I am like you and could not do title pages every month! I agree with you on Kingdom of the Cursed to be the best of the trilogy - the pacing was much better than the other two (I had to read 2/3 of the first to get fully invested!) and the character behaviour was more consistent. The third book was okay, the plot points were good but the character behaviour and plot twists seemed sudden/inconsistent. For a recommendation, I highly suggest We Hunt the Flame + We Free the Stars! A fantasy duology with a found-family trope, it's writing is also wonderful - on the lyrical side imo.
I'm so happy to see the Plated Prisoner series on there! It's such a powerful series and Slade is one of my absolute favourite romance interests! You have such a beautiful journal
Thank you so much! 😍 I read it in the beginning of last year and I agree it was a good series! 😊 It maybe wasn't AS good for me as the high raiting in Goodreads, but definitely a series I'd recommend for new-adult fantasy-romance fans!
Woooow ♡♡. Love it! May i ask where you found the washitape or border with the moon on the Kingdom for the Wicked pages? And the lavender stickers ? Looove those! I can also recommend the Stalking Jack the Ripper Series by Kerri Maniscalco!
It is from the Notebook Therapy Moonlit Alchemy washi tape collection! 😊 The whole set is so pretty! I think I've actually added that on my list already! I might start it this year 😊
If you want a standalone but are still interested in Sharon Kay Penman's Welsh Princes series, the first book Here Be Dragons (which is the best imo) can be read as a standalone. I'm pretty sure the other two can be as well, but it's been awhile since I read them.
I actually have these on my reading list for this year but had no idea that the first one works as a standalone too! Thank you so much for the recommendation! 🥰❤️
Thank you for sharing this flip through. I see so many videos of people setting up journals, but I rarely see how they look at the end of the year! I often wonder if people bother to use them, or if it's all setup and very little use. I was trying to find some sort of book journal in the store the past few days, but there was nothing. Very strange. It's better that way. The planners/journals I did see are ridiculously expensive. I have notebooks lying around here. I'm going to start small, by just keeping track of the books I read this year. Maybe someday I will work up to something as pretty as yours. The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to keep a record of your life, the books you've read, etc.!
Starting small and using a journal you already have is a very good idea! 😊 I must admit that my setups would be much simpler too, if I didn't make these videos, haha! Considering the current reading journal trend, I'd imagine there will be some book journals soon? But I'm very surprised to hear you couldn't find any!
hey hey, love you're inspirational video's as always! If you like Si-Fi fantasy romance, your can read the book series of Veronica Rossi (under the never sky, through the ever night, into the still blue). Loved reading this book series. So if you want read something that you have not hurt about or could be interesting I recommend that serie, I always love reading it. P.S I wish you a happy new year!
Your reading journal is beautiful :) If you like fantasy, I really recommend the Wheel of Time and The Malazan book of the Fallen (10 books),it's very long though (14 books), so it keeps you busy for a while. I'd also recommend the Passe-miroir series by Christelle Dabos (I don't know the English title but it's translated to other languages).
This is so beautiful and fun. I only read non-fiction so idk if I could make anything so gorgeous for what I read. The closest I get to something like this is adding books to my Goodreads Reading Challenge page lololol
Hahaha that's good too though! 😄 I rarely read non-fiction nowadays but if I did, I think my journal would be more designed for note taking than decorations, lol
This is the first time I've seen someone make quarterly front pages and honestly I think that's the best for me too! I read 1, max 2 books per month so making monthly cover pages just has no use for me either
Happy New Year’s! Luv your channel. It helps me so much with creativity. How did you make the book cover stickers?I would love to incorporate that in my journal
Thank you so much! 😍 Happy new year to you too! I made the book covers by first downloading the cover pictures from Goodreads (you can find a download option by clicking the cover images) and then I arrenged the pictures to one US Letter size sheet in Photoshop or Word and printed them on a white sticker paper 😊 I hope this makes sense!
Oh my goodness! How exciting to see you read one of my recommendations and enjoyed it! Yay!!! .... and how you felt about and described it is exactly what I thought too. 💜💕💜 #theretreat
Congrats and thank you for sharing this. I got only 20 of my 50 books goal read but I am not sorry:)We definitely have very different tastes in literature but that's one more reason to follow your channel. I was wondering if your own writing that you mentioned is fantasy or scifi? Just curious because I am "a desk drawer writer" myself.
20 is a huge achievement! 😊 My own writing is mostly romance or fantasy (and ideally both with a good adventure)! Ohh that's so cool! What style do you write? 😊
I use standard white sticker paper, but I think any white paper works if you're okay gluing them yourself! I use Adobe Photoshop but the same thing could be done in many other programs (like Word), so this expensive program is not one I'd recommend for only this purpose 😅
I litterally gasped how gourgous the 4th Quater looks like. Your artisic taste is breathtaking!
Thank you so much, dear! 🥰
Thank you for reviewing your reading journal.
Of course, thank you so much for watching! 🥰
Beautiful! Love your style and your hand lettering is gorgeous ❤

I had the exact same feelings about the third book! And thank you so much for the recommendation! 😍 Duologies are surprisingly difficult to come by!
You journal looks amazingly beautiful 😍.
Thank you for sharing & a very happy new yr 🎉x
Thank you so much! ❤️ Happy new year to you too!

@@JournalAway I've seen them in years past. It could be this particular art store was just out at this time.

I'm happy to hear that was helpful for you! 😊 I read about the same amount as you and it works perfectly (and takes some pressure off too) 😊

Thank you so much for the recommendation! It was exactly what I needed for the fall season! 😍 Haha funny to hear we had the same thoughts about it! 😊
I like to keep a record of books read also. Are you familiar with the book Soon by Lois Murphy? It’s a very engaging horror story. 👍👍
I'm not familiar with it but I'll look it up! Thank you so much for the recommendation! 🥰

What is the kind of paper that you print with the small covers of books and what program did you use for this ? I want to try it. Thanks
