Well, although this is the first episode of the series I have ever seen, I think I can safely say no other episode was better, because this one is that good. An entire movie in a 90 minute episode, yet not a wasted moment. Wonderful issue to debate in your mind, and what a cast of characters. Thanks so much for the upload.
Thanks. I was so reminded of the other early law dramas of this genre. Very basic, very new. Watching with younger friends who asked if Law and Order was influence. For some reason this brings to mind '12 Angry Men'. Once again, we Thank You.
Thanks so much for uploading the whole episode ! Enjoyed watching it ! I wish one of those TV retro networks would show this series ! Well written & well cast ! Two powerful guest stars: Telly Savalas & Michael Dunn ! CHEERS !! :-)
I love these old attorney at law series-a bit deeper than Perry Mason🔥🔥🔥🎊🎉💝Thank you so much for uploading seeing about 4 or 5 of these cast members go on to their own series! Telly went on to Kojak, Chuck Connors Rifleman, the Judge Get Smart, Ben Gazarra a Doctor series💥🥰🎊🎉💝❤️
ABC-TV"s "ARREST AND TRIAL" was the "LAW AND ORDER" of its time, debuting in Fall 1963, and short-lived. produced by Revue Studios (Universal), which also co-starred former "THE RIFLEMAN" star, Chuck Conners, and soon to be "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE" star, Ben Gazzara, whose NBC series was a spinoff from a "KRAFT SUSPENSE THEATRE", episode, "Rapture at 2:40". the "ARREST AND TRIAL" episode stars Telly Savalas, who later went on to play in CBS's "KOJAK" (1973-1978), also Universal-produced! The other guest stars in this segment are noted character actress, Penny Santon, who can play French and Italian women, and is highly versatile! Edward C Platt as the judge later went on to play "The Chief" on NBC and Talent Associates' "GET SMART" TV series (1965-1970), and Micheal Dunn is forever remembered as "Dr. Migalito Loveless", a character that writer John Knuebuhl had created and written for CBS's "THE WILD, WILD, WEST" (1965-1970)
Arrest and Trial TV series which ran on ABC from 9/15/1963-9/6/1964. Telly Savalas had appeared as Feto Gomez in The Birdman of Alcatraz of years prior. Chuck Connors was post "The Rifleman" and prior to "Branded".

Great acting by Telly.
He had never taken any acting lessons when he was offered his first role.
Chuck Connors is sensational in his role as defense attorney, the jury sum up is powerful stuff...
Thanks for having put it so well.
This is a great series. Thank you so much for posting it.

Thanks for that tantalizing trivia ! A shame the series only lasted one season. I think it was well written & well cast. :-)
Good episode...never knew of this series.
Telly Was A Very Nice Guy...Great To Work With...Very Low Key.
Love that handsome Ben Gazzara ooh LA LA
Positive law vs natural law. Interesting philosophical question.
What a great show, surely an "inspiration" on Law&Order.
Indubitably !! A shame this well written and well cast series didn't last longer ! :-(
@@jubalcalif9100 Too long at 90 minutes. Only a handful of regular programs have sustained that kind of length.
The person who created Law and Order didn't know this show existed when he came up with the format.

I was wondering about the year this was first broadcast. THANKS !! :-)
they showed the whole episode, but without the universal logo!
Every one should carry a STEN gun.
Not bad at all
What was the very last line that Telly says @ 1:14:39? I couldn't make it out and I think the C.C. was off.
Hey, it's Dr. Loveless from Wild Wild West !!! Since this movie was made, nothing much has changed. No justice.
Was there no PENAL CODE at all back then?
I was wondering what was going on, the guilty never got away with it back then, but telly feeling guilty for the gang war? Silly.
