Your demo helped me to eject the cassette from Sony vcr which had the tape inside it when we decided to move from dubai to India in 2011. I could get the tape out, the only thing now remains is to find a working video tape to test the vcr.. Thank you
Awesome, glad my mishap could help you. I finally figured out the tapes I had had melted because they were kept in an outside garage, over the years the tape had just melted. Glad this could help you recover your tape.
If it is not a important tape you could do as I did and snip the vcr tape with scissors when the top chassis has been removed.I still use a vcr daily Easy fix, thanks
I know it's been a few years, but do you remember how, at 4:18, the little contraption (with emphasis on "trap") on the right was able to raise and release the tape? That's where our identical machine is having trouble; the thing won't raise up!!! If there's anything you can remember to help, any lever to gently guide along... we're desperate! 🙏
Great video everything proven mode switches in VCR players needs cleaning every now and then everything proven dirty mode switch causes problem's like that or it eats tapes if you don't know what a mode switch is you can go online and say how clean out a mode switch in a VCR player everything will come up what you need to see online everything proven broken vhs tape itself is fixable with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's

It's been many years since I had one apart. I'm thinking you can force the chassis up and out (from the side) and the tape will follow.
Nice vdu cassete came out in goodway i have same VCR but cassete is stuck badly i have to do more efforts thanks for demo.

Great tip! I went through a couple of VCR's and finally realized the tapes were the problem. They had been in storage and had gotten ruined.
My folks have to do it, because I stuck stuff in the VCR when I was two years old, and I got a spanking for that. My mom pull stuff out with her hand.

i have same VCR, tape is stuck, took it apart, got tape off load rollers, still will not eject cartridge
did you ever figure out what was wrong with the vcr?
the tapes...they were in my dad's garage and melted.
