congratulations, you have just discovered the best band on the planet ! 😀 metal + grace + elegance + beauty + sympathy + great musicians + great songs = LOVEBITES !!!
I just had the privilege of seeing Lovebites twice in the space of a fortnight in London and they were awesome. This song is really a crowd pleaser that they use to hype up the fans. Everybody went mental when they played this London.
LOVEBITES are elite musicians. They are probably the most musically talented metal band to appear in the last 20 years. Their style has been described a love letter to 1980s classic metal.
Welcome to a metal world of positiveness - never destructive but always inspiring bottom-up. Exactly what's required to prevent the world from sinking in Dystopie. . . .
"Raise some hell" is one of their few purely happy and engaging songs - others are "Stand & Deliver", "Don't Bite The Dust" and the very recent "Unchained". They usually play more "epic" and heavy songs, mostly in the power or even thrash metal genre. So this song was a good introduction but only gave you a glimpse of their huge talent. I saw them in Belgium six weeks ago, frontstage, and it's my concert of the year - they are that good on stage! And lovely unpretentious people backstage too. About the guitarist you noticed the most: it's Miyako, she's the main (but not only) composer, and she has a solid bag of surprises for you (check their song "Swan Song - with Chopin intro - 2020 and you'll see what I mean).
Enjoy the rabbit hole you’re about to jump down! They are amazing, I love them :) Oh, and Miyako playing the Les Paul is also a classically trained pianist, check out their song Swan Song with the Chopin into - it’s astounding
Lovebites have become my favorite metal band of all time - they bring back a sound I have not heard for some 30 years... their influences are 80s thrash and 80s / 90s power metal. In some songs they go full on thrash like Thunder Vengeance, Set the World on Fire, Break the Wall, M.D.O., Dissonance, other songs are more classic power metal and VERY 80s Iron Maiden like The Crusade, Golden Destination and their newest song, Unchained. Some songs even sound quite Motörhead-like (Stand and Deliver for example) Please check out more, they are incredible.
Their entire catalog is a hommage to 80 early 90 metal. The main influences are iron maiden, priest, testament, mettalica, slayer, megadeth etc. One of the best metal band in the world in my opinion. Love these ladies 🤘🔥
All the music I like, I guess that's why I liked the song. Someone said why wasn't I bobbing my head to the music, and it was because I was just surprised and impressed and enjoying what I was hearing and seeing.
10:30 " I like this guitarist here" Join the line, ur not alone.....That,s Miyako, One of the best music geniuses in the world right now, u will soon understand if u continue to react to them.
Well, welcome to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. Your face said it all, just jaw dropping. Yes, these Japanese women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional musicians. Some people say that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is primarily a concert level classical pianist. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just seven years. Their main influences are Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Angra, Slayer, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen, Pantera, Dokken, Gary Moore, etc., but they have been developing their own and unique style. Miho (former bassist and founder of the band) once said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. They toured Asia and Europe in 2018-2019. They toured the UK in 2019 opening for Dragonforce. Miho left the band in August 2021 and Fami was hired in October 2022. They have about 60 songs in their catalog. They just finished their 2024 European tour. This song is for them just having fun. For heavy stuff I recommend “The hammer of wrath”, “Judgement day”, “Set the world on fire”, “Thunder vengeance”, “MDO”, “Break the wall”, “Shadowmaker”, “When destinies align”, “Winds of Transylvania”, “Above the Black Sea”, “Under the red sky”, “Holy war”, “Scream for me”. For a different side of them: “Chopin etude + Swan song”, “Liar”, “Glory to the world”, “Frozen serenade”, “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”, “Spellbound”, “Dancing with the devil”. All live
Someone said why was I not headbanging to this song and it was as you said, I was transfixed from start to finish. Looking forward to hearing more. thanks for your message.
Thank you for your reaction. As much as my musical journey at this point is with Band Maid, and I’m not a metalhead, the fact is that my most played song 2023 was Wicked Witch and that is a song by Lovebites. My subjective list of masterpieces, on top of many great songs, includes Swan Song, A Frozen Serenade and Shadowmaker so I hold their song writing in very high regard. So much so that when they came to Europe I really had to go and see them at Roskilde. I trust the wolfpack to guide you and have fun! :)
Much respect to you for not getting into a band war and praising Lovebites. Band-Maid and Lovebites are the cream of the crop in rock and metal out of Japan.
