One of the alltime favorites, written for the 1986 Soccer World Championchip. It is still sung by fans in football stadiums today. That was a great moment at the concert. But it's not quite the end yet, there's another song coming.I stood in the middle and believe it or not peeing was actually possible, it was a fifteen minute walk.
Man, I've been there. 2 days on the first weekend, 100,000 fans each show. On the second day, Stephan announced that those "crazy fans" who were on both shows will get free tickets for a show the following weekend. So me and my buddy been there a third time 😉 The song itself is written for the soccer world cup in Mexico back in 1986, and it got a very self-ironic touch. Essentially they're saying that crazy soccer fans (like they were at that time) would do anything to be in the stadium. It's an all time favorite song for the crowd which you can tell by the call-response-game before the band is playing it ("What do you wanna hear?" - "MEXICOOO!") Even I party with the rest of the crowd, although I don't like soccer at all 😂
The germans went to the finals vs argentina and lost 2:3 4 years later in Italy (every 4y world championship) germany played in the finals, again vs argentina and won 1:0 🎉 we rewatched the final at school in the spanish class in 1986🙂
Hi, I happened to find your video. First respect. I am an Onelz fan and can answer your question why the boys are called "Böhse Onkelz": In 1980 the boys were on a skiing holiday when a mother came with her daughter and saw the boys, the now, not necessarily one of the people who were on vacation in st. Moritz, mean rich people :-) So the daughter looked at the band and asked the boys, hey are the Böhsen Onkelz :-) This is how the band was created
Das war der schwerste und schlimmste Tag meines Lebens, seine Freunde können es bis heute nicht fassen das er nicht mehr da ist. Und ich sitze in einem Tränen Meer.
I don't know if you know what they went through in the last 40 years. Don't know exactly but they started around 1980 as a "kinda" punk and skin band. No good choice cause they were called a Nazi-Band and not considered the guys you want to invite to parties. And, believe me or not, you're fucked up having this image in Germany ! I don't think their songs ever were played in the (local) radio stations, TV shows or even MTV (not without a reason there's the track "no amnesty for MTV" !). I was raised with that music and I witnessed more than I like to remember (Trimmi, 6-16-90). But what I NEVER EVER will forget is the time in the eighties I grew up in/with. Hanging round in the area known as the Frankfurt party zone and being friends with all of them, the bar next door, "Alabama", where all the GIs from the AFB Wiesbaden went to have the hell of a good time at the weekend . . . I wasn't that kinda familiar with Onkelz these days but now I carry them deep within my heart. F*** you can't tell that story to a guy that doen't share the same memories ! He might never understand. BUT ! Remember the NO AIRPLAY I mentioned above ? Look at them now ! They fill stadiums with people with their open air concerts over 2 or 3 days and they got close to a MILLION visitors in Hockenheim, Lausitzring (both Formula 1 race tracks) and if you would have told that to the so called eighties "managers" that banned them, their answer would have been "kiss my hairy motherfuckin asshole, you're a freakin LIAR ! ! !" But I'm N.O.T. ! Let me end this post with kinda familair words to you. I'm proud to be a guy from Frankfurt, for at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the guys & guls these day they gave that right to me. Baron, PEP Cars V8 U.S. car club, Frankfurt Germany ONKELZ forever ! ! !

Onkelz waren mal echt klasse
" German Nazi Band " drawing more people in one concert than the Nazis could ever dream of ;-)))))
Ironi ich glaube.
