End of Life based on what? Windows security update? LMAO. The best way to avoid virus is using common sense. I have been using my PC without Defender about 10 years and no virus yet. As long as Steam will support it. Win 10 will live.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called Linux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called Linux distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux!

@@KotleKettle I'd rather list reasons W11 isn't garbage. which is none. it's basically a shitified W10 with a new skin slapped on it, no more or less. everything bad about W10, W11 makes it worse while also offers absolutely nothing better.

      Have a few questions:
How likely someone could hack your computer.
How easy it is to break to a point of no fixing.
Which distribution is best (well mantained with security updates)
Which distribution is best for new user who never used

Almost no regular person uses Photoshop or Affinity. There's data on this, and the numbers are tiny. These are specialized tools for professionals. Really annoying to see this constantly being brought up. The availability of games is a much bigger concern than Photoshop.

everything bad in windows is a choice made by MS .
ADs Telementry Edge Bing new file Explorer in win11 and start menu in win11 and 8 .
it like the people who made the best OS are required to make the worst Apps and programs .

I don't know why Microsoft decided to require at least an 8th generation chip. There are some Windows 10 PCs that may not be compatible with Windows 11 but still work well. This will create allot of ewaste, throwing out good working PCs

Thanks for the video and your thoughts.
I have 3 computers. On my main desktop computer I have for 6 months ago moved from Windows 10 pro 22H2 to Windows 10 IOT LTSC 21H2. I did it because I knew that these system would be hard to find in 2025. No one of my pc's is Windows 11 supported, and I think that Microsoft will pull the plug to get updates on unsupported hardware in some time in 2025, to force Windows 10 users either to pay for 1 year off extra support or to buy a new pc. The other 2 computers will take the Linux way. One will be Mint and the other a light verion due to the processor and ram usage.

If you want solid, just works, and stays out of your way then use fedora. Also "if you break something in Linux it's hard to fix" I disagree, do a quick Google search of your problem and someone has had the same issue somewhere along the line, and fixed it with an explanation on how. It's very well documented. Now, if something breaks on windows and you get a repeated blue screen, how do you fix that? Ahhhh now that is hard. You have to think from both sides of the isle here.
Yes the software is not to windows level yet, but the last few years I've seen more and more companies port to Linux.... Even Microsoft uses it, because it's that good. I have 2 SSD's one for windows 1tb for when I do need to use something for windows, and another 1tb, for everything else on Linux. I'm not saying Linux is for everyone, because I'd be lying to myself, but most people don't even give it a try long enough to give it a chance.

Dont worry you can still go back to Win 7 and enjoy a much better experience :)
Jokes a side i will still use Win 10 as much as i did with Win 7 so im not gonna wory much about going to Win 11.
Microsoft might rethink his requirements for Win 11 as LTSC its all optional and you can install it on a 15 years old PC without issues, only the PRO/Home ask for those and for a Home user should not be forced those TPM/Secure boot etc should be forced for big companies or work spaces.(Some said microsoft did let old systems with just secure boot to upgrade with in windows update to Win 11).

windows 11 is a POS. I do believe in Linux but its not that mature yet. it's so close tho. I mean you can game pretty well on it.however Ubuntu on youtube on my old laptop overheats but on windows it runs fine. the ui doesn't always look right on my tv bc of dpi settings... SMB ive spent quite a bit of time trying to get work right...and it still doesnt...
so... yeah it's good but not quite there.. there's other issues as well but I feel like it will get there.

To all the Linux fanboys claiming Windows 11 is garbage, let’s face the reality, while Linux is great for customization and being open source, you can’t do nearly as much on it. Sad but true. Also, using Linux doesn’t make you cool, so if you’re trying to flex, maybe focus on something else. Just accept the reality.

As a Win 11 user. It's not carbage but it is not great either. Let people use what they want. Definitely gonna try Linux as a dual boot in some point. If your life revolves around gaming then Windows is for you.

@@ped-away-g1396 Just answer this simple question, what can you actually do on Linux? Be honest with yourself. If Windows 11 is 'garbage,' then Linux isn’t even in the same league for most real-world use cases.
