This game actually looks like it could be really fun if it had the appropriate polish.
Yea I can see this being an absolute banger if it had the combat polish of Bdo and some acctual gamedesign backing it up.
The biggest reason devs don't like character customization like that is because it'd require them to make dozens of armors that all suit the different body types. With A.I now that's probably feasible.

I'd watch you play this as a series. Collecting every creature, learning every weapon type, making builds, making mansions, and Challenging npcs gets addicting very fast.

you seem to have completely missed the part where you can combine creature parts through devouring process :D aka all body parts are exchangable with other creatures pieces. that was like the most fun part for me when i used to play it ^^" it would even come with abilities like flight when they got wings

Unironically, this game was a hidden gem to me. Playing on the SEA and NA server openings were some of my favorite experiences

More like the madness of being bored of everything else. It didn’t take 100 hours to be fun, either. Even with that, a lot of the game is indeed scuffed as all hell.
@@tzunamy471 Some of the jankiest, weirdest and unfun games can be fun with the right people. Sometimes the people are what make the good times, not the game. I played Tera and that game sucks, but the people I played with made it tons of fun

To be honest, although glitchy and clunky and all over the place, it actually has some cool things and i found the race selection pretty unique
I’m downloading this right now and I’m aiming the be the #1 player in the world. I’m going to take this game by storm with my crayfish character. No one will be able to handle my pincer and tail whip attacks. Soon everyone will fear the crayfish army and we’ll take over the internet one MMO at a time and soon spill out into the real world once our technology catches up with humanity. You will rue the day you thought to catch us and take us out of our creeks and rivers, and we will be the one to eat you!

Theres some really cool stuff you missed out on.
Yes, you can not only fly high into the air but you can actually fly into outer space and even pand on the planets way up there. I built a home up there once it was cool.
There is gacha dig events and the big Prizes are these costumes the event is based on. Now these are the best done cosmetics ive ever seen, not because of the looks, but because they give unique animations and effects. I have pne based on the gods. Wearing the full set allowed me to do some cool animations, transform into the gods themselves, and even change the entire atmosphere for not only me but everybody around me. The gods one changes the sky and bgm making dragons appear, floating mystical looking things, rays of light and a massive temple. First time someone else did that i was like wtf is happening, woah!
Theres npc companions that you can gear up just like yourself. Yes there are p2w companions.
The chimeras can be made by devouring. For instance i have one of those underwater dinosaurs that swim with the long necks, but I gave it massive condor wings so it can fly now too. If you devour the right components to your horse then craft the pill you can make a pegasus which was very strong back then.
Theres more but ill stop there for now. I loved this game and wish a better company owned it to give it more love.

Ive put a good few hours into it but had no ide about planets. Are you serious? That's nuts, and idk why I'm surprised. It is one of the most wierdly engaging confusing games I've ever played.
I unironically thought that the race selector is very cool and unique. Imagine having that with just normal races and just tone it down a bit. It would be such a cool feature, cause almost every character in the world will look a little bit different.
The first time your horse attacked got me laughing for 10 minutes.

Later in the game, you can devour other animals/beast and add their body parts to your Chimera, so you can add wings to your horse and be able to fly. Its pretty damn good

Dude, this game has got serious potential. If a team of dev's that actually know what they're doing teamed up with the people making this game it could be a good MMO.

My first experience with this game as on Mobile, before you found it. Seems like its moved to PC as well. I agree with anything you said in your Pros and Cons. It's definitely a game that can provide some hours of enjoyment, but don't admit to ever playing it.
That horse jumping and diving in that mob had me laughing so hard...
I spent the first 5 hours of gameplay making my character. 10/10.

I played Chimeraland for several hours. It's a game that tries to be everything, but ends up being pretty much nothing.

The combat is somewhere between monster hunter and dynasty warriors and I kinda love it. The combination of features here are pretty close to my ideal MMO. But yeah, this is hella scuff land with every feature.
The open world creatures and their tamability are a pretty fun progression going from ground mounts, labor mounts, battle mounts to various levels of fly speed... Then going from grasslands, ... to space. The idea of this MMO is amazing, but it probably needed AAA backing to have any real chance to go anything beyond a really niche game. I had way more fun with it than I expected, it's definitely worth a fun romp if nothing else.

I think this game really captures the vibe of what we saw in the early-mid 2000s MMOs where people were still experimenting trying to find ways to do creative and original stuff without needing to copy WoW. It might not be the best, but it's incredibly creative.
Gonna need a full series on this masterpiece.

I actually really enjoyed this when I played it.
The character creation is genuinely looking exciting. Even if you wouldn't go as ass-deep on the details like you did initially and just had the option of choosing how much of a furry/scaly you are going to be for all those animals/races, that by itself would be incredibly impressive.
Am I the only one getting a The Room type of vibe from this game? There is some heavy meme potential on this one.
This is actually a mobile game ported to pc, which is why its a bit clunky on pc. Still has a few bugs though.
It is incredibly fun to play. The combat gets better the more you learn about customizing your weapons. Some pets can evolve into even more powerful pets which is the core of this game. It is basically Pokemon + Monster Hunter in a nutshell. Definitely a unique fun experience.
The game is so good that not a single superficial and empty human could apreciate, is out of this world 🤩

I love chimeraland even though it's pay to win but the experience of playing it specially in its early release when the population is high will give you months of fun.
I actually tried this myself a while ago, and I think it is definitely a game that you should try in order to experience the fun within the weirdness yourself - at least for a while. You probably won't stick there, though. Too many technical and quality issues, imo. But I have to give them credit for the boldnes of creating something that far of from the usual stuff.

I’ve played a decent amount of this game and honestly it’s super fun in the beginning. Without a doubt it’s really scuffed and janky, but man is the beast taming (especially the grand/large ones) are one of the best feelings when doing it with friends.
u can easily search partie of other people and do mission or open world bosses together

Seeing this makes me want to see him play Inferna. Not because it's the greatest MMO, but for their small team it's somewhat impressive. And I think it'd make for an amusing video and playthrough.
