ahead of its time when it comes to graphics and smooth animations.
I still play blur. It's so fun playing splitscreen with friends.
Blur game is so well made
Music is just spot on
Graphics are great
Difficulty is spot on
No annoying rubber banding
100% replayability
Car handing is great
Grippy cars are actually grippy
Overall Masterpiece
I grew up with motor storm and burnout, 2 games from each series!
I loved playing blur. I miss that game so much.
I remember the first burnout, motorstorm and all midnight club. So good games that are gone
Man the motorstorm atmosphere que the soundtrack just hits❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ me and cousin played multiplayer and that nostalgia just hits mannnn❤️❤️❤️
i loved the Ridge Racer series, number 4 was my fave. Burnout was always great fun, spent many hours playing midnight club and the need for speed games.
Alos really enjoyed Auto Modelista, was a good game with cool effects
But the game that has the fondest memories for me, is Super Monaco GP :) i spent so many hours in that game and felt real tension when i had my rival right behind me in the rear view mirror :)
Ah i remember being so exited to play blur when it first came out
The Good ol' days
I'm just excited i got to play these games
Oh blur is not gone. Still well and alive on my pc. Loooove it! 😍
All of them are worth every Penny ❤️
Aside from NFS Most Wanted, Burnout 3 Takedown felt very therapeutic and fun whenever I had a bad day at school back then or when traffic was terrible
Ridge Racer is my fave game series of all time. RR8 will happen one day
2:49 I'm dying. 💀
"Hey! Tax-eeek!"
