I just got this product today. I bought a house in 2018 and the lawn was beautiful. Now 2021 I feel like craying when I look at it. The crabgrass took over.
Find any weed killer for lawns that says kills crab grass. Buy an actual sprayer not the one he is using. And do a LIGHT coat then wait two weeks then do another LIGHT coat. Worked great for me. It’s not an overnight thing.
@buck ewer I blame it on the well water, sun exposure, chemicals used working on vehicles, the air I breathe filled with exhaust, and not laziness. But to each their own.
Can I just spray it over all my lawn to prevent weeds from growing back?, or will it kill my grass? I have little weeds growing all over my grass, and I pulled them all out by hand, but can I now just spray the grass and prevent them from growing back without hurting my lawn?
This stuff does have the potential to kill grass if you use it indiscriminately. As you can see from the other commenters it isn't the safest stuff in the world. You'll want to carefully follow the instructions to be safe.
Use actual Roundup for POA, aside from killing it once it's up you need to get it at pre emergent time. POA is very difficult to get completely rid of. It's in the soil.
Im thinking you killed the weed top and the leaves but probably that same weed is back next year from the root so your just kicking forwRd the problem?
Maybe? I think it kills the INDIVIDUAL weed, but doesn't really prevent new weeds from taking seed in your lawn. Honestly? I used a pre-emergent weed preventer last fall and again this spring and my yard had 95% less weeds than the year before.
Does roundup or any weed killer really kill weeds I haven't found any weed killer that can kill any weeds at all or even salted the crap out of them and sprayed water doesn't kill him
Cant say I'm a fan of Bayer formally Monsato branding everything with the roundup name, this roundup for lawns doesn't contain any glyphosate. its a mix of MCPA, Quinclorac, dicamba, and sulfentrazone. which is the same as Q4 Plus

Tom,, you know why comments are turned off on every other roundup video made? So people like me can't comment on how many people this product has given cancer and how many animals it's sent into convulsions. So what I'd like to say to you is this..... May God root anything In you not of him up and out of you. I pray Dear Jesus that you keep Tom safe from harm both mentally and physically.
“It’s a chemical, it’s dangerous, but it works.” Why have a carpet style lawn that needs so much water and chemicals to get rid of “weeds?” Came from that mentality and it’s ridiculous. Found that cultivating a self sustaining “lawn/yard system” is far superior in looks as well as lack of maintenance. I little bit of work and research on the front end to get a wonderful “native” yardscape, but isn’t it work stripping and preparing a lawn for sod or other carpet grass? How interesting looking would it be you saw different native landscapes house to house rather than relatively identical carpet grass patches that you have to worry about …… dandelions?! Crabgrass?! Develop and cultivate a strong native grass/plant environment and let it overpower whatever you consider “undesirable.”
Nothing. Round-up doesn't care about me. I think I bought it for $20 on a whim and it worked pretty well. That being said, I haven't used it much. I found the manual weeder was a little more fun and I have started using Tenacity weed killer instead.
You should be! You may have used too much or your sprayer may have been set for too wide of a spread, meaning that you were accidentally spraying the grass around the weeds as well. I did not have that problem, but I was pretty strategic in my spraying. Do you have little dead spots or do you have a whole area that’s dead?
It's crazy!. I like weeds, as we like to call a certain group of plants. Most of them are good for you. dandelions for example. People need to change their way of thinking, all programmed to think a certain way. Very sad. You can help educate people but they still won't get it. A nice neat lawn for the neighbours and passers-by to look at. I could go on...
Bees sting - have no need for them. And the wind turbines that kill bagillions of birds each year and freeze up during the winter time - wish I could just spray roundup on those and get of them too.
I wish someone would tell RoundUp that they sponsored me because I spent $20 on the stuff and have YET to have anyone pay me for it. I bought from the depot of the home, gave it a test and it seemed to work. Since I made that video a few years ago I've actually switched over to using Tenacity (still a chemical) for patches of weeds and I use the Ames Weed puller to grab dandelions and broadleaf weeds now. Does it matter if the lawn is recently mowed? Still wont kill grass? Work better on the weeds if mowed right before applying?