Welcome to the world of Lovebites music! If you like old bands (you mentioned Def Leppard), if you like thrash metal, power metal, Lovebites is for you! This band will never disappoint you! All their songs are really different. They are always (almost always) dressed in white. The main feature that can hook a fan of old metal is the amazing long guitar solos. Both guitarists play the rhythm section and the solo. All their songs are amazing, but I recommend listening to their live songs "Holy War" and "Set the World on Fire" from their official TH-cam channel. You will be impressed! Thank you for your reaction! Welcome to the WolfPack! More Lovebites on the channel!
Welcome to Lovebites! This is a fun crowd hype/participation song from the Ladies! Trust me this just the teaser. you're in for a serious ride! Welcome to the wolfpack! 🤘🐺
Midori and Miyako are one of the best dual lead guitarists in metal music today! Asami: lead Vocals, piano, The one and only voice Haruna: Drums, co-founder of LOVEBITES, Little BIG Engine Midori: Guitars, backing vocals, Crazy Shredder Miyako: Guitars, keyboards, piano, backing vocals, main composer and arranger, The Golden Touch Fami: Bass guitar, backing vocals, Shining Fingers MIHO: Former member and co-founder of LOVEBITES, Bass Guitar, backing vocals, composer
Finally! You have discovered the Lovebites! This is a funny song, but these ladies can hit you harder: check out "Break the wall", "Set the world on fire" and "The hammer of wrath" for heavier and thrashier live performance. To have a complete idea about what this band can do check out "Holy war", their more known live track (LIVE 2020), or the music video "Judgment day" (their latest album) and "Shadowmaker". For more recent releases on their YT channel, there are the latest music video "Unchained" and the more recent live video "We are the resurrection". I'm glad you can react to this amazing band, and thank you for your excellent job.
LOVEBITES is doing their most important concert ever at Tokyo Garden Theater in a month, the 1st of september it is. Maybe you are lucky and can go too 🤣
The dark haired guitarist's name is Miyako and got her name in the band The Golden Touch. The other blond guitarist is Midori and called The Crazy Shredder but I want to call her The Sonic Daemon.
Welcome to the realm of the Wolfpack (Lovebites fans from around the world) ! This song is the most metal way to introduce the band. These amazing ladies play a seamless and innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/heavy metal/power ballads which makes their sound unique and contemporary. You have barely scratched the surface as Lovebites have a current catalogue of about 60 original songs which none is bad. As you have just witnessed, this band is phenomenal LIVE ! For a thrashier tone, check out "The Hammer of Wrath" LIVE on their official YT channel. BTW, Lovebites will be performing at the Tokyo Garden Theater on September 1. You can bond with your students and attend the concert with them. Enjoy your Lovebites journey !
They are no gimmick, trust me. Yes, influenced by 80s metal. My take: the best elements of great 80s bands infused with 1k # of Plutonium (Lovebites music). The journey into this rabbithole is so worth it. ELITE musicIan's with a new bassist, Fami. 🤘
This is just a fun rock song instead of the heavy metal, power metal and thrash metal they usually play! 🤘 Next LOVEBITES song: “Set the World on Fire” Live! And get your mind blown when Midori and Miyako go into harmonized pick tapping! 🎸🔥🎸🔥🤘
All 5 ladies are top tier musicians as individuals, and as a band they become, what most would see as, a once in a lifetime phenom. Now you've entered the wolves den be ready to have your mind blown time after time. Every song is either good, great or just another one of their masterpieces, of which they have many. Great reaction and enjoy your journey. 🤘🎤🎸🎹🐺🇬🇧
Congratulations you’ve just discovered one of the finest metal bands on the planet today. they are all super talented musicians. Check out Hammer of Wrath, Holy War, Set the World on Fire. They recently played Hellfest on the same day and Stage that Metallica then played on. USA for them on September
About the white clothes: the group's symbol is the white wolf. Their fanbase is called Wolfpack. The concept is that they feel rare in the current metal scene as the white wolves are rare. They also want to separate the metal style from the most common stereotypes (black leather dresses, tattoos, violent attitudes) with their elegance and femininity.
Welcome to the realm of the beautiful metal music of Lovebites! A phenomenal band. The best duet guitarist that shreds synchronized, best bassist, power drumming and powerful operatic vocalist. All their songs were damn good and they are better on stage. Dig more and you will get amazed everytime🤘👍
I could tell by your smile that you genuinely loved the band. Lovebites is a phenomenal band that few people in the west know about. This is one of their high energy songs. They have songs heavier than this, drawing influences from Iron Maiden and Megadeth. They chose white to stand out and to be different. They sing all of their songs in English despite no band members speaking English fluently. Midori (blond) and Miyako (brunette) form one of the best guitar duos in heavy metal, past or present. Next song, one of their newer songs with their new bass player, Fami. Start with Judgement day.
