I Stayed at the Debua recently and had a Fantastic time. The Staff were very Friendly, the room was great and the Pool area is really beautifull and relaxing, with plenty of beds .Downstairs the area is closed but does not effect the Stay at all.We Shall return 100% and the room rate is great.Any one recommend a better place at the same cost in the same area i shall be very interested to take a look..
the shower did not work at the pool when i stayed there in oct , it's also extremely slippy getting into the pool , I totally agree with the rest of your comments about the service , i also had to wait for the room in the same situation as you , and not too friendly ..You also on occasion have to wait along time for the lift , I would often be gone out at 10am , and when i came back at about 14:00hrs the room still was not cleaned
That's a big improvement on the what it used to be. I stayed there when it was the durn Nam ing hotel. My room had green walls and a ac unit that sounded like a cement mixer. I complained about it and they gave me another room that had pink walls but with a quiet ac. I put up with it because it was cheap. But I'm talking like 15 years ago
I had a huge room in the Adelphi. It was on floor two and faced PP Massage. Having said that, it had a big floor space but quite a cramped shower/toilet room. I liked it there. Think I'll swerve the Debua unless they have good offers on. Thanks.
When I lived here it was one of my favourite haunts too, sadly no longer for many years now. I believe a hotel has been built within the shopping mall but is yet to open.
Did you notice if you can access a spare plug socket and hdmi on the TV? I never bother with hotel tv channels and take a small android box with my own movies and shows on it, But where they build the tvs into the wall sometimes makes it impossible to connect
Think your being a little bit harsh on debua bbb. I agree with your assessment but it’s 1350 baht a night in a near new hotel right in the heart of the action. Great value . Staying there again in 2 weeks 👍
I try to give an accurate account of my stay. It's a decent place with big rooms, the service wasn't horrendous, it just wasn't amazing. I agree with you on the value. It is priced really well in a fabulous location.
let me tell u i stayed at the nature view next door room on the front and theres an italian bar playing live music till 4am i thought they were in my room it was that loud, bang opposite debua, then there drinking on the front lights out till gone 5 screaming and shouting every night then the noise of motor bikes, i had to leave hotel as it was like torture
Found the staff very friendly when I stayed there for 5 days last month. Location great, room was fine, mine looked a litle smaller than yours. TV the same could only get TH-cam to work without logins, sometimes nice to watch normal TV sports and movies. Pool area was nice but like many hotels lacking a bit of atmosphere ie bar area and bit of music maybe. 1 lift for the whole hotel could be slight negative.
@@BigFatBesty Cool. The non-existant balconies and lack of double glazing were my only gripes for this hotel. Oh, and that the fancy bar on the 2nd floor was closed. Vlog off !!!
Noel Phillips is a great TH-camr if you're into planes, Another good (Brit) one is Paul Lucas Wingin It. Does train reviews as well. He's a lot more matter of fact than Noel but still great vlogs.
I watch both of those. Noel and Paul are both great at the airline stuff. When Noel was living in the UK, he was pretty close to where I live, he's also a private pilot like myself.
4* 🤔 they must be walking around with a blindfold on who gave them a 4* maybe a decent 3* hotel not chance in hell would I pay that and as for the pool low walls that's nice and safe "not" You have given an honest review with the room, service and pool and watching this vlog would I stay there a definite no it's pretending to be a 4* but in the real world it's a 3* I thought it was a new build not a refurb build but I could be wrong I am getting older 😂😂😂
Thank you so much, i (was) going to book the DEBUA for ten nights. think im going to stay with the Areca hotel i hear the service is great. Have you ever stayed there what do you think ???
I have stayed at the Areca Lodge a few times, but before I started vlogging so I've never reviewed it. As it is ages since I've stayed there I don't have an up to date view on it. When I did stay there, I thought it was nice to have two pools, the room was OK and the service wasn't my favourite, but like I said it was many years ago so it's not really relevant to what it's like now.
It was OK and it's at a decent price. If I'd have been given a higher floor room and they had a better check in system than a pen and paper then I would have given it a better review. But it was OK. Room was very big compared to most places in it's price bracket. Just in a taxi now heading in to Pattaya. 2 new hotels to be reviewed.
@@BigFatBesty big rooms are good but from your video I prefer the amber as I have stayed there. But like you said you got a good price as I have seen this hotel listed higher
I'm about to pull up at the amber in 2 minutes. I'm not going to review it again though. 3 nights in the amber then onwards for a week at one very very close to the debua, then 3 nights at one on second road.
Good objective review Besty. One thing I did notice at the roof top pool were the pretty low boundary walls in places. Didnt look exactly safe and its a long way down! They just looked far too low.

Good to know besty about the hotel, pool area looks good, hopefully you enjoyed your trip to thailand this time.

There was a lovely pool on top of the Mike shop centre I wonder if it is still there

Debua is good i enjoyed it there. Avoided Amethyst Hotel nearby, lots of covid cases out of there this week.
Most Thailand hotels ring you if you havent gotten it cleaned for 2 days , its also to see if you're dead lol
😂😂😂😂

Hey besty thanks for the Review on the DEBUA , how noisey is the room at night time ?
I don't recall being disturbed by any street noise from buakhao.
let me tell u i stayed at the nature view next door room on the front and theres an italian bar playing live music till 4am i thought they were in my room it was that loud, bang opposite debua, then there drinking on the front lights out till gone 5 screaming and shouting every night then the noise of motor bikes, i had to leave hotel as it was like torture
@craigmitcham2619 thanks for that I couldn't handle the noise either
I never put up with the 2 beds pushed together trick.....I,d be moving rooms immediately.....preferably to a higher floor.
Not too bad for the money, but a long way off somewhere like the AVANI.
Hoping to be there again next weekend 😊😊👍

I spoke to a dude who was staying at Debua and didn't rate the place. He said my hotel (Amethyst) was much better (apart from the balconies).
I shall find out in 3 nights!!
@@BigFatBesty Cool. The non-existant balconies and lack of double glazing were my only gripes for this hotel. Oh, and that the fancy bar on the 2nd floor was closed. Vlog off !!!
Amethyst is absolutely miles better than Debua. It is currently 4 times the price though!

I am guessing I would not stay there with so many hotels to choose from

The Amethyst across the rd on soi 15,,, now thats a 4 * £40 a night
Review of that hotel on the way agyer I've stayed there very soon.

Great review, as always!
Seeing that dome at the pool I was thinking is that a church? But from your assessment I think their are other places better

Good review BFB . I thought it would be better than that..good location tho . Cheers
Do a meet up bro

Good review, i like Noel too
Certainly better than sutus court... smells like poo
Always fun and following your adventures Besty ✅👍
DND = unplug phone
Never 4*
Yeah, there's a lot of questionable star ratings in Pattaya. Baraquda and Blackwoods both claim to be 5, which is completely inexplicable to me.
No one reviews like Tom does !
