Great work! Nice live video. There are tons of useful vocabulary in this lesson. I found this topic useful with regard to gardening, farming, etc. As always, I really admire and appreciate your dedication and commitment to teaching, especially your diligence. Thanks a lot! Godbless and more power to you. ❤❤😊😊
Thanks Mike for your live video that I have to watch later because of the time difference and as I always take notes it takes me longer to watch it,but I love it.Since I live on the ninth floor, I have a large terrace and I think I can almost use all the verbs you have taught us today. For example: I plant and sometimes transplant small or large plants in the soil of my pots, which I water once a week.
I water my plants every morning or evening, it depends on the weather for example, if it rains or not. Here in Cuba it's too hot, it's terrible in Summer and that's why it necessary to water plants.
Gardening is typically done on a smaller scale, often in a backyard or community garden. Farming is a larger-scale operation focused on producing crops and raising livestock. 🐂🐆❤
As I understand you don’t say “hunt for mushrooms” in American English. I know it is used in British English. Forage for sounds to me like you are starving and wild mushrooms is the only way to survive because there are no other ways to get food. But I am not a native speaker and may be wrong.
The "ground" can be soil, rock, gravel, or any other material that forms the surface of the earth. "Soil" is the brown organic matter that plants can grow in.
I appreciate your work. Great explanation as always. Thanks, Teacher Mike.❤
I used to pick flowers in my mother's garden when I was little. I loved it!🌹🏵❤

If I go to the forest hunting for mushrooms, do I pick them and berries or pick them up?
I would probably use "gather" or "forage for" in that situation.
"Pick up" sounds like someone dropped them on the ground.
@@TeacherMikeEnglish Thank you.

Few days ago, I forgot to water my plants so they are wilted today. So I have to dig some small plants. That makes me to be upset.

Hello,
Before husking rice they are called paddy not rice.
Yes✅, but that's not a very common word, and most people would just say "harvest rice".
Soil and ground. What is the difference?