Most of their songs are outstanding, especially for us older metal heads who remember the 80s. This song is perfect for driving (too) fast. I tend to put my foot too heavy on the gas pedal but this song is perfect for driving. Genre-wise I'd say this is one of their 'nicer' songs. They have a few pure thrash as well as powermetal and whatever you could wish for. Live are usually best.
Welcome to the World of Lovebites, they have lots of brilliant songs. Look for the other ones. For example Edge of the World, Set the World on fire, Frozen Serenade, Swan Song with Chopin Intro, Judgement Day, We the United, and, and, and .....................
Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world will be along to give you information and recommendations. Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, and Haruna, Drums, who are former members of Destrose, a band that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. She is the bassist in this video. The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior' Miyako, Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. the 'serious' one with long black hair. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was about 16. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. If you enjoyed this song, here are a few recommendations for further listening. Break The Wall, Holy War, Rising, Thunder Vengeance, M.D.O., Scream For Me (live from 'Daughters of the Dawn, "OK Haruna, Give me the beat") Swan Song with the Chopin introduction played by Miyako, Winds of Transylvania (written for a Japanese Anime series VLADLOVE) Frozen Serenade, Edge of the World, Epilogue. There are many more I could suggest, but this should give you an idea of their range. The Wolfpack will have more suggestions. I would suggest watching live performances wherever possible. The ladies really shine on stage. I have been to London twice recently to see them during their just concluded European tour. I have been a fan of Rock and Metal music right from the beginning with bands like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, Lovebites are amongst the best I have ever seen. Enjoy your journey 🐺🤘
To be fair, it should be said that LOVEBITES was created by Miho. What is written in Wikipedia (the band was created by Miho and Haruna) is a mistake, not confirmed by anything (there is not a single link to the source of this information). When the creation of LOVEBITES was announced, Japanese music media wrote that "Miho created her own Supergroup". This was Miho's band and therefore she was officially considered the leader of LOVEBITES the entire time (2016-2021) while she was in the band. If it were not for Miho's dream, LOVEBITES (with such a line-up) would not have existed at all. The musical concept, which originates from the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, white dresses, songs in English, the band's mascot Wolf, etc. - these are all Miho's ideas. In Japanese mythology, the Wolf (including the White Wolf, who is called 'Okami') is the messenger of the Gods (a manifestation of the divine), who helps people. The artwork (picture on the cover) for the first LP 'Awakening from the Abyss' (2017) - the Goddess in a white dress with the White Wolf, who stand on the ruins of the destroyed world and prepare to give life to a new world (the world of reborn heavy metal) - this was also Miho's idea. In general, there are many mistakes in Wikipedia articles about LOVEBITES. Sorry. Nothing personal.🤗
@@GrayFox14 I agree with you about the origin of Lovebites. I think some people assume the Miho and Haruna started Lovebites together since they were both in Destrose. Haruna, however, had not been in Destrose for a year when Destrose ended. Haruna was the first person Miho contacted about forming a band, but the idea for Lovebites came from the mind of Miho. There is a Metal Hammer article from late 2017 (after the release of Awakening From Abyss) that very directly credits Miho for starting the band. Miho is quoted in the article where she explains the vision she had for Lovebites - a vision that very much became reality.
@@GrayFox14 @danw6048 Thanks for the information guys. The last thing I want to do is pass on anything that is not accurate. I did know that Haruna had left Destrose before the band broke up, but I was under the impression that Miho and Haruna had got together to jointly form Lovebites. I think it would be right to say that Haruna was the first to join Miho in the new band ? I will amend future posts I do on Lovebites to reflect this 😀🐺
@@tonym480 Thanks for understanding me correctly. This was not criticism. You wrote a very good post that gives people who are not familiar with LOVEBITES useful information about this unique band. 👍I just clarified one point.😊 You are right, Haruna was the first one Miho invited to her new band. The rhythm section (drums & bass) is the foundation of the band. On the drums & bass, which create the rhythm, the "building" of the song is built. Haruna and Miho played in DESTROSE, they felt and complemented each other perfectly as partners (drums & bass). Therefore, it is logical that Miho invited Haruna to take the place of the drummer in her new band.
Perhaps this information will be interesting. Chronology of events. In December 2014, during a DESTROSE concert, Haruna announced that she was leaving the band and leaving the music industry. Miho continued to play in DESTROSE until the last day of the band's existence. In July 2015, DESTROSE gave their last concert and announced that they were taking a break from their activities. In fact, the band ceased to exist. Miho began collaborating (in 2015 - 2017) with other metal bands as a support (guest) musician: ESTRELLA, MOTH IN LILAC, COMA COUNTESS. In late June - early July 2016, Miho announced her new band. which consisted of 4 people: Miho, Haruna, Midori and Asami. At the time of the formation of the new band, Miyaka (Mi-ya) was a support musician. She became a permanent member of LOVEBITES only in August 2017.
