Dear Steve, I am following almost every snooker training course on the Internet. I find your honest and rich videos very useful and enjoyable. Thanks a million for the valuable videos.
Very good video, seldom see any snooker coaching videos that gives a walkthrough on the breakbuilding. Gives another perspective and insight from a better player and make me re-think my way of playing. You deserves more subscriber! Two Thumbs Up.... Need more of these videos!!!
Great video Steve, can you do a video solely focused on stun shots please. I struggle so much on these shots but u must say "I'll play a little stun shot" about 40 times in every video you do and these shots are what I'm missing to progress my break building
Thank you for the great video. I've watched lots of your videos and enjoyed the info each of them give. What I found interesting on this one was to see how you have to adapt to situations as you've made the shots and see where you end up with white. So even though you have a clear idea of what to try with each ball it doesn't always end up ideally and having backup options is always something to look out for.
Very good break .you are a very good player and always teach a new thing like use a chalk as a ball marker.I always fascinated about that device used by professional refrees. But now don't need of them..thank u
well explained ...if you would add a screen shot of the white ball and where you plan to hit it and at what speed and explained why ...that would be the max ...many thanks
Great to watch the thought process in shot selection. Very useful guide. Just wondering. Have you ever entered any tournaments? If so, would love to hear about what your experiences have been and what you've achieved in the game. No doubt that you've got enough talent to compete. Maybe a more personal video about you and your game for the future?
Hello. I love your video’s. They are great. I just bought the snooker table but it has bad cushions. Can you advise me what kind cushions should I buy and where because I live in USA and no one plays snooker here. Plus can you also advise me a good cue and what to look when buy 1. I hope you will see my comments and answer. Thanks
Hi. I have a more recent video about break building. "30+ beginner break building". On that video I have a graphic on screen showing where I am striking on each shot.
Great video. Really enjoy watching good players making breaks. Would have been more helpful if you’d explained what shot you decided on, stun, screw, etc and where you were hitting the cue ball to get the desired effect. I’ve just subscribed to your channel so looking forward to seeing more videos! Cheers.
@@BartonSnooker you have very good lighting over table like we see in international matches ..plzzz can you explain how good lighting is required in snooker?
Barton, do you have a video that explains where to hit the object ball to pot it using right or left hand side? This is still confusing to me. Thank you.....Sal : )
Great video I subscribed yesturday would like to know if u finish amhigh on the black if the red was in middle of table and last red say near pink on that line would u play top spin right hand side or left hand side depending what side of the table your on , or screw round the angles with side? What would u play my biggest break is 88 in match and had a few centuries practice im trying to improve my game and I mainly practice round the black spot . I break down only when lose position and sometimes not sure what shot to play this is one of those shots just wanted your opinion please ty
sir when we play in actual frame there is no shot which i played in practice in actual frame every thing is different but when i look ur video n other professional video i thought game is very simple bt isn’t
Hi. It is much easier to adjust the line the white takes by applying a bit of side, than it is to try and apply just a tiny amount of stun. If you don't judge the stun perfectly, you can end up too close to the side cushion or even cannon the reds. With a touch of side, the white always hit the same place on the top cushion, and then the side just changes the line it takes when it comes off.
Hi, think when you lost position at the end, if you've used side it gonna be more easier .. It s so hard for me to play when are people talking around the table and much harder if i talk.. so thankfull . thanks a lot for this video and the others, soo much you helped me.. good job coach👌
so sir wht i do i m getting frustrated when i play frame not getting break sir i thought that may b its very intial stage that i m doing only 20 days practice so frm this anlysing me is very early am i right pls correct me sir
Hello. You need to have a very good technique to play all the shots you see in this video very well every time. If you have have only been playing for a few weeks, it will take quite a bit more time yet before you have a very good technique that works consistently on every shot. Have a look at my other video on getting the basics right, and having a good pre shot routine. Good luck!
@@kirkmaciano the principal of thinking 3 shots ahead is very important, now obviously, if a red is in an awkward position, I can't possibly play for it so precisely that I land one side of it or another, so you play on to the red, so that you'll still have options depending on where you land. Break-building is very complicated and you'll never replace having someone explain principals to you face to face. But thinking 3 shots ahead is a main one and you should always try to do it. Obviously if I'm playing round off 4 cushions for the next ball, I can't choose whether or not I land high of low on the next ball lol
WOW! Just WOW. I am blown away. I wish Steve Barton was my coach!!
Thanks a ton Sir.. Its very impressive the way you detailed the thought process of break building..
Thank you for taking the time to share your snooker skills with all players.Keep up the good work.

Yes that's it. It's all about playing to percentages and giving yourself lots of options.

Could have punched the cue ball with left hand side top spin on the last black to force an angle for the red..
Make a vid on potting angles for begginers

You always tell us to think about 3rd ball placing but in the end of some shots you were trying to keep your cue ball over 2nd ball position.
Hi. I don't know what you mean?
@@BartonSnooker He meant that some of the shots you were only thinking two shots ahead instead of three

Easy as can be. If I ever reach a fraction of that level I can stop practising.
Cushin?
That was a little bit better than my 21 break🤣🤣
U are a pro... isn't it.....
