What if you over lubricate with vasoline and your harp slides fast across your lips and you lose control and it flies across the room straight away and hits your bird?
Could you please, please, please try to do Tom's Diner on harmonica? I would love to play the song on a C harmonica but I cannot find the tabs anywhere
I'm struggling with this big time. When I was playing with the lip, I would just apply vaseline and I was good for the next 30 min or so. Now I am learning to play with the tongue and I found that vaseline doesn't help at all coz tonguing means saliva on the mouth piece which then mixes with the vaseline and the resulting gunk feels like trying to slide against an adhesive. Just hoping the problem diminishes with time and practice. Don't ask me what's gonna change with time, coz I haven't the slightest clue.

Is it fine to just slide the harmonica instead of the my lips? it seems easier
Edit: you move the harmonica not your head.
My harmonica might get descuistang if I wear Vasoline and play