I think, that's the first time, I've seen someone starting with "Raise Some Hell", which is in a way a "fun song". Interesting, but why not. Solid introduction to a wide field of awesomeness on the field of Thrash Metal, Classic Metal, NWOBHM, Power Metal, inspired by the best of 80s and 90s, 100% in English, by 5 elite musicians, the guitarists Midori & Miyako (M&M) being one of the best guitar duos ever, their colors being white and gold, as a "Lone Wolf" in the Metal World, their fan base is the Wolfpack (expect some thousand views within a short time). LOVEBITES has about 55 own songs (all English, all really good), 5 songs currently in the making (new EP on August 28th, 2024), their three covers being "Painkiller" (Judas Priest), "Eagle Fly Free" (Helloween), and "Love Bites (So Do I)" (Halestorm). This is a deep and worthy rabbit hole. Enjoy your ride!
„Raise some hell“ is a very good and fun song, but one of their least spectacular ones I would say … Their main influences indeed are the big metal bands from the eighties, like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Metallica, but also even older rock bands and musicians like Deep purple, Brian May, Gary Moore and also classical music. The black haired guitarist you liked, her name is Miyako, is also a very skilled classical pianist and their main composer. By the way, she is my favorite musician on this planet and I stood one meter in front of her, when they played in Germany this June 😊
LB was founded by Miho/bass who wanted a more European sound in J/Metal, sung in English and had the members dress to proudly display their femininity while on stage. Insane talent and 1st all female Japanese band to play at Wacken Open Air as well as claim Hammer's best new band award. This is the early sound and they have evolved blending metal, classical influences and other elements into a wide variety of music that is awesome especially since they play it better LIVE. You don't listen to LB you experience them. They are petite musicians who turn into metal goddesses when on stage. Anything LIVE by this band will be exceptional and they will surprise and NEVER disappoint, that guarantee comes from the Wolfpack (fan base) who are rabid for this group.
The opening song.....Thunder Vengeance....sets the pace for this show. This is a great show to watch from beginning to end. Just some info...Miho, the original Bass player and founder left the band in late 2021. Fami, the new Bass player joined in late 2022. Shows released on video since Fami: Knocken at Heavens Gate and soon to be released Memorial to the Warriors Soul.
welcome to the wolfpack. you just found the best metal band in the world!!!! she always sings in english. songs for you to listen to. SHADOWMAKER WHEN DESTINES ALIGN HAMMER OF WRATH SOLDIER STANDS SOLITARILY SET THE WORLD ON FIRE just a few for you you will be BLOWN AWAY!!!!!! NICE REACTION HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
Thanks for the reaction. LOVEBITES is a heavy metal band that mainly plays speed, thrash, power, progressive, neoclassical metal. LOVEBITES often mix these genres in their songs. Some of the band's songs contain elements of hard rock (for example, in 'Raise Some Hell') or symphonic metal. At concerts, the band also plays classical music (piano) or adds it to metal songs. The lyrics of LOVEBITES songs are usually serious. But Asami (lead vocals, piano, the main author of the band's lyrics) wanted a cheerful song, with frivolous lyrics. And the song 'Raise Some Hell' appeared. The song 'Raise Some Hell' LOVEBITES performed at concerts in 2020 (Japan Tour). And it was # 5 in the concerts tracklist
They've certainly cast a spell over me, can't stop listening. Not since 92, upon discovering Megadeth have I become so completely engulfed by a band. 🏴🤘
This was the song that made me first fall in love with them. But now, they have so many other great songs, I barely listen to this one any more. And you are right. It's probably one of their more simple songs. Especially lyrically. I think every song but one is song in English. Some, you can make out the words better. Dosn't bother me because I don't listen to this music for the lyrics. LOL. The singer Asami, actually lived in the states for awhile. I think she has an R&B background. This song does not do her voice justice. Some of their other songs she can really belt the notes out. Judgement Day or the Hammer of Wrath for example. Especially live. What I love is I think the tallest girl is like 5'2". The singer and drummer are both less than 5 feet. Oh, they replaced the bass player Miho with Fami last year. Fami is only about 21. She NEVER stops smiling. This is Miho in this song.
Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already recorded 4 full length studio albums, in addition some EPs and Singles and a bunch of live albums, available on CD and DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They will be in the US for the first time later this year. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. A new EP and a live album will be released on august 28. The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames) Asami on vocals (the one and only voice): She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch): She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd Midori on guitars (crazy shredder): Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete Haruna on drums (little big engine): Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers): Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger): We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

The story that you told on a Japanese girl liking metal isn't surprising to me. Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater has said on a DVD that in Europe and the US it's all boys coming to see them for autographs, and fan-boying...but in Japan it's girls. And from all of the great women in metal/hard rock in Japan, makes sense. By the way, welcome to the Wolfpack!!! Lovebites songs are all in English on purpose. Just to give you a heads up on that.

The deeper you dive into Lovebite's music, the more different styles of metal you will hear.....from traditional 80's style metal to thrash, to power metal. In my humble opinion, they are the gold standard of metal music today. They are elite musicians but are also amazing songwriters and lyricists. I have been listening to them for about 4 years and cannot get enough. I have yet to hear a bad song.
The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows. ①Heavy metal (basic policy) ②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion) ③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.) ④High heels (to compensate for short height) The white costumes can be dyed in various colors by colored lighting. They wear white outfits and are lit up with colored lights that reflect the themes and genres of their lyrics. The white outfits have an advantage because LOVEBITES' songs incorporate different metal genres and there are many different aspects to their lyrics and music. Miho also thought about the visual on stage. Asami will modify stage lighting effects etc. on-site. For white costumes, each person requests their preferences and ideas from the costume staff.
The dark haired guitarist is Miyako, the genius of the group. She composes most of the songs, and is also a talented classical pianist, as you can see, for example, in "Swan song (with Chopin intro)" and "Frozen serenade", that are two of many masterpieces of the band...
I also believe that Miyako is a musical genius and a generational talent, but she has not composed most of the Lovebites. Although very close, she has composed less than half of the Lovebites catalog. Counting the new release Unchained but not counting any of the short instrumentals, the Lovebites catalog is up to 56 songs. Miyako has been involved in composing 27 of the songs, with all but 3 being her solo compositions.
@@aldomattera2043 If I have counted correctly, the "Sixth Member" Mao has been involved in composing 28 Lovebites songs, although only 8 have been his solo compositions. The only song in which they both have credit is Nameless Warrior. Other than that song, they have never composed together. That is why they have had a friendly rivalry since Lovebites started.
TBH - this is one of their lighter songs - they truly are a Metal band but with a subtlety and intricacy that you seldom see ( without losing the edginess ) . Miyako ( the guitarist you liked ) is a true musical genius - and I don't use that term lightly . She is a concert level trained classical pianist who decided at around 19 to teach HERSELF to play guitar ! She is also responsible for writing most of the band's music , and as you hopefully listen to more of their catalogue - which is well worth a deep dive - you'll understand the depth of talent and musicality they all have . ENJOY !
This group is Japan's gift to the world. Five cinderellas in high heels look good to eat, and play men from under their feet. An incredibly talented band.
Welcome to LOVEBITES, my favorite band and what could very well be yours soon as well. They are a throwback to 80's style of metal, which is what I like, and they do it with talent, skill and precision like no other. You have about 60 more songs to explore and all of them are excellent, enjoy the ride! 🤘🐺🤘
keep reacting to lovebites, and you will see that they are the best thing that has happened to metal in the last 20 or 30 years. Another band to follow is Nemophila, also a great band.
They insisted on English lyrics partly because Miho (bass), the band's founder and former leader, thought that English lyrics would be more advantageous for realizing his dream of "someday standing on the stage of WACKEN OPEN AIR" and also for performing overseas. The main reason, however, is that they grew up listening to the music of Queen, Halloween, and other foreign musicians, and English lyrics are the norm for rock/metal, and they feel uncomfortable with Japanese lyrics. In fact, Japanese pronunciation gives a soft impression and does not suit hard music. Therefore, even in J-POP, English lyrics are often added to the parts of the music where a strong impression is desired.
LOVEBITES are all English lyrics as far as know. Both guitarists are exceptional, Midori has some jaw dropping moments, Miyako with the dark hair is more interesting but less skilled. IMO which I shall probably be lynched for. 😜 Juxtaposition is the exact word and it’s completely deliberate - all these bands do it one way or another. If you haven’t heard of LOvEBITES I wonder who else you haven’t heard of? Aldious? (The OGs) Nemophila? Hanabie?TRiDENT? Band-Maid? Bridear? I mean there are a lot! LOVEBITES are top 5 which makes the top 5 a pretty special place to be.
Her name is Miyako and she's my favorite to watch too, and just an amazing player and composer. Plus she has the best nickname ever: The Golden Touch. I finally get to see them in September and also meet the band. I got a Lovebites tattoo, the wolf emblem from the opening of their Thunder Vengeance video, and just had to put some gold coloring in it especially for her.
