Even the signature is beautiful and the perfect size and position. I think this card will be the most valuable magic card for all time, even more than a signed artist proof, because having a card designed for play would end up being more valuable, as it would be closer to the historical purpose of the card.

Maaad! This is insane! 🔥👆 I would agree that most signed cards are undesirable, however Christopher Rush is a legend in Magic and he painted one of the most iconic images on any trading card. Now that he's passed away it would only make it even more special. Any other signature or signed card would not be as valuable.
It's nice way to make it even more unique and rarer than all the other Alpha Lotus cards out there. Might even be more PSA10s but they will never get signed now Rush has passed.
How do you get 900k for this ? A 9.5 was recently sold for 150k, I can see a alpha lotus rated a 9 for 90k on ebay sold listing. Those are becket 9.5, and it is pretty much agreed that a psa 10 is a becket 9.5, so they should be in a similar price range. A trade evaluation is something very different. You see when you swap smaller cards for one big card, you have to include one hell of a bonus. Simply because the higher the card value the higher percentage wise will be your buylist price (the price a store is read to pay for it). For this a store might even pay market value and hold it for a few years. If you have 1000$ cards you get like 85%-90%, for 100 $ cards we are already talking maybe 60%-70%, fo 1 dollar cards you only get bulk value (maybe 1$-3$ per 1k cards).
I'm guessing this was a valuation done after the other PSA 10 signed back lotus sold privately for a rumoured $600k (few months before this trade). Also this one has the better signature placement and an infamous provenance. From what I've heard from high end collectors this would grade at least a 9.5 quad (all subs 9.5 or higher) at Beckett. If you consider all those factors then this particular card would easily be in the top 3 in the world.

There is a lot of history behind that card outside the card itself, like who owned it and when, when it was signed (this is a very early signature of rush, and they are super rare, since signing cards became a real thing much later, at that time having alotus signed was seen as crazy, since most people would now regard the card as damaged and having lost 80%-90% in value. So i.f you got cards signed, you got cheap ones signed in the early years. This might very well be the ONLY black lotus having one of the early rush signatures, and it definitely is the only 10. You see back then the artists where hardly recognized.You could get original paintings of famous cards for acouple hundred bucks. I saw an interview where he showed the works he still has, and the ones he has sold already made him more then 1 million bucks. He still has some of the most iconic ones like royal assasin, and I think also lightining bolt, but it might have been fireball, i am not 100% sure. He was simply lucky to have an art gallery nearby that sold em all, and thus got a huge collection.
6.5 million for the original art is the asking price, I highly doubt that they will realize this, because for this price you could buy e.g. a nice Monet, or the Ben Franklin 1 cent Z-Grid, or 2-3 mint Lamborghini Miura, or a case of 1945 Romaneé-Conti, or half of all Black Lotus still out there, including this one.
