I’m trying to figure out what I want to go to school for because I’ve been getting the pressure put on me big time. I really don’t want to do something boring, I’ve always been very creative and artistic. This was really informative and helpful, thank you so much.
Christina you're so sweet! The way you deliver information is perfect. Specially for the part of the audience that might be hesitant, intimated, or overwhelmed by the idea of studying abroad. I'm loving this series & your charisma!
Thanks so much for watching! :3 If you have any specific questions I haven't answered yet, please feel free to ask them in the comments or on twitter/etc! :)
Thanks for sharing! It's so good this page not only have wonderful street fashion shoots but also cares to have vlogs as Cristina's and Ellanor's about differents topics related to fashion and living in Japan.
Can't wait for the next video! Really inspiring me since my interest increased the past two years. This is a lot of info that many of us appreciate. I have to get to a language school here. Wahh!!! ☆
Love your stories, you are very enthusiastic and full of energy. Your shirt was real cool too love the design pattern and color. Hope to see you one day when I visit.
i love the way you speak! everything is so clear and concise that my brain just absorbs every word. could you possibly touch up on your exp living in a guest house or share house? i'm not sure which is correct. thanks for making these informative vids! hope to see more :)
whoops! sorry for the reallllllly delayed response!!! i would love to hear your pros and cons and experiences! theres not many videos on youtube that shines light on guest houses ;-; most I've seen were private apartments house tours. also, thank you for all the detailed info on bunka. through your videos, I'm considering to apply for the next year. blerp, but... my japanese is totes not jlpt n2... yet ;-; i plan on moving to japan the end of the year to enroll in language school -crossing fingers- lawddd pls
Love the video, it's super informative. ^^I checked out the entrance information on Bunka's site after watching this, and it all seems quite doable, except for one thing. It says, "Applicants should have a reliable guarantor living in Tokyo or its vicinity willing to care for the student during his / her stay in Japan." Well, I don't know anyone in Japan, at all. :( And even if I did, I'm pretty sure we'd have to be quite close for me to impose on them for 3 years or however long I'd be there. What did you do for that, Christina?
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! :3 To be honest, getting a guarantor is the trickiest part about applying to any school in Japan (not just Bunka...) I ended up asking a friend to be mine... Honestly, providing you have a good attendance record and pay your fees on time, the school should have no reason to contact your guarantor, so it isn't really a huge burden on that person. But yeah, if you don't have someone who can act as yours the best thing to do would be to contact the school directly and ask how to procede. Hope this helps! :)
she seems kinda wealthy as she study at a university which is kinda epesensive and then studyed at jappen and also to rent a a place in Japan is very expensive, so you'll need quite abit of savings and some backup money incase it all goes down hill x
@@tjjaffacake first of all not all the places in tokyo are expensive to live in, and secondly not all the universities are expensive lmao... There are great literally free universities all over the world...
+Tokyo Fashion, All I want to know is how did you pay the tuition fee. Were your parents paying for you or are you doing some job to pay and how did you manage everything like taking Japanese language classes and your food and accommodation? I really don't know because my parents are paying right now for my graduation but it will only be me who will have to pay the fee for my higher education. I am a student studying Fashion Design at Pearl Academy, New Delhi, India. I want to study in Japan for my higher education!
Hi Christina! I just want you to thank you for posting this video! I'm a graduate student from my country's university as well, and at first I thought I should have some experience in fashion design (which I am not, but I was in visual design major) to entering bunka college. But, after watching your video, I feels like I'm not alone and should go for it instead! (lol) Anyway, did you take the scholarship program from MEXT? I wish I could discuss with you about enrolling in bunka because it would be nice to get an insider insight about the college :)) Best Regards, Fransiska
+Sailor Angel certainly there are several language schools which you can enroll for in Japan. But it's still advisable that you finish learning Japanese at least N2 in our home country. Cuz Japanese isnt easy to cope with at all, so learn it in your mother language will make it easier. More over, I think learning language in Japan, especially Tokyo will cost a fortune. You should consider it :)
How would you get the physical application that you fill out because on their website it’s more of documents about the school and I’m not sure about Bunka representatives in my area of Cali
waiting for the next part :3 i wanna know more..like is this something i could do etc. even though english is only my 2nd language :p but i guess u already have to live in japan ._.
Thanks so much for watching! :3 To be honest, most western foreigners at Bunka have English as a second language (not native), so it really shouldn't be a problem! Either way, classes are taught in Japanese, not English! It's easiest to apply from within the country, but it's still doable from abroad! :)
I have a question! I live in Germany, and I won't get an English A-Level ! Can I still apply to Bunka and language-School, or is an english exam necessery??? Please answer !!
hello Christina, i am from India and i want to study in Bunka fashion college. Can you please tell me what are the process i have to take to study there?
+ilov04 you can find detail information on Bunka website. It says that particularly in the entrance exam, there will be a writing essay task which is similar to N2 level. Then you'll take a group interview. I heard that Bunka's acceptance rate is about 97% so provided that you have a good command of Japanese, dont worry anyways
Hello Christina~~ When you went to language school, did you go there as a bloody beginner or did you already had some knowledge of japanese? And how is that school called you went to? Because I have always been interested in fashion and I still don´t know what to do in the future :) So in that 6-7 months what kind of stuff did you all learn? Sorry for asking so much xD You would be a great help ^-^
is fashion at bunka a two year program? also if i already graduated uni in america majoring in something else, do i just go straight to grad school? thanks ^^
thanks for sharing. you said there is some grad school where one can do masters. I am interested in doing masters in fashion and looking for some economical university with a good reputation. that is why considering japan. please help.
Ok, I have 2 questions: 1. would you think doing 4 years of Japanese language ( like a 1,2,3,and 4) class ( in a high school) would at least get you to level 2 in the language test?
depends on you , and how fast you can learn it everyone is different some people find it easy and are a key to learn other languages quickly where as other it's complicating and becomes a long process x
What do you recommend to tell for all girls around the world to get into Fashion School and what kind of experience do most girls get? Besides that is not really for guys to answer.
Michael Qing that's not fashion.... that's mostly about men's health... no, guys can apply for fashion design too it's not just a girl thing did you read the article about the dad who made his daughter's prom dress? frikken amazing article, loved it.