The Golden Trio of Japanese All Female Bands: Band-Maid, Nemophila & Lovebites 🔥❤️ Crazy good bands all of them AND gladly so different 🔥 Band-Maid mixing all the genres, Nemophila playin trad metal with nuances of Nu-Metal and little punkish style too and Lovebites being closest to Golden 80’s era with Maiden, Helloween and slices of traditional Thrash etc..Lovin’ all three..In Lovebites..Miyako, black haired guitarist, has my heart ❤️ Nickname Golden Touch serves her well..She is multitalented genius. Lovin’ this song 🔥❤️🤘
Ah! I missed that you had not reacted to any Lovbites yet. So nice for you, having LOADS of nice songs you have noy jet heard. I checked, and you have not either reacted to Nemophila and Hanabie. OK - you have lots of good music coming in your near future! I wish I was you! Its long past midnight here, but let me sleep on what songs I shall recommend from those three bands.
Just wait till you see the songs with a piano intro. Just absolutely incredible that Miyako can play mistro level piano then just pick up the guitar and play. In one of the studio videos she plays piano ane gutair at the same time. Just so much talent.
Welcome to the wolfpack! You have found your way to one of the best bands today. This band has gotten even better. The new bassist Fami is incredible and only 20 years old. You should try to find a live song from 2023 or 2024 for the current line up.
Today, it's already 2 months ago, that I experienced them playing this live on their European tour. I don't know, where in Japan you are, but they have their main event (and only full set performance) in Tokyo Garden Theater on September 1st, 2024, with up to 8000 seats. If I understand them correctly, there are still tickets to purchase. As it is their main event 2024, they will probably make it the best show, including recording the whole stuff. In two weeks (August 28th, 2024), they release their last year's concert (Sep 24th, 2023) as "Memorial For The Warrior Souls", with 2 official live videos already on their channel. On the same day, they release a new EP with 5 new songs ("Unchained" has a OMV, "Soul Defender"s OMV was only shown once on Monday, we have to wait). After Tokyo, they have 4 dates in the US. Last weekend, they were in Korea. Busy people!
What a way to be introduced to Lovebites. That famous quote: "You ain't see nothing yet!" Is totally apt. Lovebites, have a way of weaving different genres of metal into their songs. It is not an exaggeration to say you ill be a Wolf Pack member, by the third song.
You’ve hit the jackpot…these ladies are the cream of the crop. Fun song but not one of their best. Her singing in English is generally very good but not perfect on this recording. Dig deeper, you are in for bigger surprises.
You have no idea what you are about to get into. This is probably the simplest of their songs - it gets a whole lot more complex and impressive from here on in :) Maybe try Set the world on fire (live) or Break the wall (live) next
Thanks for the info! 🙏Thanks to you I just watched 'Official Aftermovie'. Great video! 👍Seeing JUDAS PRIEST dancing on stage to LOVEBITES' 'Raise Some Hell' ....... is worth a lot! 😊
@GrayFox14 I think it's quite an honor for for the ladies to have their music used as a "Theme" song for the festival!. I would like to see the Wolfpack invade that video and show their appreciation 🤘🐺🤘
@@guitarzen5999 You are right! 👍I thanked 'Rock Imperium Festival' in the comments. I wonder if the ladies know that their song became the main theme song for the video 'Official Aftermovie'?🤔
@GrayFox14 I'm sure they do, Rock Imperium had to have permission to use it in the video, so they would have had to clear it with management/record label and I'm sure the ladies were told as well.
Oops, how could that have slipped under my radar? 🙈😇 Your first impressions are pretty accurate, but don't think these ladies are predictable. :) Maybe a little, but they have some surprises in store or in their catalog that I consider masterpieces of the metal genre. They have different influences, endless talent and creativity.... My favorite way to describe these ladies is with the following words: In the past, the metal gods usually appeared before us dressed in black and sometimes looking really questionable. Today they honor us in the form of 5 beautiful young ladies, dressed in white and heels. 😌🤘🏻 And I dare to predict that the guitarist who impressed you, Miyako, has a damn big potential to give you quite a few goose bumps down the road. Together with Midori, she forms perhaps the best guitar duo of this generation, at least for me. Welcome to the wolf's lair and I'm really looking forward to accompanying you also on this journey of discovery. ☺🙏🏻 _____________________ _"America invented rock. England improved it. And now, Japan has perfected it."_ Band-Maid | Gacharic Spin | Lovebites | Nemophila | East of Eden | Hanabie | Asterism | Trident | NEK! | Hades | etc.
