    My new favorite yacht. So much space in 120 feet. Six thousand mile range. I wish more yachts would stretch the main deck to the bow. I’m sure this boat has more room than most 150-175s. Just an incredible boat.

      52 tons of fuel (assuming metric tons) is 15,600 gallons, and a 6000 mile voyage will take 41.5 days at 6 knots. If we assume diesel prices at an average of $3.80USD/gallon, then this trip will cost cost roughly $60K in fuel. This big bitch is going to suck back $1,450/day in fuel! I hope everybody doesn't mind eating KD for 41.5 days lol

      Just wait till you go to the station and fill it up. Cost you about £112,000 if you fill it up in the UK.

    • @kevinz8930
      @kevinz8930 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@tyoung9012 your math is quite correct. Would cost considerably more if you were to fill it up today in the UK. UK diesel price is equivalent to about $8 a gallon us. About £112,000. I could just picture myself doing what I used to have to do when we were teenagers. Ask everybody who wanted to go cruising around with me for the night to pitch in for fuel. ☺☺☺☺

    This is, without ANY doubt, the most interesseting layout of any yacht I've seen so far!!! For a private yacht, I wouldn't expect as many guests, as Numarine did. So, I'd sacrifice some guests cabins for more storage (like cooling, toys, waste storaging etc.) or making guests cabins a little bit more spacious.
    In any other aspect: best yacht so far!

      This one has great potential, but I would want a totally different layout and decor. Larger cabins for captain and crew for sure, I would get rid of the stairs on the side deck and I hate the lighting. I would go with all recessed LED lighting.

    Let me start with the fact that for the Italian Superyacht builders €12.000.000 would be a price for well equipped 100' (30 m) superyacht. It is true that Italian design is something special but Numarine as other Turkish shipbuilders are demonstrating huge leap forward in design, quality of production and selection of materials. It is certain that with this course of quality and design they will start heavily to cut into western Superyacht pie. Well done so far and go on for the benefit of all. And at the end, thank you very much Hugo for giving us this opportunity to enjoy in your concise and well done presentation. On that note a small critics that next time when such a beautiful superyacht has a bunch of beautiful girls roaming all over the yacht ir would be appreciated to admire their design and quality of build for few seconds more just enough for eyes nerves to relax from the strain and stress. Well done Hugo, thank you.

      @darthkek1953 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@clifbradley I think 12 applies to charter or private, it's a safety regulation and if you go over you can risk prosecution by the flag state, port state, plus you might not be insured.
      Oh, and for vessels with larger crews, the chef is only there for the guests. There comes a point where the crew have their own cook.

    • @clifbradley
      @clifbradley 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was yacht crew. I think you might be misled. The only time we ever cooked our own food was by choice, or when the boss took his smaller yacht, a 25 meter to Grenada and Antigua. Even then,, we normally went ashore every night and rarely cooked on our own. A stewardess that had culinary training went with us though in case we were cruising and had to eat on board. When I crewed smaller boats like fishing boats, we cooked our own food out on the grill, or the owner would cook for us because these people were rich, but not that rich amd there were only 2 or 3 of us. And I have worked on boats where the chef was such a big deal, they slept in a stateroom. They slept updeck as it's called. This is the boss's private chef usually, or it's a high profile chef staying on for a limited stint or rotation. Thise cases, a crew chef was brought on board. That chef didn't make crew food. And I've been on boats where the 2 stewardesses slept in the room with 2 twin beds because the family wanted them close for things. Usually it was when they both had child care training and were responsible for getting up with the children, or if the owner was in one part of the wold but did business in another and kept odd hours, a stewardess was nearby for anything they needed without having to call or buzz for them to come up. Including cooking. Usually, you don't have time to cook your own food. Part of the contract you sign is that your meal will be provided to you at the expense of the owner of the vessel and you are provided 2 meals per day. Whether that is a chef cooking for you, or getting food brought in from land someplace. If you were in port, you were free to leave at mealtime with the captain or another officer's permission or a department head/purser. This meal was a covered cost and would be charged back against the boat if it was a port servicing restaurant, meaning it was charged to the port who charged to the berthing fees. This is super common in France and parts of Italy. 12 guest rule is a charter rule. But if you have your boat set up as a Passenger Yacht or Solas boat you can have up to 36 provided you have the right equipment. A private yacht, not for charter can carry as many people as it wants. This is a common myth that a private not for charter yacht is limited to 12, but that is actually not true. I worked on boats that had 18 people on board. Back to chef's though, 12 plus 8 is the general accepted rule. It's called the 20 rule. 12 guests plus 8 crew. Once you get into 10 crew and 12 guests, you start to need a crew chef. This can be an actual chef, or a stewardess or stew with culinary training. The chef is always available for guests, but the crew make the boat run. Both are important. Both need food. Most crew meals are buffet style meals. Guests get the fancy meals. If you have a crew chef though you can sometimes get the fancy meals or even a 'quickfire' meal. Having a crew chef, whether an actual chef or a stewardess and getting individual meals is huge for morale and keeps a crew longer. Fastest way to lose crew is being a jerk amd being cheap at the same time, and getting garbage food. You are working your ass off in the heat or in the cold, constantly working for hours. Sometimes at sea for days. Food is your only comfort. You get bad food because the chef doesn't care, you start looking for a new boat. Captain's won't put up with that either. They'll tell an owner that chef has to go if the chef can't improve.

    If only……😢

    • @jacobyrassilon
      @jacobyrassilon ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, it's all a matter of perspective.
      Sure, it's 13.22 million usd, and if you add operating costs at 20% (which is a safe bet at current food and fuel prices) of the cost of the boat, which is another 2.7 million a year then you are right: that ain't cheap.....BUT you have a sauna, gym, 7 staterooms, 8 bathrooms (maybe more, I lost count), an outdoor Jacuzzi tub, massive formal and al fresco dining areas, room to put a 15 foot boat and two huge jet skis, and probably several mountain bikes/mopeds, and more laundry/refrigerator appliances than you can shake a stick at. Now compare that to a terrestrial home/mansion on the coast and it probably averages about the same.
      Oh, and don't forget the most important selling point: You can't pick up your mansion and move it across the world in a few weeks, whereas with this you can. And your backyard just happens to be the world's oceans. Granted, 3 million dollars a year is steep, but let's be for real....if you can buy this boat, then you can probably afford the operating coast quite easily. Plus you could charter it when you don't use it to help offset the costs.

    That is a superb boat, by any measure. May I air one gripe? You need to move away from ‘master’ and referring to the captain as ‘he’ . ‘Principal’ cabin and just ‘the captain’ will avoid bloody annoying a good number of people. No need to be a Wokahontis about it; just remember that boats are owned and skippered etc by woman. Also ‘duel sinks’ rather than ‘his & hers’. Again saves annoying many people. Selling is about appealing and smoothing feathers not ruffling them. Just a thought from an old has-been boat owner.
