Just watching how you dismantled that was a surprise - it was like a PUZZLE-BOX. Just that bit would have taken me an hour or more. As ever it was the dust and rubbish produced by using it that caused a major problem. I have the older 10.8V Bosch tool of this type, It is a great tool but rather under-powered these days.
tbf that is a January sale deal - usual price is around $150 so not wildly different. Still a good deal for a quality tool if you use that battery system - repair is still much less than half price for a tool that will continue on for years
I think the play that was in the battery after the repair is intentional. They knew these things transferred a lot of vibration and I’m told on this tool they designed it that way, not on the new one though.
He can always put less of the bit into drill chuck to get more length. Anyone who fixes tools probably has 150 and 200mm set of torx and phillips bits to deal with this, this is not a bad design - you just need proper "tools" to fix these tools. i've met kitchen mixers who were worse than this regarding length of holes where screws were.
That disassembly would be a real pain to figure out the first time! Also appreciate the brief tour of what is and isn't expensive to replace.
Hats off to all those around the world who design all of these tools. Literally, where would you start?
Nice repair.
Now that's a special repair there. Always glad to see the right tools for the right job.
Nice job Dean. Can't wait till the next one
Super video as always sir. Very useful indeed, thank you.
Dean the magician..BISH .BASH.. BOSCH..😂
I'll rather own Bosch than millwrinkles
Thanks for the video.
Just wondering about the gap between the battery connector and the new body, looks rather large?
Nice one
what is the greaser you use when you rebuild a bosch hamer drill

Very interesting
Please tell me, does the Bosch one 4 all battery fit the Bosch professional range?
No it doesn’t. Bosch professional (blue) is not compatible with their DIY/ one4all (green) range.
Ok thank you, not so one 4 all!!
nice

Why are parts so expensive there in northern Ireland?
He's in Dún na nGall
I think he must start cleaning de multi tool.
Sa veux dire meme bosch asteur on peux pas changer juste un morceaux cest rendu toute de meme asteur ... pas juste milwaukee on dirais
bah, au moins chez bosch on peut acheter les pièces.
When we going to see you do some Irish scones?
The design of the housing seems really poor. Needlessly difficult to disassemble.
If your screwdriver had been 2mm shorter then you wouldn't have gotten the screw inside the housing tightened.
Note to self, don't buy Bosch.
Or buy longer screwdriver lol

The worst multimaster clone I’ve ever used. Doesn’t need to wear anything away. It throws its batteries off out of the box.