@@JohnnyReacts1 No, that was a poor choice of words on my part. What I meant was that there are people out there who, after one song, think that's all they have to offer. But I know you're not one of them, so my wording was not only incorrect, but also unfair, for which I apologize. 🙈🙏🏻
congratulations, you have just discovered the best band on the planet ! 😀
metal + grace + elegance + beauty + sympathy + great musicians + great songs = LOVEBITES !!!
Wolf Pack 🐺🌙 from 🇺🇸...
Exactly what's required to prevent the world from sinking in Dystopie. . . .
The Goddesses of Heavy Metal! The band with 0 bad songs. 🤘🏻🐺
Lovebites The Queen of Metal 🤘
Enjoy the rabbit hole you’re about to jump down!
They are amazing, I love them :)
Oh, and Miyako playing the Les Paul is also a classically trained pianist, check out their song Swan Song with the Chopin into - it’s astounding
@@JohnnyReacts1that's alright. It's hard to bob when your jaw is on the floor 😁
And they have many amazing songs to start their concerts! :)
Thank you for your message, looking forward to hearing more.
Welcome to Lovebites! This is a fun crowd hype/participation song from the Ladies! Trust me this just the teaser. you're in for a serious ride! Welcome to the wolfpack! 🤘🐺
Welcome to the world of LOVEBITES...THE ANGELS OF HEAVY METAL...
Midori and Miyako are one of the best dual lead guitarists in metal music today!
Asami: lead Vocals, piano, The one and only voice
Haruna: Drums, co-founder of LOVEBITES, Little BIG Engine
Midori: Guitars, backing vocals, Crazy Shredder
Miyako: Guitars, keyboards, piano, backing vocals, main composer and arranger, The Golden Touch
Fami: Bass guitar, backing vocals, Shining Fingers
MIHO: Former member and co-founder of LOVEBITES, Bass Guitar, backing vocals, composer
Thanks for the info!
Thank you for your message, this made me smile!
LOVEBITES is doing their most important concert ever at Tokyo Garden Theater in a month, the 1st of september it is. Maybe you are lucky and can go too 🤣
That's an extraordinary story to Japanese Metal!
The dark haired guitarist's name is Miyako and got her name in the band The Golden Touch. The other blond guitarist is Midori and called The Crazy Shredder but I want to call her The Sonic Daemon.
Thank you!
Thank you for your message and yes I believe I will enjoy listing to more.
Next LOVEBITES song: “Set the World on Fire” Live!
3:39 Damn right thats our princess!
good good , this song is their "fun" one , most of their songs are far more serious , technical complicated and heavy , they are an amazing band
Two things:
1. This band is taking over the world.
2. You just found your new favorite band. 😆
Wolfpack is here for LOVEBITES! 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
There is also the fact that they're petite and wearing white makes them easier to spot on a stage. 🙂
Thank you!
Yes all their song are in english , yes this is their more simpler song try Judgement Day live next. 😉
They have one in Japanese, written by Haruna. First version of Bravehearted.
...you ain´t seen nothing yet - the lovebites rabbit hole goes very deep and it usually melts brains ...dive right in !!!!
Looking forward to it!
The present members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker.
Midori, ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'
Miyako, Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. the 'serious' one with long black hair.
Thank so much for the info on the band, and recommendations I enjoyed reading this!
👍I just clarified one point.😊
You are right, Haruna was the first one Miho invited to her new band.
„Raise some hell“ is a very good and fun song, but one of their least spectacular ones I would say …
Their main influences indeed are the big metal bands from the eighties, like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Metallica, but also even older rock bands and musicians like Deep purple, Brian May, Gary Moore and also classical music.
The black haired guitarist you liked, her name is Miyako, is also a very skilled classical pianist and their main composer. By the way, she is my favorite musician on this planet and I stood one meter in front of her, when they played in Germany this June 😊
Welcome to the WOLFPACK FAMILY,LIVEBITES RULES!!!🐺🤘❤️🔥
Someone give this TH-camr a little push. He's just about to fall down the rabbit hole, lol. 🤘
lol love this message.
I would say a wolves den
Thanks for the message and info!
The opening song.....Thunder Vengeance....sets the pace for this show.
This is a great show to watch from beginning to end.
Just some info...Miho, the original Bass player and founder left the band in late 2021.
Fami, the new Bass player joined in late 2022.
Shows released on video since Fami:
Knocken at Heavens Gate and soon to be released Memorial to the Warriors Soul.
Since you love Def Leopard, I am surprised you didn't mention the song by them Love Bites. :)
Before the recording I thought I had to mention that, then when I finished I realised I didn't mention that.

Thanks for the message and for the recommendations.
They only sing in English except for „Bravehearted“ which has a Japanese version as well.
Very cool.
welcome to the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful ballads, heavy, power, speed, thrash metal.
Enjoy the ride.Wolfpack coming😊
I will thanks!
Fami turned 22 this past June.
Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥
Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna.
The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames)
Asami on vocals (the one and only voice):
She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3
thank you for your service 🐺
Thank you so much for this message and information on the band!
LOVEBITES - Raise Some Hell lyrics:
Who is playing?Who’s that chick?Shredding on guitar
Who is playing?Who’s that chick?Heavy noise on bass
Who is playing?Who’s that chick?Pounding on the drums
Who am I?I’ve got a voice, it’s gonna knock you out
Blowing up a storm
Pick up microphone
Ready to depart for the battlefield
Ringing in my head
Burning in my soul
Crazy rock and roll, we’re ready to go
Let there be sound, be rock, come on now all together
It’s like a party everybody shout tonight
Let there be sound, be rock, come on now we are gonna stay free
This is time to rock yeah
Make some noise!Raise some hell!
Who will win?Who will lose?Claim the victory
Who will scream?Who will cry?We can all survive
Who will come?Who will go?Show me what you’ve got
Who will die?Who’s alive?OK, bring it on
Blowing up a storm
Pick up microphone
Ready to depart for the battlefield
Ringing tin my head
Burning in my soul
Crazy rock and roll, we’re ready to go
Let there be sound, be rock, come on now all together
It’s like a party everybody shout tonight
Let there be sound, be rock, come on now we are gonna stay free

The story that you told on a Japanese girl liking metal isn't surprising to me. Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater has said on a DVD that in Europe and the US it's all boys coming to see them for autographs, and fan-boying...but in Japan it's girls. And from all of the great women in metal/hard rock in Japan, makes sense.
By the way, welcome to the Wolfpack!!!
Lovebites songs are all in English on purpose. Just to give you a heads up on that.
Thank you for your message

They are so great ! Try Holy War, Set The World On Fire or Hammer of Wrath live and you will be on your knees at their feet !
Best metal band to come along in decades. Midori and Miyako are among the best dual leads I've heard ever. Dive deeper, they just get ore impressive.
Miho Miho Miho!
Try shadowmaker, break the wall, under the red sky, today is the day all live...
They are the best.
The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows.
①Heavy metal (basic policy)
②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion)
③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.)
④High heels (to compensate for short height)
The white costumes can be dyed in various colors by colored lighting.
Thank you for your message and information on the band!
@@danw6048 I meant relatively to the other members of the group, not absolutely
ENJOY !
I will, thank you for your comment!
Check out Break the Wall for their thrashier side
This group is Japan's gift to the world.
Five cinderellas in high heels look good to eat, and play men from under their feet.

Lovebites is the number one girl band in the world.
Juxtaposition is the exact word and it’s completely deliberate - all these bands do it one way or another.
I have heard of Band-maid and done some reactions and heard of the name Nemphila, but not heard them perform, but that's it.
Thanks for the message!
Raise Your hands 🤘🏼 to the MAIDENS QUEENS OF HEAVY METAL 🤍🐺✨🤘🏼
Do you know this band??? Best metal nowadays ,dude. All knows and love this band ,omg...What's a dude....

What a way to be introduced to Lovebites. That famous quote: "You ain't see nothing yet!" Is totally apt.
Lovebites, have a way of weaving different genres of metal into their songs. It is not an exaggeration to say you ill be a Wolf Pack member, by the third song.
Looking forward to listing to more.
You’ve hit the jackpot…these ladies are the cream of the crop. Fun song but not one of their best. Her singing in English is generally very good but not perfect on this recording. Dig deeper, you are in for bigger surprises.
You have no idea what you are about to get into. This is probably the simplest of their songs - it gets a whole lot more complex and impressive from here on in :)
Maybe try Set the world on fire (live) or Break the wall (live) next
Wolfpack, go over to the Rock Imperium Festival 2024 official aftermovie video, you're going to like what you see and hear!🤘🐺🤘

Your first impressions are pretty accurate, but don't think these ladies are predictable. 😌🤘🏻
And I dare to predict that the guitarist who impressed you, Miyako, has a damn big potential to give you quite a few goose bumps down the road. Together with Midori, she forms perhaps the best guitar duo of this generation, at least for me.
Welcome to the wolf's lair and I'm really looking forward to accompanying you also on this journey of discovery. ☺🙏🏻
